  1. I think Anderson just straight gave up. He was like, I don't need to take any more hits.
  2. Our Qbs might have thrown more Pick 6s this season than touchdowns.
  3. Throw it to Jones. He was wide open once again.
  4. No way you can tell that he is out. His foot is inbounds, if it isn't, its so barely out of bounds they'll never overturn it.
  5. The refs don't throw flags for the new helmet rule at all. Both Edmunds and then I think Milano should have been flagged on the play Edmunds got concussed on.
  6. *****, Jones was wide open on that play where Anderson dropped the snap!!
  7. His bad coaching and stupid decisions come from clock management issues and making bad decisions in terms of in-game situations. McCarthy should have told Montgomery to take a knee if he caught it in the end zone. Those three seconds were more valuable than the small percent chance he takes on to the house. Not using a timeout and letting the Rams bleed the clock down to 2:03 when they kicked their field is bad clock management. Use your final timeout to save as much time as possible. Rodgers can use his arm to stop the clock based on throws he makes. It's stuff like that he won't have to worry about as an O.C. It will just be calling plays. I guess we don't know how good of an OC he can truly be because he had Farve and Rodgers in GB. Brady and Bill needed each other. One wouldn't have succeeded without the other.
  8. New Orleans in 2004 was 15th, but the 2005 offense in San Fran was 32nd and considered the third worst offense ever tracked by Football Outsiders. I would contend that shouldn't matter. He has been a head coach for 13 seasons and called plays for most of those. I think he would be fine. Again, it isn't that the Packers have been bad on offense under him, he just hadn't made good calls as a head coach.
  9. Again, he'd make a great offensive coordinator. He just isn't a good head coach.
  10. Him and Ron Wolf, who they relieved as GM last year. The guy only built through the draft and refused to spend money in free agency. Guess what guys, it takes more than building through the draft. You sign quality free agents and then hit on draft picks. That's how you win in the NFL. Or, you do what the Rams did and trade late round picks for proven young talent. He isn't a bad O.C. He just makes stupid mistakes as a head coach. Bonehead clock management. If he would just be allowed to concentrate on the offense, he would be fine.
  11. He'd make a good O.C. for us next year. I don't see how he survives this season if he doesn't win a SB. Wasting another one of Aaron Rodgers prime years with bad coaching and stupid decisions.
  12. I just hope he isn't going to take the Green Bay approach. For years Green Bay just drafted players and never really signed free agents. You need to have a good balance between the two if you really want to build a competitive roster.
  13. I'll continue to say, Beane wants to build through the draft. He might make 1 or 2 high-priced free agent acquisitions this offseason, but I doubt anything beyond that. He wants to the cap space to resign his own guys that pan out. In the end, the free agency will be marked with a lot of short-term contracts, mostly 1-year contracts that might be a little bloated because an NFL team HAS to spend 90 percent of its cap space each other as part of the collective bargaining agreement. What I fear for McDermott is he is going to get fired just before this team gets good. He is going to do all the hard work of tearing down an aging roster, getting it young, and then being fired before someone else comes in and has success with his players.
  14. I think you would see a resurgence in him in Green Bay. Teams wouldn't be able to load the box against him. He could really tip things in Green Bays favor in the NFC North. They have two firsts, I'd trade a first for him if I felt it gave us a Super Bowl.
  15. A lot believe that team overachieved and Carr isn't nearly as good as people thought he was. Let's remember, he only had the one good season. He has been average to below average since then.
  16. Why? If Gruden doesn't think Carr is the long-term starter and someone like Jacksonville is willing to give you like two first round picks for him, why not? That'd give you four first round picks this year and three next year. You could completely rebuild a team with that many first round picks in two years.
  17. So what your saying is, things could be worse than McBeane?
  18. Williams called heads at the two games (Minny and GB) I went to this year. We aren't winning coin tosses because we keep calling heads!! Tails never fails, duh!!
  19. In his prime, Eli Manning was good with great games sprinkled in. Eli is nothing close to great now.
  20. I don’t get why people think we are going to spend all this money I free agency. Beane has made it very clear that he wants to build this team through the draft using money to sign own players long term. I have said in the past, this team is going to be filled with short term contracts, a lot of one-year contracts from FA because you are required to spend at least 90% of your cap each year. They’ll have a couple high priced free agents, but Beane isn’t going to handicap himself like Whaley did in terms of contracts, at least from free agents.
  21. The dude is in the Hall of Fame. I think its safe to say he is great. Those who don't are idiots. Or, the NFL HOF are idiots. Also, Simms got hurt the year they beat the Bills. So, yeah he won with a back-up, but Simms was a part of the team.
  22. Bill Parcels had Phil Simms who is in the HOF.
  23. You play the hot hand. If Anderson somehow magically goes 3-1 over the next four games, he gets to keep the starting role. He goes 1-3, you put Allen back in as soon as possible.
  24. Bro, commas. Learn to use them.
