  1. The only fear the league has is of losing money. It's the only fear they've ever had and likely the only fear they ever will have.
  2. Actually no, but nice pull. Tessio...??
  3. Exactly! Many here would be fine with a Tannehill or Dalton situation. I am not. As long as Josh shows progress, he should be safe, but the window is open now! He has to make the leap.
  4. Ok, you got me. McDermott is better than Belichick.
  5. Belichick rebuilt the Browns and had them trending in the right direction. They went 11-5 in 1994 and WON a playoff game. Then Modell announces the team is moving during the 1995 season. Kind of a special set of circumstances there.
  6. Waiting a year while he's under contract for the next 2 doesn't risk anything.
  7. Could have waited a year, but it was inevitable. McDermott is a good coach that is deserving of seeing his vision through.
  8. https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.cbssports.com/nfl/news/nfl-team-by-team-opt-out-tracker-matthew-stafford-c-j-mosley-among-players-who-will-pass-on-2020-season/amp/ I knew Stafford wasn't going to play. His wife is a cancer survivor and just gave birth to their 4th child about a month ago.
  9. https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.wsj.com/amp/articles/covid-long-term-effects-sports-athletes-nba-bubble-11593161922 Here's a good read from the WSJ.
  10. Maybe "regain their peak physical conditioning" is a better way to word it. And yes you have, unless you've completely ignored posts in this very thread.
  11. The uncertainty is enough for me. No one knows how it will effect them or their family members. That should be enough of a scare for most. How much is your life or the life of a loved one worth? Not to mention the stories of asymptomatic athletes that haven't fully regained their ability. Covid and its effects are real. I can't fault anyone for taking their and their loved ones health seriously.
  12. My supervisor's 10 month old granddaughter was in the ICU for 5 days, fighting this virus. She's still not out of the woods yet. The media had absolutely nothing to do with it.
  13. *On that note, I can't imagine that Matthew Stafford is going to risk it.
  14. I agree, but from Seattle's perspective, they're expecting to be picking very late in the 1st round and Adams might be the final piece for that defense. If they somehow manage to re-sign Clowney, look out!
  15. The State Department, huh? Guess it's Woody's time on the never-ending revenge tour... https://www.cbssports.com/nfl/news/jets-chairman-christopher-johnson-says-hell-pay-any-anthem-related-fines-for-jets-players/
  16. This board is going to be very interesting if Allen fails to take the next step.
  17. All aboard...the night train!
  18. Godspeed, John Lewis. Thanks for your relentlessness in the face of adversity. #goodtrouble
  19. The longer the Cowboys wait, the more they're going to have to pay Dak. They have no other alternative and no, Dalton is not as good as Prescott.
  20. Good to see deserving players getting paid as opposed to over valued middling QBs.
