I understand that it is the union's job to protect its members. However, word is that the NFLPA is going to sue the NFL if/when they levy a heavier suspension/fine upon Watson. The union then comes across as condoning the individuals actions, thus setting a dangerous precedent...or does it? Do they just intend a show of force without real action so as to say "we tried"? What a calamity.

Why do we argue w/ Scott and Badol? They are never satisfied and love to second guess every move. Let them be. It's better not to feed them

I would like to add one key fact. All of these pundits that panned Josh as a likely failure achieved their major goal. They got clicks and we are still talking about it today four years later. Were they right? No, absolutely not. But, they are media and they are doing media things to achieve media goals.

He was extremely intelligent in putting himself into a situation in which he will look good pretty much no matter what. Josh Allen is the difference maker. He was asking Sam Darnold and Teddy Bridgewater to do things that Joe Burrow could do. Now, he has a player who can do everything Joe Burrow can do plus plus plus. That’s a luxury no other NFL franchise can currently boast.

The whole crowd chanting “stroke! Stroke! Stroke!” That would be incredible. Winner!

I think that is a good take on the situation. I guess, because of the draft years, we are one year behind the Chiefs in terms of having to deal with contract situation due to the contract extension that each of the teams’ star quarterbacks signed. I agree with you that Poyer is likely a goner after this year, mainly due to the fact that they more than likely would’ve signed a contract at this point if the plan was to retain him. We will see what comes of Knox and Edmunds and Oliver in the next few years.

So is that the year that they clean house? It just seems ridiculous to do so. Get in your new coach and let him work with the players and put his system in place. If you’re going to tank, let it be a learning experience.

This is the team that really has the biggest question marks and it has nothing to do with any possibility of a success story this year. Why in God’s name would you roll with a 70+ year old coach and a GM who has made repeatedly bad decisions for the past six seasons? If you were going to trade the best quarterback your franchise has ever had and roll with Geno Smith and Drew Lock as your quarterbacks, then you should probably go ahead and recognize that the time has come to move forward and rebuild the franchise from the GM to the coach. There is some talent on this team, it’s just no longer in the front office or coaching ranks.

You cannot overstate the importance of McCaffrey to that team. He is their best player by such a wide margin....but his health has taken a 2 year hiatus and it seems to be enjoying the vacation....
