  1. Did I ever say that I'm stating facts when it comes to how Kyle feels? When he first explained why he came back he bought into what McDermott said to him which was we're trying to win now. We're going for it all this year. He was also told that this is not a rebuild and Kyle stated he didn't want to be a part of a rebuild. He clearly bought in to what McDermott was preaching. I don't know how many interviews he's done lately but I really haven't noticed any. As far as blatantly not trying to win, if you don't see that then you're obviously a blind die hard. Good luck this season and I hope for the best also.
  2. I'm starting to wonder if Kyle is regretting coming back for another season. It's clear as day the direction this team is headed in. My only question is why even bother Kyle about coming back? Putting him through a new regime, a lot of new faces, switching back to another scheme, and the rigorous off season training he have to put his body through, all just to get close to the start of the season and basically start a rebuild. The Bills are blatantly showing that they don't intend to try to win this season. Many times they've even expressed that they're trying to build for the future. Well Kyle is over 30 please tell me where do he fit in the future? Normally by now Kyle do a few interviews. In fact he's one of the main guys new coaches get acquainted with. Not saying I have any thing to stand on but I'm wondering if Kyle is starting to feel like he was mislead. The entire team just don't seem as though they're that excited for the season. Hope I'm wrong but I just don't like the way things seem. Nothing is upbeat.
  3. No direction, no sense of urgency and to be honest it's starting to appear as though they're just doing what they want and taking advantage of the Pegula's lack of knowledge when it comes to how to run a team. The average owner would've opposed some of these moves Beane and McDermott are pulling. The videos actually puzzles me. What do they expect people to get hyped about? An old player was signed, retired and now wants to come back, but to another team. We have talented players on wholesale and we have some of the worst luck when it comes to selecting a quality front office.smh
  4. Watkins also don't play defense. Watkins also can't force a qb to throw to him when he's wide open. Granted he didn't play much last year but when he do play he have to beg for the ball like a bum
  5. You should already know the response. We're trying to build a culture. We're not trying to build talent we trying to build a culture.
  6. We should all be used to that phrase by now. The Bills are not trying to build a competitive team they're trying to build continuity. We been chasing that word for how many years now. It's even starting to look like the Browns are about to surpass the Bills. But let's just wait and see as usual as if we haven't been down this road before. The worst part is there really isn't anything that can be done about this mess. All we can do is support them or don't. However enough will that they will be ok as far as ticket sales.
  7. Well at least we get to tell everybody to relax and wait and see. Or we get to say it's only the first year or the first game, or they need more time. Continuity is also a huge word around here. If they had a continuity bowl we would definitely be runners up
  8. I got one better. Just don't respond to them.
  9. I said I could be wrong. To me it do seem as though the last few hires just went haywire at times. Rex bringing his brother in, Doug and some of the moves he's made and now Beane just come in cleaning house and getting rid of good talent.
  10. I'm curious to know if the NFL or any other league provide some type of assistance to new owners who's not that knowledgeable to how the leagues work? I'm asking because I'm starting to wonder if the Pegula's are being taken for a ride. I may be wrong but it's starting to appear that way. I remember the one article when it was stated that Whaley went rogue and that's why he just releases fan favorite Fred Jackson. Then Rex comes along and flat out lied and said that he would keep the defense the same and possibly add on to it. Now enters Brandon Bean and he seems to be hell bent on building a team as cheap as possible aka through the draft. It's like he knows the Pegula's isn't that knowledgeable so it's ok for him to try his experiment without repercussions. I believe he pulls the wool over their eyes by informing them but he know he won't get much resistance because they're the ones that's inexperienced in this game. Again I could be wrong but I just feel like they're being taking advantage of. Building through the draft to me mean draft as good as you can and when those picks rookie contract is up, let them go and do it all over again. And in the process you save a ton of money and hope to look good doing it. That philosophy work when you have a franchise qb that can take you to the promise land no matter what. Hope I'm wrong though.
  11. Keep him out the rest of the season to protect his job, his receivers, and the season
  12. Preseason performance is a huge concern. Do you really think this team won't be that far off from what Preseason is displaying? Tyrod don't get the ball out in time, the blocking is atrocious, the run game is going backwards, and our receivers are not getting separation all basic stuff and you don't think there's cause for concern because it's Preseason? It's hard to even know what the offensive line will look like.
