  1. Hickman, I think, will outperform his late-round pick in my opinion. Poyer and Hyde ran slower at the combine and they turned out pretty good. I will say he is on the smaller side though. Idk, based on what I have seen I think he will do fine, but may need a year or two before he will break out
  2. I know someone who isn’t scared at all.
  3. Ok, throwing my hat in here, and trying to pick 1 player at each position. I don’t necessarily know who will be the “best” at their respective position but I feel like these players will go on to do well in the league: 1. Peter Skoronski OT 2. Bijan Robinson RB 3. Steve Avila G 4. Jack Campbell LB 5. John Michael Schmitz C 6. Tre’Vius Hodges-Tomlins CB 7. Nathaniel Dell WR 8. Mazi Smith DT 9. Jordan Battle S 10. Tuli Tuipulotu DE Late Round Gems: 1. Jonathan Mingo WR 2. Ronnie Hickman S 3. Zack Kuntz TE 2 more just for the sake of argument: 4. Andrew Voorhis G - whoever drafts him may wait a year to use him but I think he is going to be good/great when healed up. With an investment in the 5th for sure 5. Mohammed Ibrahim RB - Deepest cut I have. 7th rounder/UDFA possibly but he performed well and I think is worth a late flyer to see what he can do in the pros
  4. He had a great 2nd half of the year. I’d be interested to see what he’d command but there’s not a shortage of mid-tier LBs coming available as possible Edmunds replacements. I’m firmly on the “Trade back and get Campbell” side of things though. I know, I know, we need OL but I have a feeling he’s gonna be different.
  5. Woof, that’s huge. Bears still get a top-10 pick and likely have someone amazing fall to them when a small run on QBs inevitably takes place. Get a good WR out of it as well. This also disintegrates one of my proposed trade back partners in the Panthers, but I could see Chicago moving up for someone in late 1st/early 2nd range… with their extra capital it’s not a significant hit if they have their eyes on a player (Robinson is my guess)
  6. Not that I’m advocating for moving on Davis, but if you’re going to do it use the 2nd on Hopkins. That’s about all I can suggest.
  7. “Why, Johnny Mingo… you look like someone just walked over your grave.” I’m sorry, I’m dumb. I like Mingo too - I had him as a mid-3rd rounder - early 4th but I think he’s going late 2nd - early 3rd after the combine.
  8. So is he going to Minnesota in 2 years next, right? in 15 years will he be (allegedly, don’t want to get sued) caught trying to steal from welfare funds?
  9. Mid 40s roughly would look like this for me: Offense: G Steve Avila C John Michael-Schmitz Defense: LB Jack Campbell in my eyes it’s got to be those 3 unless someone like a good WR falls for some reason. They’re all immediate starters for sure. I don’t think any of them last to 59 so take whomever you think is going to be BPA. At 59 I think you can get a WR like Dell and go from there, or a player like C/G Joe Tippman, so maybe that bumps Campbell up the list because he looks like he could be too good to pass up.
