Yes we did, it ended up in Cleveland along with the other pick that we used to draft Watkins. Literally two first rounders were traded for Watkins pick not sure how you can spin that. Even if you don't agree with that you can say a statement that Dareus cost us a first round pick and it would still be true. Watkins cost us two first rounders. Again Watkins did only cost an additional first round pick than we would have used to draft someone but he does have a value of two first rounders because that is what he cost and he was traded for to us for two first round picks. You can argue how that's not the case but you would be wrong

Let me see if this makes sense... we traded our pick in '14 and '15 for the right to the #4 pick in #14 which is what we used to select Sammy Watkins. As all of this is true we traded two first round picks and in return we only got Sammy Watkins. While we technically didn't have a net loss of two draft picks Sammy was worth two first round picks as opposed to one. Might be semantics but he did cost us two first round picks as opposed to staying put and picking our normal pick and that player costing only one pick. You are correct that the net loss is one first round pick but two things are true we traded two first round picks and that is what Sammy cost the Bills.

Mike Williams getting behind
Billzgobowlin replied to CircleTheWagons99's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Has there ever been a Mike Williams that has excelled in the NFL? Man that is a bad list right now. I hope for his sake he turns around the trend. We have: OT from Texas WR from USC WR from Syracuse and now WR from Clemson -
HOF player with worst teams in NFL history
Billzgobowlin replied to Dragonborn10's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Steve Largent and Eric Dickerson come to mind Barry played for some very good teams mainly because he was such a great running back but Simpson would be one that played for a losing team always. -
Chargers Release Orlando Franklin
Billzgobowlin replied to thebandit27's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
They do and they gain 4 million more after June1 because of Aaron Williams being released but I think they are trying to maintain youth. I could be wrong but I thought that included the draft picks. Also I would look for players like Kouandjio and Henderson getting the boot. That would be almost 3 million. -
It could really go one of two ways. We either see the talent displayed brightly and the offense and defense click as opposed to one side or the other the past 15 or so years and we make the playoffs or we lose 10+ and start dropping bad contracts and rebuild. Optimistically I say we are the first team and not the second but I am ready for the rebuild. I think the only way Kyle stays this year is if he is promised the winning he hasn't experienced yet.

I would have really liked for the Bills to draft him but for his career path this might have been best for him to be drafting to a place other than Buffalo. Would suck for us if he developed into a star.

Bills Sign LB Carl Bradford
Billzgobowlin replied to 26CornerBlitz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I think it just shows we are moving on and doing what needs to be done. They need a GM On bringing in depth for training camp while we are making sure we hire the right GM? He's not exactly a guy we invested a lot of money in. -
It has worked in New England and I am in no one comparing Belichick with McDermott. I really think that it depends the situation as to whether it works one way or another.

I think there is more thought put into this process than most people thought initially. If this was Beane's job he would have gotten it after Trey Brown's interview. Pegula's MO means we should see at least one or two more interviews (usually 5 to 6 interviewed) and while there probably is an early favorite it won't be handed to Beane. Veach might not want the job but he probably would be one if he did and Wolf might be in the same boat. Not that the positions are mutually exclusive but was Whaley ever able to hire and fire his own coach?

Mychal Kendricks trade target?
Billzgobowlin replied to Canuck204's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I've heard that McDerm uses a lot of two LB sets so it would be Ragland and Alexander with Preston backing up. Not sure either would agree to that trade. -
I'm not convinced. We don't even know if Beane and McDerm like or talk to each other. You might be able to assume that by us interviewing him but who knows.

SB MVP Doug Williams candidate for Redskins GM job

That's what they said but guess they want to get fans in the seats with this type of PR move -
What CBs make the 53 man roster?
Billzgobowlin replied to RobRyanFan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I think Seymour would have been starting had they not drafted White. I see good coverage skills and McDermott I think will like it too. -
If the Sabres search is in any indication we should see at least 2-4 more. Veach is probably one, someone from Pitt and maybe someone from GB.

I don't condone the idea of cutting McCoy until he is not a top 5 RB. That day is not today.

Anyone Remember Colt Lyerla?

Don't convicts usually sign with the Pats? -
I personally thought it should be the best candidate for the job. Most teams that do the token don't give the minority interviewed a chance because they already have made up their mind.

Jets cut safety Marcus Gilchrist
Billzgobowlin replied to Starr Almighty's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I was impressed with him but I think he is a decent player caught on an awful team. He is young and probably worth a flyer. I am guessing with Todd Bowles the Jets won't do any better this year and will continue their regression. -
Gary Barnidge visited the Bills May 3rd
Billzgobowlin replied to CNY315's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
He is quite the wild card. He has played Tight End in High School and a little in college so it isn't completely foreign to him. I bet they will have packages for him this year but man if he catches the ball he will bulldoze the defensive players. He would have been drafted in the first round as a tight end if the Hokies didn't need him as a QB so bad. -
Polian - McD, "he's Marv-like".
Billzgobowlin replied to ChanOverChin's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I don't get that same feeling. The hugs for holly bit they showed on NFL network didn't have that Marrone vibe. -
Aaron Williams visiting the Jags today
Billzgobowlin replied to CNY315's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I hate that he is looking for other teams because he was one of my favorites but I hate even more that he is trying to keep playing after the abuse his body has taken.
