That one spot is to resign Reid.

With Shorter injured I could see Isabella getting a lot of call ups early in the season. Probably a big reason he wanted to stay in Buffalo to showcase himself early in season in hopes someone signs him to their 53.

Yeah Chiefs absolutely killed it with Clyde Edwards Helaire who lost his starting job. And the backup RB job. No matter how good a team is they all have their fair share of players thay didnt pan out like they expected to. Jackson Carman from the Bengals cant win a starting job. He was drafted 46th overall.... all teams miss on players in the draft. And its even harder to draft when you are the best of the best cause you pick at the backend of each round. Fact of the matter is that most of the Bills draft selections are still on NFL rosters. Which is what you want to be successful.

Bills @ Bears Game Day Thread?!?!?!?
Kmart128 replied to EmotionallyUnstable's topic in The Stadium Wall
That was an absolute rope by Kyle Allen. Perfectly placed. And nice soft hands by Morris -
Not too late. Im sure we will add a depth OT with someone who was cut. Maybe even another MLB. But we will probably wait until roster cut day

O’Cyrus Torrence Dominating (video breakdown)

Yet he still made the block to spring Murray. Id rather a LB tackle the guy without the ball. -
Preseason Week 2 - Bills Vs. Steelers, what do you hope to see?
Kmart128 replied to Chaos's topic in The Stadium Wall
I meant in terms of play calling. He knows this defense better than anyone else on this roster... he knows the terminology and it would make sense from a playcaller perspective to have the guy that knows the defense the most make the play calls. -

Obviously he would have to adjust. But he is a ball player. Balls players knows how to succeed with whatever a team asks of them. Milano being in the system for as long as he has been would definitely help. Honestly there is not much difference between Mike and Will in our system with only have 2 linebackers on field.... i think he could definitely make the transition in a single offseason -

I am a firm believer of putting best 2 players out there. And after seeing Dorian play he is probably our second best linebacker. He was all over the field. I know he is a rookie and you have to learn way more as a MIKE compared to the WILL. Im just surprised we didnt move Milano over to MLB and start Dorian at WLB. Milano is by far most experienced linebacker we have and i would feel most comfortable with him having play calling duties. If it were to happen they would have had to do it way before now but i think thats the route they should have taken. -
He has tools but he conplete broke down when we brought any sort of pressure at him.

Yeah but thats why I think Kyle Allen looked so bad that first drive out of the half. He was on pace for 16-30 244 Yards for a full game... not great but considering he was playing with backups and Colts had their starters in longer. And he is learning a new offense. Id hardly say awful... bot great by anymeans but ive seen way way worse performances. Especially in preseason. Heck ive seen worse performances out of Barkley in the past
-
The 3rd string OLine was pretty bad. Allen had no time that first series. He didnt play horribly. Barkley obviously looked awesome vs 3rd stringers and seemed to have timing perfect. Allen still has work to do but i would say solid. Colts had their starters out ther longer than us so he played a lot with our backups and their starters. And he had to deal with some pretty bad crucial drops from Shakir and Morris that would have extended drives.

Thought he has looked decent for a backup QB. Has some nice zip on his throws. Took some smart plays. Even with us having backups in and Colts still having some starters in

Bills release first official depth chart of 2023
Kmart128 replied to StHustle's topic in The Stadium Wall
I think Spector is out of the race because of what Beane said during his interview with Pat Mcafee. He said that if a player has a great day with the 3s then theyd move him up to 2s. And if he plays well with 2s they would try them withs 1s and see how they look. My guess is he looked great on days he ran with 2s and 3s but not as good on days he got reps with the 1s. Im also surprised that Torrence and Bates dont have a slash next to their name like the other battles. Especially since Torrence seem to be getting most reps with 1s. -
They never said he is nothing more than a WLB. Thats just his best position rn. He is a 3rd round rookie and has a lot to learn before handing the reigns of a defense to him. They are putting him in position to succeed right away. And who knows injuries do happen and Milano hasnt been the healthiest player we have had

Training Camp opens today! 2023 Season is upon us!
Kmart128 replied to Chandler#81's topic in The Stadium Wall
I dont know. Everytime ive watched him play he seems to play better than Benford and Jackson. He always made plays when he saw action last year... so not sure why he doesnt get the first shot. Maybe he is just bad in practice -
Based on the interviews from Josh, Sean and Von. This makes the most sense. Itll explain the reasoning when Josh Allen says its not all about football and teamwork/communcation should be better. Itll explain why Sean is a little peeved as he doesnt want player putting their input into his coaching staff. I think Stefon Diggs just wants some input in the team direction and especially when it effects him personally. The WR coach was also involved in the meeting. I dont think it has anything to do with Dorsey... but feel maybe we ignored Diggs request of a WR coach or maybe wasnt even asked at all.

Could be a good stat. Could show that even if he makes some mistakes he helps keep the team in it...

Kaiir Elam - Breakout Player of 2023
Kmart128 replied to hondo in seattle's topic in The Stadium Wall
I wouldnt even say he had an inconsistent rookie season... seemed when given opportunities he played good. Atleast better than the 2 CBs that were ahead of him on the depth chart. Not sure what Bills coaches saw in practice but when he was put into the game we had much better success defensively -
Because i dont think anyone here expected him to fall to us. Most projected him in 15-20 range. Based off our visits it seemed we were gonna wait until round 3-5 to address the TE position behind Knox. But when someone of his caliber falls you take him and put them om the field together.

Bills at jets monday opener ESPN/ABC on week 1
Kmart128 replied to djp14150's topic in The Stadium Wall
Dont exactly think a week 1 matchup determines if there is a power shift. Last year we started 0-2 in division then proceeded to go 5-0 the rest of the season with division games. 2 years ago Steelers beat us week 1. Week 1 is such a horrible indicator because bad teams have so much time to prepare that they can play way better than they will the rest of season. -
Apparently he was released from his XFL for leaking plays... ideally not a guy id bring to mini camp. But looks like out other QB invite signed with a CFL team the other day and probably wont be at our mini camp id imagine.
