  1. She's on a downward trend in the polls. Maybe the internals are saying that is why and she thinks an apology will help? ?‍♀️
  2. I was not sure where to put this. It could have easily gone into the re-election thread because if he brings back full-flush toilets and regular flow shower heads, he could have a 48 state landslide. President Trump talks about bring back old bulbs (and keeping the new bulbs), looking at sinks and showers lack of pressure, the stupidity of low-flow toilets and opening up the standard (in non desert areas). He's talking about having both. Video here. President Trump holds a small business roundtable at the White House and speaks on regulations on small businesses, bringing back a cheaper light bulb and improving water pressure and conservation in the U.S. "New bulbs doesn't make you look as good, being a vain person, that is very important to me. Gives you an orange look. Has anyone noticed that?" ?
  3. The Ukraine calls have nothing to do with anything impeachable. The second call appears to be a warning shot of what is to come. When you have a ***** ton of people on a telephone call that is being recorded and transcribed, you can send a message - and I do not think the message was meant for the Ukrainians.
  4. oh for *****'s sake... only someone completely disconnected from reality would think it is ok to NOT investigate the Obama administration for corruption, but a-ok to investigate the Trump administration for anything and everything. I have no idea why people keep arguing about this. If you were all for checking into the Trump campaign for 2016 foreign election "interference", you should be on board with investigating the Obama administration for 2016 election interference, 2008-2016 money laundering, graft, etc.
  5. There is a total disconnect in the media. This article was on Fox for jobs numbers yet the Fox TV blurb is it was a disappointment (and the market was taking it in stride - duh because it is good news). October and September were also revised (again) upward. US job growth roars back in November, with 266,000 added U.S. hiring surged in November, as the economy added 266,000 jobs and unemployment returned to a half-century low, a sign the U.S. is powering through a global slowdown. The payroll number easily topped the estimate of 180,000 from economists surveyed by Refinitiv, who also saw the unemployment rate holding steady from October's 3.6 percent. It marks the 110th month of straight gains. Unemployment ticked down slightly to 3.5 percent as more people were looking for work, matching a 50-year low. The labor force participation rate was little changed at 63.2 percent. Average hourly earnings, meanwhile, rose by 3.1 percent over the past year to $28.29. </snip>
  6. We have a UPS box and send 95% of our packages there, but for the remaining 5% that get delivered to the house, I have a big fat sign on my front (double) storm doors to open a door and leave the package inside in the vestibule. There are still delivery people who leave packages outside of the door even with the eye-level signage. I'm more worried about the elements than I am getting my packages stolen, however. And no one rings or knocks. They used to, but that stopped a few years ago.
  7. There are some true believers out there! And, there is always a Buffalo connection. Will Buffalo Become a Climate Change Haven? The Western New York city possesses a distinct mix of weather, geography, and infrastructure that could make it a potential climate haven. But for whom? </snip> Rising temperatures have yet to produce more heat waves or extreme rainfall in Western New York. Experts say the region’s cool climate and ample fresh water could make it an attractive destination as the planet heats up. </snip>
  8. wow, you are easy...
  9. </snip> A state investigation into a Northern Kentucky judge is linked to complaints that accuse her of demanding sex and money in exchange for preferential treatment. Those who refused faced the "wrath" of the judge at the center of the complaints: Kenton County Family Court Judge Dawn Gentry. One attorney reportedly quit after the judge flirted with her via Snapchat, pressured her to seduce the judge’s husband and asked her to join the judge and a former church pastor in a threesome. </snip>
  10. Right now, there is not a single story about impeachment on any of my browsers from yahoo news (my homepage). Normally it is loaded with anti-Trump articles. Things that make you go hmmmm
  11. You are not alone. There only possible concern for them might be the pitchforks and torches outside their homes if they did betray the Republican base and turn on President Trump. The GOP base is armed, so it might give them a slight pause.
  12. I am pretty sure it is more than three times, but I get your point. I read something today about the Democrats banking on retaking the Senate and not losing the House and just keep impeaching him through 2024. SMH Sounds like a winning strategy! Makes me wonder what they are smokin' that they "think" winning the Senate is going to happen? Goodness knows there is no "impeachment fatigue" among rational Americans who have seen Trump thoroughly investigated and noticed that the Democrats have nothing on him. What happens in a few weeks when another government shutdown is imminent? Does everybody play nice? Does Nancy get blamed? Do the Rs get blamed? Should be interesting to watch.
  13. I'm skeptical, although it is possible. If Nancy has control of the dollars, they will vote as she says. Now honestly? I wouldn't be shocked if she says vote against it (behind closed doors) simply because it is an absolute loser (in more ways than one). It would have to be some of the 30-somethings that will not get reelected if they do vote for impeachment voting against it, and then Nancy can come out with "Well, we tried."
  14. I reported the tweet. I wish more people would when they see things like this.
  15. I thought Rudy was retired?
  16. Yeah, Trudeau is saying mean-girl things about President Trump so we shouldn't re-elect him seems like a winning strategy! Democrats should go with that!! It certainly does not prove that the "elites" think they are better than everyone? No, not at all.
  17. I honestly do not know. Over Thanksgiving I got to chat with some relatives from the very blue Boston area, one of them is an attorney. Let's just say that in their opinion (so anecdotal) the Democrats are idiots (they are Democrats) and this is all a charade. If I had to guess (and it is only a guess) I'd say most people are tired of this. They have had enough of #OrangeManBad and a do-nothing Congress. That is only my guess though. 2020 will tell a bigger tale one way or the other.
  18. Didyafindit? Didyafindit? If Clapper said that... wow weeeee. That's gonna deflate more than a few balloons. Awwww that was not quite what I expected.
  19. Monday is OIG day. Hence the Democrats having a shampeachment day! ? ? ? ? There was a small OIG report today and a small one three weeks ago. It is being ignored by the press, which proves the point that the press isn't going to cover this unless they have to. Which makes a Senate trial veeeerrrrry interesting.
  20. That is a must watch, there are three short videos. Yovanovitch was up to her eyeballs in the Ukrainian money-laundering scandal, which we knew. @Chef Jim the second video touches on Franklin Templeton money laundering that you had asked about the other day. The third video mentions Schiffy.
  21. Nothing says 'connect to the people' like John Kerry.
  22. She looks like she is short-circuiting. Between Nancy and Joey-B it appears that Democratic leadership could get a group discount at the local dementia home. It is past time for her to retire.