  13. But we already know what Tyrod can't do. Peterman will either let the Bills know they need select a qb in the first round or he will let them know they can use them picks to address other areas. Either way going with Tyrod it says get a starting quality qb asap. So it would be wise to go with Peterman. This regime came in lacking confidence in Taylor. And Peterman do look better then Tyrod by a long shot
  14. I'm on the side that says Tyrod don't or didn't look for Sammy enough for him to be his #1 target and that overstated second half of the season is a fluke.
  15. Another thread counter. This board is really a huge part of a lot of your lives.
  16. Word. Thaaaaank you. This is a message board not Simon says. It's like certain posters really feel that your opinion have to be the same as theirs and if not you have to face an onslaught of insults. When I post I use my own phone or laptop never used any of theirs. So what's the problem????
  17. OK let's dispell this myth about Sammy and Tyrod's second half of the season. Remember the KC Game? Sammy had 140+yds in the first half. The second half didn't even get one look. The Houston game Sammy had 2 catches for over 100yds. The only game that Tyrod really hooked up with Sammy on a consistent basis is the last game against the Jets. Other then that their chemistry was over stated by the yds Sammy was getting off of a few catches. And that's why his average was so high. But let's highlight the fact that it took 8 games for Tyrod to realize he had a great receiver at his disposal. Don't let that so called second half of the season fool you. The hype was basically off of Sammy ability. Tyrod still didn't target him like he was a #1 receiver. Sammy just made the best of the opportunities he did get, which was very few for a guy with his talent. Including that second half. Look it up I dare you
  18. Uhhhhh oh the thread counters are coming in 5,4,3,2,
  19. OK Matthews is no Watkins and Gaines is no Darby. Just because they're cheaper options or could be cheaper options don't make Beane smart. Also do you think that Matthews will continue that production playing with Taylor? Remember he's a slot receiver, he's not a burner, he's another receiver that need tight passes thrown to him, and balls have to get to him the moment he makes his breaks. All things that Tyrod just isn't good at at all. So how much do you really expect from Matthews playing with Tyrod. I didn't expect much from Sammy this season either and I been stated that but I think the Bills should've given him the opportunity to play with a real QB and go from there. I just wanted I see him stay healthy this season. Also it's much easier throwing to Watkins compared to Matthews. That would've helped Tyrod a little. In that Philly game a lot showed. Tyrod need receivers that get wide open. If not things don't go to well for him. Right now the Bills don't have those types of recievers. They did but draft picks was more beneficial to a team that's claiming they're trying to win now.
  20. That's just the same for any receiver. You don't catch what's not thrown to you. Or what's thrown at your feet, or 10 to 20yds over your head. And Manuel? Really? Manuel would throw a rock at the ground and miss. OBJ is starting his career with a future hall of fame super bowl winning qb. Sammy was playing with Qb's that probably wouldn't even make a practice squad.
  21. For one if OBJ were here him and Tyrod probably would hate each other by now. Remember on passing plays Tyrod don't see most of the field, won't throw the ball unless you're wide open, and can't make all of the throws a normal qb can throw. OBJ would lose his mind here. He's a me first player and playing with Tyrod would not fit his me first attitude. So no OBJ would not excel here with Tyrod. Sammy handled playing here pretty well.
  22. Spot on. That's why I keep saying giving up definite talent just to depend on the draft make absolutely no sense at all. High picks don't always guarantee success. Not only that the Bills had ammo to grab a qb in the first round before they even made the recent trades. All they gained was a second round and a third round pick for another slot receiver and a so so cb. This was just a new hot head GM wanting to make a bold statement and have everybody taking. This trade really didn't do the Bills any good. Even if you do luck up and get the qb you want, from the gate you're handicapping him because who is he gonna throw to, who's going to protect him? The o-line has plenty of issues that needs to be addressed. The receiving core is a bunch of slot receivers who can only create mis matches against lb's. Then the new excuse will be let him learn he's a rookie, then it will be he need protection, then it will be he need weapons. Before you know it that's when some will finally realize this is the same ol Bills.
