  1. So where's the tear gas and rubber bullets? Meanwhile, yellow vests are at week 34:
  2. Sounds like a 12 year old is in charge of that House Democrats account.
  3. I could not be a boss in this day and age - well, not be a boss and hire anyone under 30. (thread)
  4. Do not stand in line at Mrs. Wilkes Dining Room. Not worth the wait. If you "must" go for the experience (the food is so-so), it is three seatings. Get there an hour early for the first one (11am). Do not trust the line for the last seating. Cash only, family style, 10 people per table (you are seated with strangers).
  5. Tight? No. Clothing that fits? Yes.
  6. Shouldn't be in office!? She shouldn't even be in the country! (yeah, yeah, we "love" legal immigrants and refugees)
  7. Hookers all over rejoice! Pay-offs to make "problems" go away are once again A-OK!
  8. Where is the rubbing hands together while maniacally cackling emoji!?
  9. But will they learn? FTC votes to approve $5 billion settlement with Facebook in privacy probe The Federal Trade Commission voted this week to approve a roughly $5 billion settlement with Facebook that could end an investigation into its privacy practices, according to a person familiar with the matter but not authorized to speak on the record, a deal that could result in unprecedented government oversight of the company. The settlement -- adopted with the FTC’s three Republicans supporting it and two Democrats against it -- could end a wide-ranging probe into Facebook’s mishandling of users’ personal information that began more than a year ago. The FTC’s $5 billion punishment against Facebook sets a new record as the largest penalty ever assessed against a tech company that broke a past promise to the government to improve its privacy practices. The matter from here rests in the hands of the Justice Department, which typically must finalize FTC settlements, though DOJ rarely has upended them. </snip>
  10. better safe than (really) sorry
  11. 1) is a NO! NO! NO! NO! WAY!! if you are a female in a bar.
  12. Oh pullllleze. My husband does this. No one would know he even has an ass the way he buys his clothing. ?
  13. Yes, I read them, no I do not necessarily rely on them. Ever read some 1 star reviews? "UPS delivered a day late!" How in the world does that matter to the product performance. I do find myself reading 1-2-3 star reviews more often than 5-star reviews, however. If a product/service sucks, I want to know why. After reading, I then make my decision. For local restaurants? I ask my brother. He's an exterminator. If he tells me "Do NOT eat there", we listen (sucks because he told us that about one of our favorite Thai restaurants).
  14. Well if you swam off a speed boat, that could work. It is so different than when I was a kid. Back then "US" was the correct car answer (and all that was needed), a birth certificate was all you needed when walking. ?‍♀️ We live in different times.
  15. Not a shock. At all. I wonder if Mueller has even read the "Mueller Report"?
  16. Oh boy, Hubby better watch out. ?
  17. I wonder what they will say when someone whips out a boob for him to sign? I wouldn't put it past the Ds to stage that...
  18. She looks like she's on something.
  19. What about the father's real fear of the guy escaping/subduing the father and went back to the kids immediately to re-kidnap them?
  20. Who'd convict him!? Man Beaten to Death After Stealing Car With Kids Inside, Police Say Philadelphia police's homicide unit and the District Attorney’s Office will work to determine if the father will be charged A car thief who stole a vehicle with children inside was chased down and beaten to death by the kids' father and other bystanders Thursday night, Philadelphia police said. </snip>
  21. New North Korea constitution calls Kim head of state, seen as step to U.S. peace treaty SEOUL (Reuters) - Kim Jong Un has been formally named head of state of North Korea and commander-in-chief of the military in a new constitution observers said was possibly aimed at preparing for a peace treaty with the United States. </snip> Washington had baulked at signing a comprehensive peace treaty before North Korea takes substantial steps toward denuclearisation, but U.S. officials have signaled they may be willing to conclude a more limited agreement to reduce tensions, open liaison offices, and move toward normalizing relations. Denuclearisation talks between the United States and North Korea have stalled, although fresh talks with Pyongyang are supposed to take place this month. North Korea has frozen nuclear bomb and long-range missile testing since 2017. But it tested new short-range missiles after a second summit with the United States in February broke down, and U.S. officials believe it has expanded its arsenal by continuing to produce bomb fuel and missiles. The new constitution continued to describe North Korea as a nuclear weapons state. </snip>
  22. I am not certain anyone here knows about the Ravelry (they have (well, had) 8M members) kerfuffle that happened last month when all Trump support was banned from the site (patterns and such), and all Trump supporters were labeled "white supremacists". While I do not knit, crochet and am in no way a "yarnie", it was a hot topic among my friends (online and off). This article is written by someone who dislikes President Trump. It is an excellent article on how free speech is being treated, how insane the "radical left" are, and how diverse Trump supporters are. It is an excellent read, and if you have a few minutes, it will be worth your time. Inside the Twisted Ravelry Controversy Hate is Love. War is Peace.
  23. You sure that wasn't the Williamson one dollar donations to get her on the stage for the next debate? Link
