  1. Cody Ford leaving Sooners early for NFL draft Facebook Twitter Facebook Messenger Email Jan 1, 2019 Jake TrotterESPN Staff Writer Oklahoma junior offensive lineman Cody Ford announced Tuesday that he will enter the NFL draft early. Ford was a first-team All-Big 12 selection for the Sooners, who won the Joe Moore Award for having the best offensive line in college football. ESPN's Mel Kiper Jr. ranks Ford as the No. 3 available guard in the upcoming draft. ------------------------------------------------------------------- Ford was a guard through high school and college until injuries required he switch. Many draft analysts considered him a natural guard and noted that he would need improved footwork to deal with speed on the outside as a tackle. He is young, if he can be a good guard now then that would be great. There is no reason he couldn't play tackle down the road as well. Bottom line is that the Bills absolutely need to get better on the oline as it was improved but still a weakness.
  2. That interview with the booth official was an embarrassment and the refs should have been wearing clown shoes running off the field. Another puzzling thing was the guy who got ejected for throwing a punch was yuckin it up on the sideline and signing autographs. Don't you have to go to the locker room when ejected?
  3. That was bizarre, as if no one there knew that the clock stops after 4th down. They didn't even look at it and none of the players seemed to notice or care either. Weird.
  4. Just caught the last few minutes. Ridiculously bad look, why should anyone take their game seriously when they don't. Terrible, what a joke. How could all the refs miss that? I knew immediately there was time left on the clock.
  5. Perriman and Latimer are both 6'2" 215, McKenzie is 5'8" 173. They are not similar types of receivers. Latimer is as fast as McKenzie despite being 40 lbs heavier and Perriman is significantly faster than both. I don't think a free agent would be replacing McKenzie necessarily either. The Bills have other receivers who would be let go before him.
  6. 6'2" 215 lb 4.24 40 Breshad Perriman is my top choice. Big, strong, ridiculously fast, and just starting to show why he was a 1st round draft choice. I think his price range will be worth the risk. Having him opposite Brown will spread the defense and open up more of the field. Here are highlights from a couple of his last games when Evans and Godwin were hurt and he became #1 option. https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&source=web&rct=j&url=http://www.nfl.com/videos/player-highlights/0ap3000001092673/Every-catch-from-Breshad-Perriman-s-134-yard-game-Week-17&ved=2ahUKEwiV_5qo6ofoAhUmCjQIHS8FARcQwqsBMAN6BAgGEA0&usg=AOvVaw0Y2H9Ifx_OjsmZ-b2wlBNM
  7. He has great athleticism but if he drops 20% of his targets again that's a deal breaker. That is just wayyyy too many drops. At this point I don't think the Bills have a single tight end they can fully count on. Hopefully Knox can become that guy but he hasn't shown any consistency yet. This is one of the positions I hope they target in free agency.
  8. Dunkirk Don revealing top secret information is what required the nuclear option.
  9. Trader Joe's is an awesome chain. Great products at great prices, we shop there all the time. RIP Trader Joe, your legacy lives on. Good work!
  10. August 20, 1969 was the last time the Beatles all recorded together. They were working on the over-dubs for 'I Want You'. Abbey Road was the last album The Beatles recorded together.
  11. Abbey Road was the first album I ever bought. I was only 8 when it came out and saved money helping one of my older brother's with his Courier-Express paper route. My oldest brother was 18 and took me to get it. I think it was $4. I only had a couple bucks so he paid the rest. I still have that copy which is pretty beat up but have acquired a nice near mint copy for playing. A great album that stands the test of time imo.
  12. https://www.pff.com/nfl/players/aj-bouye/8110 What are you talking about? Bouye was not highly rated on pff or anywhere else this past season, he was not good at all. Over 65% completion rate when targeted and over 9.5 yards per target is terrible.
  13. Especially expensive if he doesn't play a lot better than he has the last two seasons.
  14. Bouye's last very good season was 2017, his last two seasons were not so good. Denver is banking on him regaining his 2017 form which seems like a risky proposition to me.
  15. Poyer is already under contract for next season. I doubt giving him an extension is a high priority for the Bills, he will be 30 before the first year of any extension given.
  16. I say stay away. I was never sold on him to begin with but this is a definite deal breaker for me in the first 3 rounds.
  17. He did play 17 out of 17 games this year and only missed 2 the year before I believe. I have read two different articles saying he had one of the best seasons of his career. I think he would be a great addition for a couple years while they groom a draft pick to replace him. Especially if Conklin is not an option.
  18. Akers has looked really impressive, seems to have all facets.
  19. Williams was not good this year at all, I sincerely hope he is not a Bills target. Peat is versatile but his play was also terrible this past season. The Bills need dependable talent and they have the money to get it. If Conklin is too much or just not an option, Bulaga was excellent this past year and at 30 should have a couple of good seasons left. He will definitely cost less than Conklin but is just as good of a player if not better. Draft another tackle and bring in Bulaga if possible. I am hoping Ford moves to guard as that is his natural position imo.
  20. Akers and Helaire both look really smooth in the footwork and pass catching.
  21. The Chili Peppers have never played SB Santana also comes to mind. Jerry said no to that in his will.?
  22. Conklin is consistently good. Only 25 yrs old, he could secure the right tackle spot for years to come. I have always thought that Ford would be a better guard than tackle and I think he could excel at the position. The Bills badly need a tackle and a guard and this move could solve both positions.
  23. Brown was a Pro Bowler 9 times, 4 times All Pro, 3 times Walter Payton Man of the Year, college Hall of Famer, and incredibly generous person deeply involved in community service who spent 9 years as a Buffalo Bill. A worthy and perfect candidate for the Wall imo.
  24. Pegula can do whatever he wants, he doesn't need any permission from anywhere to take OJ off the Wall of Fame. That's how it works. The fact that OJ is still up there is because Pegula hasn't decided to take him down, not because of any court decisions.
