If someone had told me she'd be on the stage for round 2, and not the first "candidate" from those first 2 "debates" to drop, I'd have thought they were loonie. Well, loonier than she is. My biggest concern is people start to take her seriously, and we end up with President Williamson. Yikes. It is mildly amusing for a bazillion Rs to send her one dollar donations so she makes it to the next debate stage, but what if... -

Which makes me wonder why they would let anyone except Biden (who is an old white guy aka a throw-away candidate) get the nomination. I've thought Kamala was the "chosen one" since she declared. Why "waste" her on 2020 though? -

The jabbering about "linked to Trump" should be "linked to Trump as President Trump is on the list to testify against Epstein". And as far as the GOPe President Trump was "forced" or "needed" to have as part of his administration, I agree. Whether it was via coercion, due to who could pass the confirmation hearings, who had some inkling on how things could possibly get done when dealing with the swap, yes, I am certain a lot of his administration was compromise candidates. -

Section 3. No person shall be a Senator or Representative in Congress, or elector of President and Vice President, or hold any office, civil or military, under the United States, or under any State, who, having previously taken an oath, as a member of Congress, or as an officer of the United States, or as a member of any State legislature, or as an executive or judicial officer of any State, to support the Constitution of the United States, shall have engaged in insurrection or rebellion against the same, or given aid or comfort to the enemies thereof. But Congress may, by a vote of two-thirds of each House, remove such disability. Section 4. The validity of the public debt of the United States, authorized by law, including debts incurred for payment of pensions and bounties for services in suppressing insurrection or rebellion, shall not be questioned. But neither the United States nor any State shall assume or pay any debt or obligation incurred in aid of insurrection or rebellion against the United States, or any claim for the loss or emancipation of any slave; but all such debts, obligations and claims shall be held illegal and void. Section 5. The Congress shall have power to enforce, by appropriate legislation, the provisions of this article.[1]

The judge found the rights of the victims were impacted due to the light sentence. The question is why was there such a light sentence? My question is why is Alexander Acosta still head of Labor? Unless this doesn't lead to him? That Techno_fog thread @Deranged Rhino linked to above is very interesting. (Techno_fog has something about Cyrus Vance Jr giving a sweetheart deal as DA but he wasn't sworn in until 2010, so I am not sure how that ties together). The head of the DOJ in 2007 was Alberto Gonzales and Michael Mukasey. In 2008 Mukasey was head of the DOJ that was "supervising" this case. So, who are they after? -

I wonder if we will see another actress like AOC come-about? Since the whole political-world is on to what happened and how "she" (quotes because it is a team-sport) came to be a rep, will it be "allowed" to happen again? Or will the Ds take steps to watch and ensure it does not happen again? And, will AOC be primaried for 2020, or just have her seat go bye-bye in 2022 (assuming Nancy lives long enough to make those decisions)? -

Oy, another Trump/Russia conspiracy theorist has come down to PPP to lecture everyone that has been following this closely for several years now that no one in this sub-forum knows anything about what happened, or who actually conspired to rig an election. It is a rinse and repeat cycle. I get that people like conspiracy theories, I really do. I also understand that many people hate to be wrong, cannot admit when they are wrong, refuse to educate themselves on how they were wrong, and try and deflect from their wrongness with whataboutisms. Must be a tough way to go through life being so willfully ignorant. -

Technically, you can submit anything for a patent; simply pay the fee and fill out the paperwork, submit. That does not mean your claim will result in a patent being awarded (a magic broom is going to be rejected by the examiners quite quickly). But yeah, you can submit for anything.
