  1. Until there is widespread testing results the numbers don't mean that much because they aren't an accurate representation of its spread. For example Michigan supposedly had 0 cases a few days ago but had only tested less than 10 people at that point. They finally got their testing up and running and the cases are now showing up. Unfortunately the virus has been spreading while the numbers appeared low.
  2. Spain was not very good and bringing him back is a disappointment to me. I thought the line was a weakness last year and Spain and Ford were the weakest links. Ford was just a rookie and isn't going anywhere but I thought Spain's position could easily be upgraded. I don't really understand all the excitement for bringing back Kroft or acquiring Norman either. I read one poster saying he thought there was a decent chance Norman doesn't even make the team but it's a great contract because he only gets 3 million dollars if he doesn't. Does that make sense? A guy you think has a decent chance not to make the team is guaranteed 3 mil and that's a great thing? Kroft had 6 catches for 6.5 million dollars, 70 catches combined over the last 5 seasons, and some people are excited to give him another shot for only 4 million. Not trying to be a downer, but I'm not excited about these moves so far. I sincerely hope I'm proven wrong but the offensive line and tight end positions were weak spots last year and just sticking with the same guys and expecting much better results is not real encouraging imo. I have seen the oline ranked around 20th last year on a couple different sites. It was obvious to me they were not good enough to go deep into the playoffs.
  3. They weren't that good last year, but they're good this year with the same line? I'm confused, do people think the offensive line was good last year and are excited to keep it the same?
  4. It means they are stuck with him for another year but he only gets 4 million dollars to sit injured on the bench instead of 6. If you cut him you get a 1.6 mil dead cap hit but then you have to find a replacement who can actually play tight end. Evidently that's hard to do.?
  5. When I read they 'restructured' him I was hoping they gave him bionic limbs.
  6. David Brody is a chief political analyst for Pat Robertson’s Christian Broadcasting network. He, like many evangelicals, is also one of President Trump’s most vocal supporters. But in a tweet this Thursday, he took the unusual step of taking Trump to task over his claims that “anybody” that needs a test for coronavirus will get a test on demand. Brody tweeted video showing Trump’s comments while touring the Atlanta CDC headquarters, where he can be seen saying, “They’re there, they have the tests". “Anybody that needs a test gets a test,” Trump says in the video. Brody tweets: On Friday March 6th, @realDonaldTrump said, ‘Anybody that needs a test gets a test.’ That is 100% FALSE. Full stop,” Brody wrote. “He was wrong then and it’s wrong today too. Many American citizens want a #coronavirus test right now but can’t get access to one. This is a MAJOR FAILURE.” In a subsequent tweet, Brody slammed Trump’s leadership skills. “Being a great leader has many attributes,” he wrote. “Confusing people is not among them. @realDonaldTrump provided false information about testing…multiple times! Invoking hyperbole in certain situations may be permissible but false statements about the #Coronavirus is sloppy & dangerous.” Even some Trump supporters recognize that lying and making things up is not a viable strategy when dealing with real problems. I'm not into party politics and prefer to think for myself but watching Trump and Pence is like watching a clown show.
  7. They are the continuation of Jimmy's Texas Red Hots on Abbott near Mercy hospital, a legendary South Buffalo hot dog spot during my childhood (he started it in the early 50s I think). The current owner of Abbott Texas Hots' uncle Gus worked for Jimmy and bought his secret sauce recipe when he started Abbott. Jimmy's closed when Mercy bought the building and expanded. Jimmy's was a block from Caz park, Caz was a huge party spot back in those days (literally hundreds of us on weekends) and Jimmy's was packed.
  8. The position group ratings are from this past season's performance but don't include the players who became free agents.
  9. I got lumped in with Mike Clay too. I don't even know these guys.? Poor Mike Clay didn't even mention Star once either, he just posted a chart that said the Bills interior dline was a weakness.
  10. I'm not sure if I ever said he sucks (I may have). I definitely called his contract ridiculous when they signed him and said he was overpaid for his worth. Saying he sucks might be a bit harsh, but I do think he is not very good. Yes, what a shock that his coach and teammate had his back, usually when a highly paid free agent acquisition is a disappointment they just tell the whole world how they truly feel.
  11. Glasgow is a huge upgrade over Spain who is a weakness.
  12. Noticed that according to this the Bills interior def line is ranked 29th in the league and is their weakest unit (but Star was actually good taking up space, he's not expected to make any plays in this defense?) Wr is the next weakest, followed by oline and rb. (Gore was not very good). Sounds about right.
  13. Definitely a starter, especially on this line.
  14. Yes. He is a good player. Over 800 snaps last season, 0 sacks allowed.
  15. At only 27 and a former 1st round pick I like KJs upside and the fact he has already shown his abilities in the scheme. If he can be retained for a middling 6-8 mil contract with a possible out after 2 yrs, I think it is a good move. I do trust McD to field a good secondary.
  16. The striking polarity in those stats is what struck me the most, that and Johnson's stats were incredibly good. If the stats are not comparable because of the different scheme and talent level of each defense, let's compare each player to their teammates. Norman's stats were the worst on his team, which was hard to do on that team. Johnson's were second best on the Bills behind Tre, whose numbers were ridiculously good. Johnson is a 27 year old first round pick coming off a good year in the Bills defense. Norman is 32 coming off the worst year of his career and is an unknown in the Bills defense, locker room, etc.
  17. What is Kevin Johnson expected to get in free agency? I thought he was pretty good this year and wonder if they will try to bring him back. He is only 27 and was actually one of the better cbs in the league last year. Norman was literally one of the very worst. Is Johnson gonna get paid more than 8 mil a year? Their stats when targeted last season: Johnson: 79.8 passer rtg, 6.8 yds/tgt, 0 td allowed, 44 targets, 59% comp. 0 int. Norman: 129.0 passer rtg, 9.7 yds/tgt, 7 td allowed, 46 targets, 67% comp. 1 int. Johnson knows the defense and has already shown he can do his job well. I am hoping the Norman signing is more of an insurance and not the main plan.
  18. Which is exactly why it is not unreasonable to question them on this signing. Josh Norman was one of the worst cbs in the entire league last year and will turn 33 this season. Expecting everyone to just get behind this move without question is just blind loyalty, especially when you admit that these guys make mistakes. I myself am skeptical but will be cautiously optimistic as it unfolds.
  19. What good would that do him? He is still under contract and not getting younger. If anything I would think he would play out his final year trying to prove them wrong and then leave in free agency.
  20. I dont think it is a high priority at the moment. He is under contract for this year already and will be 30 before his next contract. See how he performs this year and go from there.
  21. He will be turning 34 in the season after next and will have made over 70 million dollars. I'm sure he will be really motivated to land another big contract(sarcasm font). According to some reports he is overweight, slow and sluggish. Let's see if he can pass the physical, make it through training camp and still play football at a decent level before thinking he will be shooting for another contract at 34. Enough with the McBeane know him best because they coached him. They also coached Benjamin, Vontae, etc. The last time they had Norman was five seasons ago when he was 27/28. Like I said, hopefully not much in guarantees in case he's toast. Hopefully the change of scenery and the reunion with McBeane recharges him and it works out great.
  22. Are details out? How much is guaranteed? He has been absolutely terrible the last couple years. I know about the different systems and all, but hoping he makes a big comeback at 32 requires some wishful thinking. I hope the guarantee is small in case they find out he's toast.
  23. Former Bills draftee Jonathan Williams is a free agent after playing really well at Indy this past season filling in for Mack. Is he the guy who showed up at camp way overweight and blamed it on his pregnant girlfriend?
