  1. No. It can't. And I strongly dislike Roethlisberger. The insecurity around here is strong.
  2. I like Schefter and think he's credible, but I find it extremely hard to believe that the only other team to contact him was the Browns.
  3. Perhaps. None of us are in Newton's inner circle.
  4. I don't disagree. Da Bears and Titans should have been all over this.
  5. Cam has $120+ million in career earnings, not including endorsements. This is a pretty clear sign, I think, of how serious Newton is about winning and playing for Belichick.
  6. There's a lot of variables here. I'd say a single 1st rounder from 15 on, coupled with some later round picks.
  7. Right! The delusion on this board sometimes...
  8. They should be able to at least split. Assuming Cam is ready to go, Belichick is still Belichick. McDermott better be ready!
  9. So there will be no excuses from you if the Bills are, again, unable to beat the Pats, let alone for the division title? Right?
  10. Damn...kinda knew this would happen, but after he sat on the FA shelf for so long, I thought it was becoming unlikely. I knew Bill liked the thought of a dual threat QB.
  11. I'm not an Allen believer until he proves himself. That said, I've always drawn the comparison to a young Elway. I don't think a better compliment can be given to a 3rd year QB.
  12. Replace "hole" with "question mark" and he'd be accurate.
  13. Bingo. He has the athleticism to be good wherever, but I feel he's being wasted at MLB. If this were a Belichick coached team, Edmunds would be in the Ninkovoch/Vrabel role, wreaking havoc!
  14. This is a tough one. I remember back in the BBMB days, a large portion of that crowd wanted Hughes in 2nd round. Shady was the only consistent piece that made this team watchable for the majority of his time here. Taking longevity into consideration, I favor the Hughes trade.
  15. I love tennis! Vastly underrated sport.
  16. QB: C RB: B TE: C WR: B+ OL: C CB: B S: B+ LB: C+ DL: C+ ST: C Pretty spot on, OP. We're not awful or elite anywhere. Just a solid group that, collectively, can make some noise.
  17. I completely disagree. Cook has cards here, the Vikings cap situation notwithstanding. Minnesota is an ok team without Cook, but they're a top tier team with him. Dalvin is one of the best 3 or 4 backs in football when healthy. The time for him is now, not after another season of wear and tear.
  18. The Vikings will not be trading Cook if they have any desire to be good this season.
  19. Shoulda, coulda, woulda. It didn't work. It was a boneheaded play.
  20. I'd sit him, based on the injury alone. Not that he needs to, but I think it would help greatly to learn behind a grizzled vet like Fitz. The Mahomes/Alex Smith scenario. If Tua's going to be the franchise, then the Phins should be in no rush.
  21. Better late than never, I guess.
  22. Even though you're well meaning, that phrase was used in the past as, "You're so well spoken for a black man (or woman)." Like, the shock and awe that a person of color isn't using ebonics and choosing to enunciate. It's real. Blame racists for ruining, what could have been, a simple compliment.
  23. Fitz has a lot of weapons on offense and he's back with Gailey. Miami is going to be a tough out, I think.
  24. I know what you're saying but that fact that his friend felt the need to post this publicly leads me to believe this isn't the first time he's made "off-color jokes".
