Trump's leadership team
Buffalo_Gal replied to Benjamin Franklin's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
I am surprised she lasted as long as she did. Her home/family life is one of the craziest dynamic I have seen play out in the political-public-forum in quite some time. Top Trump aide Kellyanne Conway to leave White House Kellyanne Conway, one of President Donald Trump’s most influential and longest serving advisers, announced Sunday that she would be leaving the White House at the end of the month. </snip> -

I have no idea who made it, but did rather succinctly encapsulate the DNC. I am shocked it is still up. -

Graham says declassified FBI documents show 'double standard' for Clinton and Trump campaigns Graham said the FBI sought to give the Clinton campaign a defensive briefing before it could pursue a FISA warrant Following the release of recently declassified documents, Senate Judiciary Chairman Lindsey Graham, R-S.C., says he believes the FBI showed a double standard in its investigations into reports of foreign interference at the campaigns of Hillary Clinton and now-President Trump in the lead-up to the 2016 presidential election. Calling it “the ultimate double standard,” Graham said that the documents reveal that leaders at the FBI sought to give the Clinton campaign a defensive briefing before it could pursue a FISA warrant related reports that a Clinton operative was connected to foreign government. "The FBI finds out about a plot by a foreign government to lobby her campaign and funnel millions of dollars into the Clinton campaign illegally," Graham said on Fox News’ “Sunday Morning Futures.” "They want a FISA warrant against a Clinton operative who is connected to the foreign government. What happens? The FBI seventh floor says we're not going to let you get a warrant. And to you defensively, brief the Clinton campaign." But instead of doing the same for the Trump campaign, the FBI opened the Crossfire Hurricane operation and pursued a number of FISA warrants against people working with Trump’s campaign. While Graham would not reveal which foreign government wanted to assist Clinton in getting elected, he said that FBI leadership shot down a request for a FISA warrant until Clinton was briefed on the matter. </snip> -

"Protesters" do not commit arson, commit theft, destroy businesses, or cause injuries to people. These are criminals.

Should absentee ballots be illegal?
Buffalo_Gal replied to Warren Zevon's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
An absentee ballot in NYS: Stolen from search: 1. Review the absentee ballot application and confirm that you meet the eligibility requirements for voting absentee. 2. Fill out the application completely. 3. Submit the request to your local election office. You should request your ballot as far in advance of the election as possible. The deadline to request a ballot by mail is (received by) Tuesday, October 27, 2020. 4. When your ballot arrives, read it carefully and follow the instructions to complete it and return it. So, Cuomo is playing games with absentee ballots: Cuomo signed a bill allowing New Yorkers to request an absentee ballot as long as they check off "temporary illness or disability" on their absentee application, similar to the executive order he signed ahead of the June primary. The bill opens the door for millions of registered voters across the state to apply and obtain an absentee ballot. At a hearing last week, state Board of Elections officials estimate that 5 million New Yorkers could be receiving an absentee ballot, representing four times the number requested during the June 23rd primary. 767,314 requested absentee ballots were mailed to New York City residents ahead of this year's primary in June, giving absentee ballots far greater weight than in the previous presidential primary, when 157,885 ballots were sent out. </snip> -
de Blasio is how they will get a Rudy 2.0, and then wonder how and why it happened.

I am not sure why they would close. No one can eat inside now. Gonna be a little chilly in the winter, but with enough patio heaters... De Blasio has ‘no plan’ for return of indoor dining in NYC Mayor Bill de Blasio bluntly said he has “no plan” for the return of indoor dining in New York City, citing a link between eating inside and a resurgence of the coronavirus in other parts of the world. “Indoor dining, there’s not a plan right now,” de Blasio said on WNYC’s “The Brian Lehrer Show” Friday. A Manhattan caller named Sharon had asked the mayor if there was any possibility that restaurants would be fully reopened this year. Right now, they’re only allowed to have outdoor seating or takeout. “There’s not a context for indoor dining. We’re never saying it’s impossible. But we do not, based on what we’re seeing around the world, we do not have a plan for reopening indoor dining in the near term,” de Blasio said. </snip> All this for under 800 cases statewide per day. Cases. Not hospitalizations. Not deaths. Just testing positive. Pure insanity.

I put in the hoax thread earlier. Not sure why anyone would look at it any other way. ?♂️
