  1. There was a lot going on. The Matt Ryan sack that took them out of field goal range to go up 31-3, I think, was a killer. They were snapping the ball with 10 or more seconds left on the play clock and they completed abandoned the run after halftime. Belichick's defense was also lights out that 2nd half. It was a collapse of epic proportions. Still makes me mad.
  2. Above all, I have a good feeling about Adam Peters at GM, which makes me less skeptical about the hire of Quinn. I think Quinn showed great judgment delegating offensive responsibilities to Shanahan in Atlanta and I think he's doing it again with Kingsbury. Kliff isn't stupid and will get monster production out of Robinson and Pitts, barring injury. Of course, a lot depends on what they do at QB, which falls on Peters. I don't know. Strangely, even to me, it just feels like right.
  3. And he may be. I see it as a different scenario than his first stint. I think he's earned a 2nd shot and we'll see where it goes. He might have a Pete Carroll like resurgence, from the *Patriots to the Seahawks. Not likely, but it could happen.
  4. It's as true for Josh and Burrow and it was for Ben, Rivers, Brees and Rodgers. Which means it really isn't.
  5. We get it. You don't like him and think it was a bad hire. Time will tell, right?
  6. After that Super Bowl, that team and Quinn's tenure was toast. They were never going to recover from that.
  7. The man was in phenomenal shape his entire life.
  8. They have exactly what the majority of this board was once clamoring for, a committee - and it works. Dotson is a fine receiver. Both he and McLaurin suffered with Howell as QB.
  9. He has McLaurin and Dotson at WR. Brian Robinson, Gibson and Rodriguez Jr is a legit RB trio. The most cap room in the league and the #2 pick in the draft (likely Drake Maye). Seems like a prime situation to mold a franchise.
  10. We're not getting anywhere. Especially if you're going to diminish all of Quinn's accomplishments, for some strange reason, and focus solely on his failures. Right. John Lynch did it all by himself. No help, guidance or suggestions anywhere along the way.
  11. But he does have Super Bowl experience and a ring, coaching one of the most dominant units in league history. He's dealing with almost the complete opposite situation in Washington. A young team, tons of cap room and the #2 pick in the draft. He wouldn't have been my choice, but given they have Adam Peters at GM, I'm going to trust his judgment. After all, he helped build the current 49er squad.
  12. Dallas defense was spotty for sure, but it's not like they're terrible. Wasn't he the defensive coordinator for the Legion of Boom?
  13. Initially I didn't like the hire but now that I've had time to think about it, Quinn is legit. There's a strong 49er connection with Adam Peters. Also, Quinn led Atlanta to the Super Bowl with Kyle Shanahan as his OC (should have won). They have the most cap room in the league and the #2 pick in the draft. I can dig it.
  14. Lamar didn't play great by any means, but in fairness, had Flowers not fumbled who knows how that game would have gone.
  15. Oh yeah. The majority of this board wanted anyone but Allen. I was on the Rosen train and wanted nothing to do with Mayfield.
  16. I banged the table for DK. I saw something with him that I'm not seeing with Xavier. Admittedly, I didn't pay as much attention to AJ Brown.
  17. Even in his highlights, you don't see separation. What you see is a limited route tree and contested catches. No thank you.
  18. So what was the conspiracy theory the other 2x they won the Super Bowl before Taylor and Kelce began dating? Everything is "rigged" or a conspiracy these days. It's quite annoying.
  19. The worst team in the league would be the Carolina Panthers. Mahomes with Thielen, Chark and Hubbard would have been battling for supremacy in the NFC South.
  20. I want no parts of Leggette. 5 years before he began to produce, his route tree is limited and his highlights are filled with contested catches, which leads me to believe that he doesn't separate, bringing us back to his route running. The NFL is filled with great athletes. You have to be more than that.
  21. Definitely watching. The only time I didn't want to watch a Super Bowl was Brady vs Foles, as I did not want to see Brady and NE win again, but that was 5 Super Bowl wins in for the Patriots.
  22. But he is unquestionably better. If they both retired today only 1 of them is going to the Hall of Fame in 5 years. Can you imagine if roles were reversed and Chiefs fans were telling you that Mahomes is better than a 2x MVP, 2x Super Bowl Champion 2x Super Bowl MVP Josh Allen? The game is about more than stats. Do you think Matt Ryan is better than John Elway because he has better stats?
