2019 Playoffs. 1st round

I love your optimism! Without the homerism I am thinking Baltimore vs 49ers... and if the Bills can't be in it (and win it) I am one of the anybody-but-the-patriots crowd. Honestly? At the start of the season I thought 10-6, Bills make the play-offs as a wild card and gain the "big stage" experience for next year. Now? the way the Bills are playing? Sky is the limit (barring injuries). -

Is this the case where the prosecution tried to put a wire on the defense, hacked the defenses emails (and read them), and where the prosecutor was removed for misconduct? -

Wow, this is some spin! Shorter version? Spartacus is done. Super PAC backing Cory Booker’s presidential bid shuts down A super PAC formed to support Cory Booker’s Democratic presidential campaign is shutting down. The group’s founder, San Francisco lawyer Steve Phillips, indicated in a news release Wednesday that Dream United had struggled to raise money. Booker, a New Jersey senator, has publicly disavowed support from super PACs, which aren’t required to disclose their donors publicly. Phillips, a former college classmate of Booker’s, said that it became clear while trying to fundraise for Dream United “that the donor community is strictly adhering to Senator Booker’s publicly articulated wishes that he does not welcome independent support.” The group raised a little over $1.1 million during the first six months of the year, far short of Phillips’ stated $10 million goal. -

Westpac Bank chief resigns over $7 billion money-laundering scandal PERTH, Australia — The chief executive of Australia’s second-biggest bank said Tuesday he plans to resign following accusations Westpac committed 23 million breaches of anti-money laundering and counterterrorism financing laws. The financial crime regulator AUSTRAC is pursuing Westpac in Federal Court for allegedly failing to report millions of international fund transfers including payments allegedly linked to child exploitation in Southeast Asia. The bank’s CEO, Brian Hartzer, was given 12 months’ notice and will still get his Au$2.7 million (US $1.83 million) salary. He will forfeit unvested bonuses and is ineligible for future bonuses. He is the third top executive from the country’s four major banks to depart in the past 18 months amid the scandal-plagued Australian banking sector. </snip> The bank is suspected of failing to report 19.5 million international fund transfers worth more than US $7 billion from November 2013 and September 2018. </snip> -

Supreme Court gives a temporary block to the Democrats from accessing Trump's taxes: Link to order Yahoo article, so spelling, punctuation, facts, and clarity are all suspect: </snip> Monday's Supreme Court’s decision is only temporary. Trump’s lawyers now have until noon on Dec. 5 to file a formal petition to the Supreme Court for a hearing on the case. If the justices decide to take the case, it will set up a showdown between Congress and the president that could have long-term ramifications for the balance of power between the two branches of government. But if the Supreme Court decides not to hear the case, then the pause on the lower court order will “terminate automatically,” the Supreme Court said Monday, which would lawmakers the access they're seeking. </snip>
