  1. Probably another good example of misreading a post right here... moving on... "I'm not a whiner you can't call me whiny you're and I said it no givezies back you winy baby" okay brah, I hope you have the ability to enjoy your Fall, one way or another
  2. We kind of agree here... but I wouldn't go so far as your guarantee. I actually like him a lot, though Bortles did that? Why... I thought the Jacksonville Jaguars did that Personally, I really couldn't care less if any of you claiming you aren't going to watch if Tyrod is the week 1 starter don't watch. I just think the vast majority of you who say it are full of a bunch of hot air and will be watching the games, so it's just irritating to read people say stuff like this. I think nedboy was accurate in painting a lot of you with the "whiny baby" brush because most of you are whining now and will be back in the Fall, regardless. If you're not one of those, good for you and I hope you enjoy your Fall doing other stuff on Sundays other than watching Bills Football and during the week posting on a Bills message board
  3. Like you were about Bortles?
  4. I'd do that trade minus EITHER the #1 next year OR Cordy Glenn
  5. Forgive me if I don't take your word for it and wait and see if you're still here posting about what happens in the games in 8 months if Taylor our starter at the beginning of the season before believing anyone really isn't going to watch. So much can happen in the next 7 months... who knows, by the time the season is primed to start you might actually be excited to watch the Bills week 1 even if Taylor is the starter
  6. This... this exactly. And if Tyrod is the starter in game 1, the Bills will sell out games as they always do and all the posters who are saying they won't watch the team will come around to watching the team week 1... well, at least all the ones who have been Bills fans for more than a minute. People are just very emotional right now, apparently.
  7. 3 posts in a row... HE WAS BENCHED HE WAS BENCHED HE WAS BENCHED Is that really the reason all the people saying Tyrod will obviously not be a Bill this coming year are clinging to? It seems like the only thing anyone ever points to when you ask them why they think he'll be off the roster
  8. All of everything I say is just my opinion about what happened in the past. I don't feel like I present them as "absolutes," but if you take them as me trying to say they're "absolutes," don't. You're speaking in absolutes. As far as McDermott not being a "knee-jerk guy," I agree, but it makes sense if this report (there were a few of these out there like this, but this was just the first I came to) is true: I view it as McDermott looking at Dennison as being the offensive mind, giving him the benefit of the doubt considering he was the offensive mind, making the change on Dennison's behalf, and then hastily putting Tyrod back in after 30 minutes of football and going back to the "Tyrod is our starter" mantra. In the end, everyone can go against their nature or beliefs if convinced persuasively enough. McDermott did, realized in an "OH CRAP!!!!!" moment that he shouldn't have, and has gone back to the calculated guy he was before that uncharacteristic move. Hence, the "Taylor is our starter" mantra again. All of the above is merely an educated guess. Childish? No. Sarcastic? Yes. Sorry, I'm a sarcastic guy... can't change what I am
  9. I'm like 80% he'll be on the roster in the Fall and maybe 55% he'll be the starter week 1, so I wouldn't make a bet that he's the week 1 starter. Despite the fact that I probably made more bets in the last year than I have over the course of my entire life... I'm not really a betting man, though.
  10. Well... I don't think the Giants are going to pick a QB at #2 as of this moment... soooo, I guess I disagree with you. Sorry
  11. You said it, and because you said it, so it must be No point in arguing with the omniscient.
  12. Boy... and I'm the guy made fun of for making bets here. What kind of money would you put on Tyrod not being on the Bills roster week 1 of the regular season?
  13. I don't think the Giants are going to pick a QB anymore. Browns are picking one at #1 (hopefully Allen) and then I think it's fair game on picks 2-4 for teams to trade up to get Rosen/Darnold/Mayfield.
