  1. The Bills heard the peoples' complaints about hard knocks being boring and decided to spice things up by losing 38-0 for the cameras.
  2. Chris Jones, gets him off the Chiefs and is all-world at a position of need.
  3. Beane's failing point as a GM is his unwillingness to go all-in for top talent. I imagine he feels burned by Von tearing his ACL but it was the right idea and he shouldn't be scared of swinging for the fences. If you can get Parsons in his prime you do it, even if it's expensive. If Beane had pulled the trigger and traded for Von mid-season instead of the Rams 13 seconds would never have happened and we would have won it all that year.
  4. Damar is the quintessential late round McBeane pick: smart, fits the system, and completely unathletic (for a football player) I'm fine with him on the team as a 3rd stringer/special teamer.
  5. It was a surprisingly useless puff piece, but a puff piece is a hell of a lot better than an hour long montage of players getting injured with the Benny Hill theme playing in the background. James Cook's name wasn't said a single time. It'll be interesting to see what they do next week for his hold-in.
  6. The Bills are a better team with James Cook on the field, and he is their 2nd best player on offense (not counting the line). He also plays fewer than 50% of the snaps, and is a 2-down back who doesn't pass block and has shaky hands, which is probably the easiest position to replace in all of football. Let's be clear, you cannot justify giving him $15m/yr, but as everyone knows RB have an extremely short shelf life in the NFL, and unless you're a future HOFer like Derrick Henry you will only get one big contract, followed by a few smaller 1-2 year deals if your body holds up (big if). So I'm not going to fault Cook for trying to maximize his earnings, especially when NFL GMs are merciless and will cut you at the earliest opportunity if they can save a buck. If Cook listens to the "you signed a contract honor it rah rah rah" crowd and then gets a season-ending injury while having nothing guaranteed past this year, his future earnings have just gone poof and any future contract would be for peanuts compared to what he could theoretically get now. Basically, it's all a big snafu and the only way out is to compromise on a $10-12m per/3 yrs with $20-25m guaranteed. If Cook truly is 100% unwillling to budge from $15m then it's on him, but if he's willing to negotiate and Beane balks it's a bad look for him when he otherwise gives out mid money contracts to JAGs like candy.
  7. While it's obviously terrible that our best receiver is going to miss time and potentially have a nagging injury, it'll be nice to see Coleman or Kincaid get reps at slot, which is where they should be anyway.
  8. Isn't Knox Josh's best friend on the team? His roster spot is ironclad.
  9. Allen has a howitzer for an arm but his deep ball accuracy has never been good. His strength is rocketing 20-30 yard passes into windows no one else can.
  10. Maddy Glab is always the one who gets deservedly lambasted, but OBL as a whole is borderline unlistenable. It's state-run media put out by the Politburo so it was never going to be particularly thought-provoking, but Brown and Tasker come off as smugly dismissive any time someone says anything negative. Terry understandably wouldn't want people he has on his payroll to say negative things about his franchise, but it makes it tough to get through. They should spend more time on japanese beetles.
  11. AJE is neither a hit nor a bust. He's a good depth piece who shouldn't be in a starting role, and is paid accordingly.
  12. When did Sal start writing for ESPN???
  13. Of all the people to have played in the NFL, he is probably one of them.
  14. "And with the first pick of the 2026 NFL Draft, the New Orleans Saints select Arch Manning, quarterback, Texas."
  15. Tyrod, because he plays so safe that he'll never lose (or win) you a game. I love Fitz but he has voodoo dolls of the starting QBs when he's the backup.
  16. The Bills easily have the worst WR corps in the league, but Josh drags them to 30 points every game regardless. The D collapsing in the playoffs every year is the real problem and that's why they (over)committed to it this year in the draft.
  17. I'm genuinely upset we didn't get Desmond Watson.
  18. I'd happily bring him back but I'm sure he can get more money (and targets) from another team. Don't overpay.
  19. A TE3? How does this help? Typical Beane brainfart after getting leapfrogged.
  20. If the Steelers don't draft him I think there is a legitimate chance he goes undrafted, unless Jerruh takes him with a 7th. And it really is mostly Deion's fault: - pre-draft list of teams you won't let your son play for turning off everybody - if a team drafts him to be a starter, Deion will try to get the coach fired so he can be the coach - if a team drafts him to be a backup, Deion will try to get the starter benched or force a trade so his son can start Shedeur is a good QB who would otherwise already be off the board, but he's not a can't-miss franchise QB pick so he just isn't worth the circus. I don't think the terrible interview is playing into it all that much. His dad was a blessing for him by getting him national attention and success but now he's dragging him down to the bottom of the ocean.
  21. Fat 1T, fast WR, kicker, punter, obligatory smart but unathletic safety.
  22. I expect either Dane or Tre to not make it out of camp.