  10. Hahaha yeah I certainly did and I’m the one who posted it. Saw it on the app but there was no way to share it. Apologies for that (I’m certainly no Yolo lol)
  11. https://www.buffalobills.com/news/bills-re-sign-g-ike-boettger-to-one-year-deal 1 year deal - good to see him coming back. **Edited to include correct link**
  12. I’m pretty high on Dorian as well. Probably a 4th rounder and right about where I would be comfortable taking him. Could slip into the 5th but I think he’s gone by then I’m a big fan of Jack Campbell and Drew Sanders too, but not sure I want to draft them as early as would be needed with the offensive needs. If they’re available in rounds 2/3 there’s gonna be some consideration
  13. https://www.nfl.com/combine/tracker/live-results/ This is the NFL.com combine tracker. It allows you to sort by position and by event to see how everyone scored. Also, you can now pay NFL+ to watch the combine… thank$ Goodell, you $ure are a $well guy. 🙄
  14. The best “pick” is likely to trade back a little bit so we can get a few extra selections. In a trade-back scenario, I’m looking at Steve Avila or John Michael-Schmitz in the early to mid 2nd round. Avila has experience at G and C, which is very much in the mold of what our staff likes. JMS is a beast and would be a great addition to the line - having him at G now to take over next year at C would be fine as I don’t think we bring Morse back once his contract ends. From there? Your guess is as good as mine. I think Rice is a day 2 pick personally but not sure he’s there at 59. I also don’t think he’s as valuable as either of the above options to be taken ahead of them. He *might* be at 59, the other two (barring a garbage combine) will definitely *not* be there at 59. If we are trading back I think it’s for one of these guys. I’m not sure how I feel about Tank Dell from Houston. He’s a day 2 guy I think who may also be an option at 59. I feel like he’s a guy who SHOULD be taken way earlier than some of his counterparts but his name isn’t coming across as many headlines. Lots of love for Hyatt and Rice lately while, to me, Dell is as good as they are. He’s a weapon for sure. I also like Josh Downs a lot but he’s 100% a slot guy and we have more than enough of them. Great player, bad fit. Voorhis would be a good G to add day 3. He was initially a 5th round projection, I doubt he makes it past the 4th. Could work himself into the late 3rd with an outstanding combine I think. Back to round 1… I think if someone like Zay Flowers falls you have to really consider him before taking calls to move back. Paris Johnson and Skoronski go here as well but I can’t imagine either of them not being at top-20 pick. Hyatt is interesting but there’s a lot of hype moving him up the boards and I’m not sure he’s worth pick 27 (don’t hate me, I know it’s a bad take)
  15. I figured a centralized place for the combine news would probably be a good idea as we start seeing player evaluations begin. Here is a breakdown of the Combine schedule for the remainder of this week: March 2 (3 p.m. to 8 p.m. ET): DL, LB March 3 (3 p.m. to 8 p.m. ET): DB, PK/ST March 4 (1 p.m. to 8 p.m. ET): QB, WR, TE March 5 (1 p.m. to 7 p.m. ET): OL, RB The combine takes place at its usual stomping grounds of Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis, and it should hopefully be an exciting week of coverage. Prepare for your early mock drafts to be blown to bits, and may all our picks be future HOF’ers.
  16. Maybe he was worried about being irresponsible with it? How many athletes have we seen over the years amass a fortune and mismanage their finances? Maybe he was determined to not let that be him. Not sure I would have gone that far, but I can understand the viewpoint
  17. I’m all for trading back and getting a few extra picks - provided we address IOL and WR within the first 3 rounds. I’m high on Campbell and think if he was there in the 2nd you can’t pass him up. I would be ok with any of the following playing out: 1st round/early 2nd: IOL/WR 2nd round: Campbell or possibly Simpson if they last that long. If not, IOL/WR 3rd round: Drew Sanders, Dorian Williams, or Ivan Pace. One of these guys should be there for us. If we got Campbell or Simpson in round 2, we go IOL/WR. 4th: IOL - probably someone like Voorhis for the IOL if he even lasts that long From here, depending on the trade back and/or whatever other picks we have, WR and S get addressed, and a late round flyer on a running back like KC did to see if we can find some gold.
  18. Media needs headlines until the combine. This is a Nothingburger.
  19. I’d love him back, and maybe the prospect of playing with JA would be appealing, but he didn’t seem interested in signing with us after his first run. Maybe it was the staff, or QB, or Buffalo itself, but I’d be willing to take him in at a team-friendly deal. If I remember he was very well-liked while here. Would be a nice fit if Beas decides to call it a career again. …that being said, WR in rounds 1-3 please.
  20. My guess is a trade back to the early 2nd, looking at someone alike Avila or Schmitz. Avila has played both G and C, and Schmitz fits the McDermott personality/character prototype. Both would be welcome additions to the line and would be day 1 starters. If Flowers somehow falls to 27 it’s hard to pass on him. There’s still good G/C depth in the day 2 and 3 picks, but WR gets scarce after round 2 in my opinion. That being said, if we keep Josh standing he’s gonna make stars out of whoever he throws to, so WR is a need but not as much as IOL
