  1. I thought White Chicks was hilarious. ?‍♂️ I am not certain why putting face make-up/paint as part of costume is bad. I am sure someone can explain to me that my not understanding is rayyyycist. When the aliens come to beam us all up, Hollywood is gonna have some 'splainin' to do.
  2. Ah, Schiffy. You have no legal authority, oversight, or entitlement to the material. The President can declassify anything. My "favorite" part? Uh huh. The question of why a "whistleblower" is monitoring President Trump's phone calls (or other communications) with a foreign leader is a good one. Our intelligence community at work.
  3. That was until they all had a ciggy hanging out of their mouth. Dinner is a real treat. When we were here last (4 years ago), I don't recall it being this bad. Now, they do all walk a lot. The streets are narrow, parking is difficult to find, and gas is insanely expensive, so all the walking may help (in spite of eating twice what I do, most people are stick thin). Is the walking enough to combat the unfiltered cigarettes? We shall find out in twenty years. I do know that the black market to avoid all the taxes is alive and well and thriving! They may want "free" health insurance but no one wants to pay the insane, economy depressing, taxes that go along with it. (The Italian economy is still in the shitter, and jobs are extremely difficult to come by... said 4/4 of the tour guides we have had so far.)
  4. Shesh. Government even deeper in health insurance, yippee. We we are in Italy right now. Wanna know how much tax we are paying on everything we eat, drink, purchase for a souvenir, or clothing? A metric *****-ton. There are taxes on taxes. There are city taxes, rental (hotel), food taxes, VAT taxes, etc. All to pay some utopian ideal of heath insurance (oh, and EVERYONE smokes - which I have no idea how they afford it although it was explained that rolling your own keeps costs down ) so people "do not have to pay for health 'care' ". The nine most terrifying words, indeed.
  5. Ed Buck finally got arrested. Only took three dead bodies: Dem Donor Ed Buck Arrested After 3rd Man’s Overdose, Charged With Operating West Hollywood Drug House Ed Buck, a prominent Democratic donor and political activist, was arrested Tuesday and charged with operating a drug house and providing methamphetamine to a 37-year-old man who suffered an overdose at Buck's West Hollywood apartment last week, the Los Angeles County District Attorney's Office said. </snip>
  6. Industrial Production Rebounds 0.6% in August, Easily Beating Forecasts Manufacturing Production More Than Recovers Losses In July The Federal Reserve reported industrial production rose 0.6% in August after declining 0.1% in July, easily beating the forecast range and consensus. Forecasts for the total index ranged from a low of -0.5% to a high of 0.6%. The consensus forecast was just 0.2%. </snip>
  7. I don't know who posted this to thank: ? (I found it! Thanks @B-Man) Saudi oil attacks did not spark a US oil crisis. Thank Texas. "The world is not facing an oil crisis. Yes, half of Saudi Arabia’s daily production capacity was knocked out last week when facilities were damaged by airstrikes. Yes, if it takes many months for the Saudis to repair the facility, that could keep oil prices elevated. But there is no energy crisis, at least not today. No need for the U.S. military to secure oil in the Middle East for American consumption, no immediate need to tap emergency U.S. oil reserves, certainly no need to top off your gas tank today and hoard fuel in your garage. That’s because the world, and especially the U.S., has plenty of oil. The Saudis have enough reserves to keep their customers supplied for a month; the kingdom even told other OPEC countries to stand down in boosting production. And U.S. producers have the ability to quickly boost oil production thanks to fracking technology. Consider that the U.S. now produces more oil than Saudi Arabia" </snip>
  8. LMAO ? https://mobile.twitter.com/johncardillo/status/1173600671687483393 I was just attacked walking home from Chick-fil-A by two man bun wearing hipsters who were triggered by my gun. They tied skinny jeans around my neck and threw a soy latte on me while yelling “it’s Beto country.”
  9. The stupid of this story, it really does burn. Ruthie must not be doing very well if they are going this route... someone said something happened to someone who said "no it didn't" so let's push it anyway and hope for a SCJ impeachment, seems reasonable. 6-3 decisions after she is gone (I'm betting Roberts gets a spine once it no longer matters) are going to make the Trump election night meltdowns seem tame.
  10. My husband said the same thing about the Saudis. I'm not convinced, but never-say-never.
  11. I stole this from another site as it is very interesting: real time global marine traffic (tankers are in red)
  12. There were idiots in those comments that still think President Trump was colluding with Russia. Apparently, media brain washing, like subliminal messaging, can work on the weak minded.
  13. As a middle aged woman, that was not my experience at all. My female friends, relatives, and women on a shitton of blogs I read (for the last 10+ years) would have crawled over broken glass to vote for Hillary. As as of now, even the most vocal Trump-haters from after the election have toned it down, and many are at the "you gotta be kidding me" stage with the Democratic candidate offerings. Heck, I have a friend whose kid was afraid of being locked up after Trump was elected (I told the story here, Jewish, screaming liberal family, he was 11 at the time) who is now no longer opposed to voting for Trump! The complete turn around with her is amazing. Don't assume the Ds have the middle aged woman, or the suburban mom, vote locked up this time.
  14. Comments adding more ... spying, he holds a PhD focusing on cyber security in east Asia. Golly gee, that gosh darned Huawei. What's not to love?
  15. Darn, I missed it. Did anyone watch it? Real (non snarky) cliff notes would be appreciated. ?
  16. I am honestly shocked as I expected her to stonewall. So, is he the sacrificial lamb, or are Brennan and Comey next? (heh ... autocorrect changed Comey the Comedy. Not much of a difference.)
  17. Desperate people do stupid things. They are in for a world of hurt once all the IG reports surface, plus they are screwed in 2020. They know impeachment is wildly unpopular and close to political suicide, but they got nuthin' else. Sucks to be a Democrat right now.
  18. Lol click the tweet for the image https://mobile.twitter.com/DaveNYviii/status/1171970422964924417 Trump Campaign to fly this banner over Houston from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. local time -- an hour before Democrats take the stage.
