Our WR options are now KB, Zay, and Andre Holmes. Being that he was our speed guy and was somewhat productive last year, yes I think he is worth 3.5. This team is sorely lacking in the receiving core. No matter who we bring in, they are going to cost money and cut into the cap. I would rather spend on a guy that I know can be productive, rather than hope the draft gives us a solid option. Also, considering we might sell a ton of picks to move up, our WR options could be limited to a late round selection.

Can't imagine we didn't at least match this offer... or give him a better one. Deonte might have just wanted to go elsewhere.

If you check out his twitter, he has a tweet at Leveon Bell telling him to sign whenever he wants to, this tweet, then another tweet to Bell.... Seems to me that it is tied in with his feelings towards the Bell contract situation.

Here is my theory even though it is most likely extremely off base... ESPN has yet to name Gruden's replacement because they have been tipped off that BB is done after this year, and would be interested in jumping to the booth to stay in football. It would give ESPN more credibility and gives them a guy in the booth that would provide tremendous insight into the game.
