  1. So, not a real committed fan then?
  2. From what little I know about him, the most heartening aspect of his approach is tailoring his plans to the actual players he has, and the D he's facing that week. What a concept, eh?
  3. That's the most common reason around here for groundswells.
  4. Went to St. Francis, noted cradle of NFL execs and coaches?
  5. Also, both the Rams and Eagles had lots of good players scattered across their rosters when the added those QBs. Unlike the Bills, who have weaknesses all over the roster, they only had a relatively few glaring flaws and so weren't as reliant upon the draft to improve. Not so the Bills this year.
  6. Outside of Darnold, I don't think any of the other QBs are worth the draft capital being kicked around here. Rudolph's game is not at all NFL ready and will need a ton of work. Could easily wind up an EJ/Geno type. Mayfield is short, with smallish hands, and a questionable "head. Slot him as a Flutie. Rosen has a ton of talent but his teams have done nothing. I don't mind his supposed character flaws; I think he's a good kid. My concern with him is his fragility. Draft him and you might have the next RG3. Which leaves Sam Darnold as worthy of a major trade and I can't imagine any of the teams needing a QB letting him get past them. I'd also feel a whole lot better about a major commitment to him if he spent another year at SC.
  7. You can both respect a coach's ability while also despising him as a person. Think Belichick.
  8. Any examples of the "mainstream media" doing this? Because what I see and hear is reporting on accusations, not claiming they're true. That's what reporters do. FOX news of course always moves from reports to claims of truth but its a full-on propaganda/House of Lies operation and is not considered a true mainstream news operation.
  9. The immigration quotas from those Norwy type of countries tend to go begging because people from those places tend to be quite content with things at home. Most of us trace our ancestry to places that were "shitholes" at the time: Ireland, Italy, Poland, The Balkans, Ukraine, Hungary and all the other fringe European countries. BTW, African immigrants way out perform American blacks AND whites in academic achievement, entrance into professions and success in business.
  10. Banjos are associated with mountain music. Tuscaloosa is flat land cotton blues country. In any case, he's from WNY, went to St. Francis. Cue the polka band.
  11. Neither of your assertions is true.
  12. Among the last of the truly greats. We are left with the "Are you kidding me" dregs with bad cases of hysteria.
  13. Haven't paid attention to the details. What's he been wrong on?
  14. Why would a top player sign such a deal? And maybe we could make a trade for Robert Woods.
  15. And how do you know that?
  16. I think you've mistaken the twig for the tree. Marrone has no tree whatsoever.
  17. Your scenario makes it seem all the bargaining power is with the Bills, who will be dictating terms that favor OBD. I suggest reality is just the opposite.
  18. You must really hate bean soup then.
  19. You do understand how an NFL draft works, don't you? You don't get to move up just because you feel like it; you have to give something to do that. And to get close to where the Bills need to be to get one of the supposedly premiere QBs, it is going to take multiple picks. Supposedly that's why they've been collecting all those picks. So if anybody's in Ditka mode, it's OBD. In any case, whether you go all in to draft a top QB, or you go after him thru a trade, it's going to cost a lot. Or you could wait till free agency and hope a decent one is available and is willing to play for Buffalo. I find the last one to be magical thinking.
  20. I think Reid does care. Besides, would you want a guy who doesn't want to be here?
  21. Which is why I don't favor bringing him in. He will cost at least one of those first round picks and you haven't really solved the franchise QB problem.
  22. Not a chance Garropolo comes to Buffalo and I can't imagine Cousins picking Buffalo. Would Smith want to play here and would Reid make that trade if Smith was opposed to it? I think Minne keeps Keenum. I see no evidence Bridgewater is an improvement. Who does that leave?
