  1. Not sure if anyone else noticed this, but de Beer and Mike Love are both UDFA signings. Beer and Beach Boys-sounds like a great Saturday night circa 1984
  2. I disagree. He made some throws last year that were nothing short of incredible. His ability to roll out and toss a ball 60 yards while running towards the sideline avoiding completely un-blocked defenders is awe-inspiring to anyone who loves watching a qb toss the pigskin. That being said, you are largely speaking the truth and that's why I am advocating for him to spend immense time on the practice field, the film room and listening to the coaching staff with a focus on Daboll who has been witness to how the GOAT prepares and can assuredly pass on some of that wisdom. Game time will come and is obviously a mandatory part of his maturation process into a legitimate franchise quarterback. Which I just have to trust he will become.
  3. We can't use the Wentz/Goff/Wilson model with Allen. He's far too raw. No matter how good he looks in TC, they have to let him sit at least half a season and see the game, picking up its nuances and really settling into his mechanics and footwork. I want greatness, but he needs teaching and not throwing him to the wolves is the right call.
  4. I slept on it last night and am paying this morning. Advil and Gatorade, here I come....
  5. I can very much imagine Levi making the team and surprising with some strong play. Good UDFA pick-up.
  6. We generally do this where the OP is tracking the UDFA's so we're not scrolling down. @SDS can we shut this down and start again with, let's say @26CornerBlitz handling it? Not to volun-tell anyone...
  7. I know many will disagree, but if he was in a jogging suit, with headphones and a clipboard through the first 5 weeks, I would think it's the best thing for him. I want him as connected to Daboll as can be, so if games are called from the box, put him up there to see what Daboll sees.
  8. Kyle, God bless him, should not be expected to play even 60% of the downs this season. Get him a guy to mentor and to back him up and supplant him by seasons end.
  9. I can't remember seeing so many RB's go in the first 3 rounds
  10. I haven't read one piece or seen one thing about him that makes me believe he is a Day one, or even year one, starter. I like what he's made of, but there is a bunch of molding to do with that clay
  11. Everything Allen says is met with a degree of trepidation. EJ really had me excited his first presser by acting the part as well as anyone I had seen. However, I have a sense that we are looking at something special in Josh Allen. Too many trustworthy former scouts and long-time analysts look upon him as a genetically built QB. He has the persona you look for and a seemingly high degree of drive. I'm not sold until I see the merchandise hit the field and perform like a 7th pick should, but I am very, very intrigued and won't join the negative nellies. Man, you've put in a lot of posts in under 24 hours.
  12. I definitely feel better after watching that. Science is a beautiful thing
  13. Mead has been posting here for a long, long time. He has never been a LAMP poster. He was having a bit of fun and I, amongst many, found it amusing as I never once felt he was serious.
  14. I'm not going to blindly cheer this team, this regime or this decision in regards to Allen. However, that kids arm is golden. He could be a star and I see why they did what they did. What they need now is a wr that can go get that ball because as it stands, our wrs are positioned to get the ball in Allen 's weakest areas.
  15. I will admit I wanted Rosen, but I will also admit I support the Allen pick. There's a reason that many thought he would go #1 and that many are still surprised that Baker went instead of him. I'm an optimist, so I expect great things.
  16. Happy to see LVE wasn't going to be there at 22. Makes this move even better
