  1. Although it seems weird, one thing we have learned again and again is Beane and co do everything for a very specific and calculated purpose, so shout out to Kumerow for being open to it
  2. You have to imagine the ruling is going to take place soon. NFL would likely want the ruling and any appeals to be taken care of prior to training camp
  3. For those that were consistently saying the women were just coming forward for a money grab, care to explain those mentioned in the article that came forward with their story, but did not file a suit nor give their name? Let me guess, they are just looking to hurt men and “manipulate” any way they can??
  4. Don't worry everyone! The Browns did "extensive" due diligence!!! Going to go out on a limb and assume the NYT piece really caught them off guard then
  5. I don't think it will be 6 games, but I also do not expect it to be 144 games either. Given the MLBs recent 2 year suspension of Trevor Bauer, it would be extremely difficult to only suspend him for 6 games and expect the public blow back not to be horrendous. As you have mentioned, the NFL is a corporation and cares about the bottom dollar. Having the public enraged, causing a loss of money and potential sponsors is also something they will consider. Being that he cannot be placed on the exemption list, I personally think it should be an indefinite suspension until all cases are either dismissed, settled, or court proceedings are complete. Once all cases are complete, the league can then choose to reinstate or extend his suspension based on the findings. This would allow the league to show they are taking the allegations seriously, but would also allow Watson the ability to hit the field ASAP if it is found that the cases are without basis and are dismissed.
  6. For those keeping track, looks like Kirk and his significant other are now on vacation in Mexico with Josh and Brittany. Darnold and Kyle Allen are also there. Obviously this could mean nothing.... but JA17 giving a recruiting pitch on the beach while sipping on some drinks can't be a bad thing!
  7. Good signing. Tough to find a better gunner out there. I would also be willing to bet his cap hit is nowhere near the 3.6MM. Guessing the 10.9MM maximum value also includes all of the not likely to be earned incentives
  8. Kirk looks to be hanging with JA17 in Cali. Take a look at Brittany Williams Instagram story and Kirk is present in the most recent posting 🤔
  9. Compensation would be required unless NO for some reason terminates his contract. Kinda like when Marshawn came back to the raiders but the Seahawks technically still possessed his contractual rights
  10. Dude took a look at the -$75MM in cap space, shrugged, then looked at Taysom Hill, frowned, then looked back at the -$75MM in cap, and said "Yep, F that noise, I am outta here"
  11. New protocol is 2 negative tests, 1 of which must be a PCR. So if he tests negative on a PCR on Friday, he can then take an at home rapid test 20 minutes later and if he tests negative he is good to go. If he is unvaccinated he is out the minimum of 5 days and would miss the game
  12. You mean the same Taysom Hill that has 171 rushing yards on the season? Listen, I get it, the Bills were abysmal against the colts running attack, but lets not kid ourselves into thinking Hill is in the same stratosphere as Jonathan Taylor. The Saints Oline is also extremely banged up compared to the Colts line. You can't factor in the Saints coming off a bad loss without also factoring in that the Bills are also coming off a bad loss. Allen has been more than capable this year. Yes, he hasn't necessarily been the guy we expected, but he also has not been some awful QB. I will give you that the lines leave much to be desired. The Bills could very well lose this game, but lets not also ignore everything that is going in the Bills favor right now. - Saints trotting out Trevor Siemian - Saints missing potentially both starting RBs and will likely be starting a guy just coming off IR himself - Saints are missing their TE, their starting DE, and likely at least one OT - Bills have a clean injury report - In the games where Buffalo has disappointed this year, each of the following weeks they have covered the spread The Bills have not been elite this year, they have shown flashes of it, but have also shown that when the wheels come loose, it can get ugly - just like several other top teams in the AFC. Take this all into consideration and it isn't difficult to see why the line is Bills -6.
  13. I don't think Kamara plays but would be surprised if Ingram ended up not playing
  14. Seeing Rumors start to trickle out on Twitter that Kamara, Ingram, Ramczyk, and Davenport did not practice today. LT Terron Armstead returned to practice - not sure if it was a LP or FP
  15. I would think the idea would be to slot Doyle in at RT and get Williams back to G. The question would be is Doyle at RT going to be worse than Ford at G? I would think it would have been worth a shot to slot in Doyle at RT and give him a TE to chip his man or keep the RB in and help him.
  16. The picks we got back for Teller at least went to very good use. The 5th rounder was included in the Diggs package and the 6th rounder turned into Tyler Bass.
  17. There have been a total of what, 3 or 4 trades? Its not like the entire league is making moves and the Bills are sitting on our hands. I agree, the window is now to make a move and go for it, but Beane has proven he is not going to put the team in a long term hell situation for a short term gain and he's not going to get taken advantage of.
  18. You do realize Wyatt Teller wasn't that good when we traded him, right? When we traded him he looked marginal at best, and could barely crack the starting lineup. Nothing indicated that he would turn into an all-pro. If we knew he would be an all-pro, do you really think we would trade him? The answer is no. You act like the 3 or 4 ST only players that we roster are taking the place of pro-bowl players, when that isn't the case at all. Come on man, I get you're frustrated that maybe they didn't make the moves you wanted them to make. But take a moment and look at it objectively. They money they are spending on these core ST guys was not going to give them the ability to sign any top tier guys. They were going to be guys that ended up playing teams anyway. So why not retain guys that you know excel at the position and provide quality depth?
  19. Yeah bro. Even if the impact is "minimal" its still more than the ZERO impact that a 3rd string player that has no chance of seeing the field has.
  20. For every Wyatt Teller example, I can give you 5 players that never developed like we had hoped. Should we roster guys like Ed Wang over a guy that we know can make an immediate impact in special teams? Guys rarely go from marginal starter/backup to all pro caliber players. However, having a gunner that can routinely knock down punts or halt the opposing teams return game is extremely valuable.
  21. Ok, so lets take the $ aspect out of it and look at purely roster numbers. 11 starters on offense 11 starters on defense So 22 total starters. Now, lets give each position a backup, we are at 44 players of 53. Add in kicker, LS, and Punter, 47. That leaves 6 players left on the 53. I'll even grant a 3rd qb. So 5 players left that are not starters or backups. What should those 5 players excel at in order to earn a roster spot? The easy and clear answer is special teams. Why roster 5 guys that are not going to see the field on O or D and have no value on teams?
