And it really is mostly Deion's fault: - pre-draft list of teams you won't let your son play for turning off everybody - if a team drafts him to be a starter, Deion will try to get the coach fired so he can be the coach - if a team drafts him to be a backup, Deion will try to get the starter benched or force a trade so his son can start Shedeur is a good QB who would otherwise already be off the board, but he's not a can't-miss franchise QB pick so he just isn't worth the circus. I don't think the terrible interview is playing into it all that much. The looming Deion circus is absolutely (imo, anyway) scaring teams off. Sanders has great potential but he isn't an obvious franchise QB pick so it's not worth it, at least not in the 1st rd.

When you pick at 30 there is no real strategy going in unless you're planning on mortgaging the farm to move up into the top 10. All you can do is see how the board falls and react appropriately. If your guy is there at ~20-25 then trade up, if nobody with a high grade is there then trade down, or just stand pat and take BPA.
