They must've had some kinda inkling prior to the award show. It's weird that Josh's parents would be there.

Lots of butt hurt people on Twitter this morning that Lamar didn't get it. I had a suspicion Josh was gonna win it when I saw his parents sitting with him, and then they never showed Lamar once last night at the awards. I assume he wasn't even there
-
Pretty awesome for him, and takes away the sting a little of not getting to the superbowl for us fans... A little

Anyone else for using our draft capital for trades?
Steptide replied to SoonerBillsFan's topic in The Stadium Wall
I believe beane and McDermott are trying to win a superbowl, I just think it's time to change the philosophy a bit. It might be time to ditch the whole "trust the process" thing and start getting some big names. -
Prepare For The Bills To Go International Regularly

Thanks for the correction. Still wouldn't surprise me though if they're trying to increase betting world wide -
Prepare For The Bills To Go International Regularly

Wouldn't shock me if they're trying to make betting legal worldwide. I believe it's only legal to bet on nfl in the US, though I could be totally wrong about this -
Anyone else for using our draft capital for trades?

It scares me when beane and McDermott talk about how even though they haven't won the superbowl they've been successful. It makes me think they'll just keep doing what they've been doing, which is signing mid tier guys and getting the most out of them and drafting guys to develop them. F all that. It's time to go all in. If this season proved anything, it's that they can lose alot of core players and still be competitive. So go all in, win a superbowl, and if the season after we lose some dudes, so be it -
I don't think Diggs getting open had anything to do with scheme. Him being as good as he was, had everything to do with how talented he was. No offensive coordinator has a scheme that keeps wr's covered. I mean do you think Shakir got open because Brady schemed him open, but not Coleman? 90% of it is just the receivers being talented

Still annoyed, but Whatev. I've actually been thinking about the superbowl, I'm rooting for the eagles as I'm sure many are. What I really want though, is the Chiefs to lose in the most heart breaking fashion possible. I'm trying to think of the last time the Chiefs lost in a heart breaking way. I mean, honestly when was the last time? Maybe last year when the bills beat them and Mahomes was crying cuz Kelces lateral didn't count? I legit cannot remember the last time kc lost to a last second fg. Someone refresh my memory

Agree with this. It's becoming pretty apparent, the defense is our downfall. I've been saying since we lost to kc that the bills need to hire a legit defensive coordinator
-
I agree but if I had to choose between Samuel and Kupp, I think I'm taking Kupp. Fortunately I don't have to make these decisions though
-
I'd take him yes

How much cap we save 😉

Yes I agree. It actually blows my mind. I mean, it's the Chiefs. You don't know by now that you might have to think outside the box a little? Kc has beaten us 3 straight times in the playoffs, and yet they still changed it up, even with the advantage of being at home. McDermott talked about how it was just a play here or there that was the difference in the game, but maybe if they were a wee bit more creative, they could've just won by 10 points 🤷
-
While I'm purely speculating, I don't think the bills changed anything defensively when they played kc last week. Kc on the other hand did. They sent exotic blitzes and confused our offense. I would expect McDermott would know to do something like kc did on defense, but he didn't. I believe he thought they could beat them outright and it's just stupid and ignorant Imo.

Hard to beat the Chiefs and the refs every post-season
Steptide replied to ChronicAndKnuckles's topic in The Stadium Wall
I've been arguing with (mainly kc fans) all week on Twitter regarding the refs. There's seems to be a mis understanding between favoring and outright cheating. KC fans seem to think that bills fans think that the Chiefs and refs are just out right cheating and winning the games for kc. The reality is, the Chiefs get favorable calls, which greatly reduces the margin for error for the opposing team. Example 1 - Mahomes takes a deep shot to worthy where Cole Bishop jumps to intercept ball. Ball hits ground with no clear possession between worthy or bishop, but refs call a complete pass to worthy, a play or 2 later, Chiefs score 7 points. Now, imagine if this play was called incomplete. Kc maybe doesn't get a td, or maybe bills hold them to a fg, or maybe they get no points. So, kc gets a favorable call and walks away with 7 Example 2 - Josh Allen is marked short of the 1st down on 4th down. 99% of football fans would tell you he got it. The other 1% are kc fans that say he never crossed the line, even though we have over head angles clearly showing he got. Ball goes back to kc who goes down the field and scores 7 points. Now, imagine if the refs call 1st down and the bills score. They take a possible 8 point lead, or 4 point lead with a fg. Or possibly punt, who knows. But again, a favorable call that swings the Chiefs way that greatly shrinks the margin for error for the bills. Are the refs out right cheating? No, but they are swinging games. -
I enjoy free agency in hopes we get a few difference makers. The draft Imo is the most over hyped event in history. It's incredibly rare, especially under beane and McDermott, that anyone they pick makes an immediate impact. The wait for the season sucks, and when the season is here, it goes so fast.

James Cook Opens Up On Losing To Chiefs - interview
Steptide replied to One Buffalo's topic in The Stadium Wall
Hope they can lock him up quickly. Don't let him go somewhere else. He's gonna be a super star -
It might be time to bring in an experienced defensive coordinator. Someone with years of experience. I know McDermott is technically that, but maybe someone from the outside. I wouldn't hate bringing back jim Schwartz. I would've loved selah as DC if he didn't go back to San Fran. I just think it might be time to make some big changes
