  1. I am thrilled to know it isn't just happening to me and @plenzmd1 But seriously, I wonder what the issue is, and why it is only happening to a few people?
  2. He's the guy you definitely want to be following on Twitter during this.
  3. Man, @plenzmd1 now your quotes are so messed up, I cannot quote your response. I guess I'm next. Board software, gotta love the glitches. "But i thought all the tech , where people worked 80 hours a week to get successful, all leaned left??" I don't lean left. I do have some "lefty" ideals. I also have "righty" ideals. I like to think of myself as a centrist, and hopefully, I-can-be-taught. (And to be fair, I am no longer "in tech".) What you are seeing in so much of the tech workers leaning left is YOUNG people tend to lean left. The old, saw “If a person is not a liberal when he is twenty, he has no heart; if he is not a conservative when he is forty, he has no head."
  4. I hear the Shah's son is just sittin' around, waiting to help out. Jimmy Carter... shesh. He's gotta be "thankful" Obama was such a *****-up. Now Carter's only the second worst President in US history. (And I hope he makes a full recovery and is out hunting again in no time.)
  5. Link to article </snip> “We never once discussed it when he was there,” the former vice president said of his son. “There’s not a single bit of evidence that’s been shown in any reporting that’s been done that he ever talked about it with me or asked any government official for a favor. ... I have great confidence in my son. He’s a man of great integrity.” </snip>
  6. A thousand dollar a month retainer is a small amount of money, however, the "for 16 years" does raise some eyebrows. And the question of "why?" is a good one.
  7. I've seen people on Twitter begging for an economic collapse because #OrangeManBad O.o There are some crazy people out there, and their crazy voices seem louder simply because people react and engage. It happens here daily, now imagine it on Twitter-scale.
  8. Apparently, Devin Nunes was correct to be investigating him. (thread)
  9. I wanted to see it as the reviews are positive, and the preview looked clever. Guess I'll wait until it hits HBO or Starz or something. Going to see John Wick 3. This is hubby's idea, not mine. It can't be worse than the second one, and with luck will be as good as the first one. I talked my son into going to see Pokémon as part of some bonding time. We will probably head out next weekend or the weekend after that. He's looking at it was nostalgic, I am looking at it as a clean Ryan Reynolds movie.
  10. No one knows Google's exact algorithm as it is tweaked daily. (edited to add: "no one" refers to the average person, or even an SEO "expert", not google itself) "Good" linkbacks from other "good" (ie not spam as designated by... Google) sites are a strong indicator of a "good source". This is going beyond that. When a story comes out from 5 sites, the point is if a "conservative" leaning site breaks the source (and is credited by CNN, WaPo, NYT, etc), it will not rank first, the "left" leaning site will. I am assuming every one of those sites is in the 90s for (supposedly non-existent) google authority (Fox, CNN, WaPo, NYT, etc) so all things being equal, the conservative site should rank 1st as it broke the story, has credited links, and equal authority - on a clean browser (nothing with handy-dandy google tracking on it). That is not the case. The same thing is happening with the carousels and other google images. It is all manipulated by Google to lean the way they (google) would like. Duckduckgo.com It has come a long way. ?
  11. Victoria Nuland (Obama's State Department, pictured in photo below) CS = Christopher Steele Tatyana Duran worked for Steele at Orbis (his London investigation firm) (thread) And this (not sure I'd call this "hugging", but I get the point). Sergei (Serhiy) is the tall guy.
  12. I honestly do not know which one is crazier. Wacko simply does not cover the insanity. (This was in Milano's infamous sex-ban tweet that backfired on her with all the conservatives thanked her for it. LOL)
  13. Here is her handwritten memo: State Department handwritten notes of meeting with Christopher Steele
  14. This is actually a big thing. Looks like (at least some of) the campaign donation corruption (cvv #s are for chumps!) is being looked into. The wheels of justice can be slow. From back in 2017: Rap Star Probed by DOJ for Political Donations is Clinton Foundation Donor Fugees member Pras Michel gave $50k-$100k to Clintons, is tied to Malaysian fund suspected of embezzling billions A rapper who is reportedly under investigation by the Justice Department for receiving $20 million from a Malaysian fund just before he emerged as a major donor to groups supporting former President Barack Obama is also a Clinton Foundation donor. The investigation into rapper Pras Michel, best known as a founding member of the Fugees, is centered on his relationship with Malaysian financier Jho Low, whom the DOJ believes is behind a $4.5 billion fraud scheme, the Wall Street Journal reported this week. Michel received $20 million in "gifts" from Low in 2012—about the same time that he gave nearly $1.3 million to a Super PAC supporting Obama's reelection, gave $40,000 to the Obama Victory Fund, and gave $20,000 to become a founding member of Obama's Organizing for Action advocacy group. Michel's money also flowed to the Clinton Foundation, which discloses on its website that it received between $50,001 and $100,000 from Michel. </snip> Finally indicted yesterday. Another article (this one from yesterday): Prosecutors allege that from June to November 2012, Low directed more than $21.6 million to be moved from foreign entities to Michel's accounts in order to funnel money into the 2012 presidential election. They say Michel then paid about 20 straw donors and conduits so they could make the donations in their names and conceal where the money actually came from, according to the indictment. </snip> The embezzlement from the fund, known as 1MDB , became a political scandal in Malaysia. Looted money paid for jewelry and luxury art and helped finance "The Wolf of Wall Street" and other Hollywood productions films. The Justice Department last year announced charges against Jho Low and two former Goldman Sachs bankers in a money laundering and bribery scheme that pilfered money from the fund, created to spur economic development projects in that country. One of those bankers, Roger Ng, was extradited from Malaysia earlier this month to face charges in New York. </snip>
  15. Getting the black community to vote for a gay man? Ummmm Why do you think Cory Booker is still "closeted"? The Hispanic community also has large swaths where being gay is no bueno. They ain't votin' for "openly gay" Pete Buttigieg, no matter how many people in this thread would like to think otherwise. Now would Pete Buttigieg have a chance in say, 2032? Possibly. People do change and evolve, and 12/13 years from now, assuming he wins either a Senate seat or the Governorship in the meantime, he may be a contender. He'll only be 50, so still very young by Presidential standards.
  16. China sticking to an agreement is a BIG "if". Like you, I hope it happens.
  17. With any other Presidential, I would agree. The "tell" that things are happening is how they have treated Barr, someone they "respected" and "admired" prior to his current confirmation. If they didn't think ***** was gonna happen to them, they wouldn't be trying to discredit the messenger. ***** is gonna get real very soon, and for more than firings. What I find hilarious is I do not think they expected Barr to be "on Trump's side". What they do not understand is he is on the side of the law.
  18. Since President Trump knows all, this is ummm interesting: Trump: Discussing Biden probe with Barr would be 'appropriate' Rudy Giuliani, the president’s personal attorney, is urging Ukraine to investigate Joe Biden, raising questions about whether Donald Trump would pressure his attorney general to do the same. President Donald Trump told POLITICO on Friday that it would be “appropriate” for him to speak to Attorney General Bill Barr about launching an investigation into his potential 2020 rival, Joe Biden, or his son, Hunter. </snip>
  19. You guys are moving too fast for me today. If this was posted, apologies:
  20. He's always been a funny man. I don't always agree with him, but his delivery is usually excellent.
  21. You had a clip of this earlier, they also discuss the FBI burying the State department's memo (full interview, I "think" I have it set to start around 28 minutes where it needed to be):
