I’d teeter between A- and B+. statisticaly impressive game for sure, and he drove the offense well. The fumbles suck, of course, and so does the endzone overthrow. But let’s also consider this is week 1, no fans, no preseason, and a lot of different protocol. For all that craziness I’d roll A-. Middle of the season? B+. I think those circumstances impact the grade at least by some metric.

1-0. 300 yard, 2 pass TD, 1 Rush TD for Josh. 71% completion percentage. Won by 10 (last TD for Jets was garbage time) First game of the season with no preseason at all. Rookie kicker should have been 3/4. Plenty of room for improvement, don’t get me wrong, but you can’t be mad at the end of the day. Want the rush game to strut next week, better ball protection, and less mental mistakes. (Jets first TD never happens if Edmunds gets that tackle). Clean up duty. Need those linebackers to get healthy. We won. On to week 2.

Don’t risk the QB on a meaningless TD week 1. Take the 3 and move on. 3 score game 3 mins to go. Do your job and get ready for next week

Jags front office isn’t wise enough to do that 5 games into the season. 8 games in after Houston embarrasses them in their own home? Yes. 2-6 record and Douggie is out the door. Gase is a candidate too but the Jets kept Rex around past his expiration. I’m guessing he finishes the season. Might even be back for one more knowing the Jets lol.

I play in a 12 team 2qb PPR league. Allen was gone a few picks before my 5th round selection. I picked 10/12 (snake), so I was doing a little Over-drafting to get the guys I wanted. Missed Allen and Moss in rounds 5 and 7 respectively by a few picks. Missed Bills D by 4 picks. Got Diggs in round 5 with Allen gone and got Gabe Davis as my last pick flyer. I was thinking today about some of the funniest moments in Buffalo fandom, mostly from a time when we didn’t have a playoff team to cheer for. Even when the team didn’t show up, the fans always did, and sometimes went to a whole new extreme. Whether it was a billboard demanding the firing of staff members, funny signs in the stands, or certain shaped objects hitting the field when Brady came to town.
