Bills D has quit on the fans
Billzgobowlin replied to Norwood for Wall of Fame's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Sustained offense drives every once in a while wouldn't hurt but these LBs are not starters. Consider McDerm's last job he had Davis and Kuechly and now he has Humber and Preston. -
McDerm said what he had to. Every coach would say that right after the game if they had any sense. What they actually do might not change but he is best evaluating rather than opening the door right now. Emotional decisions are bad. Part of the decision has to be what is in the best interest for Peterman. Also what if they do go with Peterman in LA, why give the Chargers any more time to prepare for Peterman? They might go with him in the long run but 5th round QBs don't always become starters.

Don’t use “ Garbage time” excuse!
Billzgobowlin replied to Buffalo Boy's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Garbage time wasn't the main issue because we weren't doing anything against any type of defense that game but the issue with thinking Peterman was successful is the Saints prepared for Taylor, a running QB(albeit one that doesn't run). Taylor doesn't see openings in coverage and throw in anticipation. Peterman was doing it. Taylor is good at making things happen when he can scramble but doesn't see the field real well. The Saints game plan would have been completely different on defense had Peterman been in there. We can't run because throwing is not a real threat. He seems to get thrown off by zones and checks down to short passes in the middle which makes it worse when we run on first and second into a stacked box and said third down is 5 yards too short. -
Tyrod was very effective last year, he just seems to have one route he follows this year and ditches to RB if not happy with it. Peterman seems to scan the field more. Benjamin doesn't seem to be here for Taylor and I could feel there being a mutiny if they continue to let Taylor struggle when the team looks like it could be much better. Let's not kid ourselves though, this game against the Saints was never going to be a win. These Saints will win the super bowl if they keep playing like this, their defense has always been their achilles heel and it looks very solid this year.

Anyone watch tyrods post game?
Billzgobowlin replied to Steptide's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I'm sure Tyrod would have gotten something going way before the 34 point lead if he could have but I am also sure the Saints started playing off way before that point. Tyrod needs to be quicker in decision making. I know if teams game plan for Peterman it will be harder sledding but I kind of think 3 points wouldn't be all we would score. I think it is telling they kept starting receivers in with Peterman in there though. -

I'm thinking he will get replaced next year but honestly the line play was the worst part about the last two games. Get him protection and he can be affective. -

True that was sad but don't look too hard at the rest of the box score, you might be just as disappointed. -

I know Tyrod is not elite but this game was more than Tyrod's fault. I don't see Tyrod being here next year but please give him a break -
Lions waive OT Greg Robinson

Not sure if he would be good but not sure we are the team to take that chance -
Players taking a liking to Benjamin

This is a much different offense.... Tyrod won't be the QB next year unless they go deep in the playoffs imo. This trade was primarily for next year. -
Which teams should we root for !!

San Diego has been much better lately and the Jags have been so inconsistent. -
THE ROCKPILE REVIEW - Good Gets Bad, Bad Gets Good
Billzgobowlin replied to Shaw66's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I agree and I think why "the process" has been so important is because McDerm has known the talent is not fully in house. I am curious what becomes of Dawkins and Conor McDermott, are they the future Bills tackles. McDermott has been untouchable with cuts yet he doesn't play any games or is even dressed. I also tend to believe most of the LBs on our roster might not make it to next year. I don't see Brown staying as our MLB, in fact the surprise first round pick I could even see being the replacement. -
THE ROCKPILE REVIEW - Good Gets Bad, Bad Gets Good
Billzgobowlin replied to Shaw66's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I think you really have to chalk this game up to anamoly. Nothing looked like it has all season, penalties, tackling, turnover battle. Now with the weather getting colder let's see if the Bills understand how to use it to their advantage. -
Howzabout dion Dawkins at RT and Groy at RG?
Billzgobowlin replied to tbonehawaii's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I would like to see Cordy, Incog, Wood, Dawkins, Henderson. But we will never see Dawkins at Guard because they think he is the future LT as early as next year. -
Let's just go down each position (Free Agents would work too) QB-I think a long term needs to be addressed, is it Peterman? than a backup needs to be found RB-We need at least a bruiser and McCoy will wear down soon, maybe next year or after WR-Don't mess with this group unless a burner is available in the fourth TE-I think we have decent depth here with O'Leary,Clay and Thomas OG- two Guards need to be replaced with a backup C-we are good with Wood and Groy but I could see an upgrade here too T- I think we have McDermott grooming for the right side and Dawkins for the left potentially so I think that is good S- need backups but really enjoy watching Poyer and Hyde. My favorite position on the team CB-One more starter, depth good DT-I think all set DE-Good with Alexander rotating LB- at least two starters, with Lorax moving to DE P,K- all set I see high priority should be Guard, LB and CB. I could also see RB being a high priority. This fits the run and stop the run philosophy.

Please don't ever question lack of national attention
Billzgobowlin replied to T-Bomb's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
This is one game, let the Saints game at home play out before making judgements. Patriots were supposed to fall apart after the Chiefs game and what happened. The Bills have not lost two straight this year. This next week will determine what the true identity of this team is. -
It was absolutely an unnecessary flag. This was the typical ref got his feelings hurt. Ref messed up a critical spot and got called out on it. He didn't touch the ref and wasn't out of control. Stupid flag Not so sure about that. I think McDerm will deal with it but didn't seem to be warranted.

Brady might not have won the game but believe the Jets gameplan would have been different. Brady and McCoy on the field would have produced more than 21 points (of which 14 were garbage time). I have a feeling if Brady were on our team this might have been the first loss though. The Bills got lost in the big lights and kept turning the ball over, the Jets rose to the ocassion

Alexander isn't rushing the edge anymore. Maybe next year when we get depth at LB he can

Remember through all this toil of a 5-3 season that we weren't supposed to win this year. Some good came out of last night in that Zay has started catching the ball and we have been getting key contributions from White, Milano and Dawkins and this is good for next year. Some are convinced Taylor is our long term QB and that is not the case. Is it Peterman or are we going to draft someone next year? Who knows. If we end up 9-7 and miss the playoffs would it be a lost season? This team has a ton of draft picks next year and I almost guarantee their first four picks that they make will be starters (2 1sts and 2 2nds). Games like these happen and honestly I think this type of game was long coming (unlike Bengals and Panthers games with the lack of talent to compete) where they are sloppy but honestly this game is the first game that had an "old Bills" style feel to it. Be excited about the future and what we can see coming.

Difference is Hughes cares too much, Dareus doesn't.

He netted a 6th rounder after us trying to trade him for months, that should say something about what people think about him. If anyone in this relationship should be hurt it should be the Bills and all they had to deal with from him even after they forked out big money. Love his game, don't like him as a person