  14. Wow... I hope people are actually reading that. I actually got a little choked up. Really feel bad for that guy.
  15. Well... not according to 80% of this message board
  16. Poor Browns... they just keep getting screwed if that's true! They can have Tyrod if they're willing to part with that #1 or maybe #4 pick
  17. Well... obviously McDermott is primarily responsible and he's the ultimate decision man but... Just a very quick google search led me to this article: http://us.blastingnews.com/sports/2017/11/real-reason-why-buffalo-bills-benched-tyrod-taylor-emerges-002176861.html Per source close to the situation, a feud between Rick Dennison and Tyrod Taylor after last Sunday’s game eventually lead to the benching. Rick Dennison essentially gave Sean McDermott an ultimatum. Bench Tyrod, or I’m (Dennison) out. This is Rick Dennison’s offense and he wasn’t going down with the ship, so to speak. It is refreshing to see ownership allow these guys to do what they do without interference. Two can play at this game... https://www.msn.com/en-us/sports/nfl/ranking-the-top-6-destinations-for-cousins-after-redskins-landed-smith/ar-BBIuDka?li=BBmkt5R&ocid=spartandhp#page=2 Ranking the top 6 destinations for Cousins after Redskins landed Smith 6. Buffalo Bills Projected 2018 cap space: $29.4 million The Bills have made it clear they don't believe in Tyrod Taylor as their long-term starter, and Nathan Peterman is likely to be a hard sell after his five-interception performance, so Buffalo should be in the quarterback market. The problem for Buffalo is it can't offer anything to Cousins that other teams can't. The Bills were a playoff team (just), sure, but little about their roster stands out - especially on the offensive side. LeSean McCoy is obviously a star, but at 29 years old, he'll likely only be around with Cousins for a season or two. Buffalo does own two first-round picks with which to boost their roster, but they'd be hard-pressed to sign Cousins and other significant free agents with their available cap space. Sorry, Bills nation, Cousins likely won't be your savior.
  18. Considering we were on a 2 game losing streak and our offense crapped the bed the week before and got absolutely destroyed defensively, obviously unhappy with the team and with our offense in particular after the Saints game. 2 losses in a row = unhappy = desperation to right the sinking ship followed by Benching Tyrod (by many accounts at Dennison's request) in state of desperation = Worst half by a QB since AFL/NFL merger = OH CRAP!!! I'VE MADE A TERRIBLE MISTAKE!!! Is this really the dumb game we're playing?
  19. Not remotely surprising. I never thought we would get Cousins, but if this actually does happen... man... the only viable vet QB options left that anyone on this message board could talk about would be Bradford and, I suppose Keenum and Foles. Blah... Possible we hear that the Bills traded Tyrod as part of a larger package up to #1 or #4 with the Browns in the next month and a half so we can draft Darnold, but geez I think this is going to be another year of Tyrod vitriolic discussion on this message board
  20. Yeah... he's darn happy with 7 points if the other team has less. I think that's accurate. Although I was talking about an individual game us winning 7-0, which doesn't seem like what you brought up here and, by the way, is not even remotely close to a sustainable average for a winning team, so now you're talking about "averaging 7 points in the 2nd half" which is very different than averaging 7 points per game. You keep changing the discussion. McDermott is happy with a Win. It's that simple.
  21. Not gonna bother trying to track that statement down, but I'm sure, as always, that was mixed in with a whole bunch of other conversations. So I'll just put it this way... If we win a game 7-3, I think McDermott is happy. If we lose a game 24-26, I think McDermott is unhappy. I think there are coaches that care about an offense being "on" for entire games and those are usually offensive coaches like McVay and Pederson and also Bellicheck. I think McDermott, based on watching our offense just go uber-conservative with leads, doesn't care at all about how many points we score as long as we have more than the other team. That's what I think based on the 2017 team that I watched.
  22. Priority #1: Protect the football MMQB or one of those football sites (don't feel like searching for it, but it was widely reported) have reported that McDermott is practically obsessed with not turning the football over on offense. Obviously, that's Taylor's greatest asset. Now in this "process" McDermott keeps preaching, I'm sure he wants significantly more production as an offense, which is going to involve drafting a QB who can come in as our long term answer to execute the offense at a very high level. But in the meantime, he fired the OC from last year and brought in a guy who just worked with a QB who's significantly more limited than even Taylor is and helped get Alabama to a National Championship with that QB. Besides, do great coaches often come out and publicly and actually say they're "happy?" Does Bill Belicheck ever do that?
  23. Which explanation I've given in the past are you saying doesn't make any sense? I really don't know which you're talking about. Can you tell me the explanation and try not to give me what you think I meant? I've never said McDermott is happy with the offense under Taylor, as you seem to imply. If I've said he's happy, can you find me actually saying that? Lack of turnovers Contract that was built perfectly as a bridge to a drafted QB as it expires next year Last year's OC fired Now the one guy I thought was the most legitimate vet QB option for us has been traded It's funny that you say I'm thinking emotionally and not logically in this whole situation about whether McDermott and the Bills move on from him or not this offseason because I'd argue you're doing that yourself. I'm not really emotional about this because I want to upgrade over Taylor. But I don't think we're going to make the same mistake we did back with Fitz and EJ when we cut off our nose to spite our face.
  24. We've talked this to death and I've given my explanation many, many times. You disagree... fair enough. We'll find out soon enough. But I think you're confusing my past statement of "Taylor running the offense the way McDermott wants" with "McDermott was happy with our offense."
