  1. You are not alone in thinking something is up (that "this may be the last time you see me for a while" comment was odd, indeed):
  2. The "still has not interviewed"... as I understand it the target is not usually interviewed. Does that mean Comey, McCabe, Brennan, and Clapper will be indicted? ?‍♂️ One can hope. ?
  3. The Report... 10.2% unemployment (I want to see what happens now that the extra $600 incentive to stay home had expired) and added 1.8M jobs.
  4. Be prepared to read by your phone flashlight at Black and Blue. Last time I was there, I put the menu so close to the table candle for reading light, I was shocked I didn’t set it on fire. Hutch’s is very good but you can usually get a reservation at Remington Tavern (same owner). Hutch’s is small, Remington Tavern is large. You may also like Tempo. The Dapper Goose is eclectic, menu at the link. The Yelling Goat has a wonderful, diverse menu in a bar!
  5. From the DOJ: Justice Department Seeks Forfeiture of Two Commercial Properties Purchased with Funds Misappropriated from PrivatBank in Ukraine Both Properties Worth a Combined $70 Million The United States filed two civil forfeiture complaints today in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida alleging that commercial real estate in Louisville, Kentucky, and Dallas, Texas, both acquired using funds misappropriated from PrivatBank in Ukraine, are subject to forfeiture based on violations of federal money laundering statutes. Acting Assistant Attorney General Brian C. Rabbitt of the Justice Department’s Criminal Division, U.S. Attorney Ariana Fajardo Orshan for the Southern District of Florida, U.S. Attorney Justin E. Herdman for the Northern District of Ohio, and Special Agent in Charge Eric B. Smith of the FBI’s Cleveland Field Office made the announcement. The complaints allege that Ihor Kolomoisky and Gennadiy Boholiubov, who owned PrivatBank, one of the largest banks in Ukraine, embezzled and defrauded the bank of billions of dollars. The two obtained fraudulent loans and lines of credit from approximately 2008 through 2016, when the scheme was uncovered, and the bank was nationalized by the National Bank of Ukraine. The complaints allege that they laundered a portion of the criminal proceeds using an array of shell companies’ bank accounts, primarily at PrivatBank’s Cyprus branch, before they transferred the funds to the United States. As alleged in the complaint, the loans were rarely repaid except with more fraudulently obtained loan proceeds. </snip>
  6. Initial jobless claims Actual: 1,186K (1,186,000) Forecast 1,415K (1,415,000)
  7. I wonder how many are erroneously misidentified as felons?
  8. Not just NYS, also DC suing. I would expect more democratic state AGs to get in on this. New York AG seeks to dissolve NRA in lawsuit accusing leaders of self-dealing, causing $64 million in losses
  9. I "think" it had to do with the doctors (I am not sure if it was the CDC or NIH guy's testimony) saying that children should return to school in the fall.
  10. Tourism industry? What tourism industry? I guess people are not heading to NYC for any sort of meetings either. I wonder how long this will hurt NYC for tourism, conventions, heck, business in general?
