Horowitz: A number of people at the FBI knew that the Steele dossier was paid for by the Clinton campaign/DNC. We don't know how high up they knew. Mr. Ohr was passing information on from the Justice Dept to his (colleges, friends, I forget which word he used) at the FBI.

Grassley - asking about Obama knowing about the counterintelligence investigation. Horowitz does not know the answer to that.

Horowitz was squishy about bias concerning the FISA and attorney's action (murky was the word he used). He keeps saying "the opening" and "trusted foreign government" (why Durham and Barr were off to Italy, Australia, etc)

No bias but the FISA application was improper. {head scratch} I know the IG is a rules guy more than anything else. It is interesting what he looked at, commented on, and recommended. His conclusions seem geared toward changing FBI rules more than anything.

I was thinking that myself. This appears to be much more competent, not based on feelings (quite the opposite, Horowitz is unwilling to read anyone's mind), and things seem much calmer (I am assuming procedure rules are being followed?)

Michael Atkinson, the current IG of the Intelligence Agency that turned over the "whistleblower" complaint against Trump for the Ukraine call, was the general counsel for the FBI National Security Division in 2016 through late 2017.

Horowitz - the higher ups should have reported exculpatory information to the courts. Horowitz cannot comment on state of mind (for bias). Lindsey is pushing hard to show bias against Trump.

LOL "These findings don't vindicate anybody" - Horowitz when asked by Lindsey if this report vindicated Comey Christopher Steele was politically biased according to Horowitz (should have been disclosed).

Dianne Feinstein - she's going to go with the "no evidence of anti-Trump bias". She has to. It is all she's got to make this less horrifying. She's never going to explain that they (the OIG) needed someone to confess to it being politically motivating in order for that conclusion to be drawn by the report. I wonder who will ask Horowitz to explain this?

The pee-pee dossier was based on a joke made in a bar. And, Lindsey wants Carter Page to sue the FBI and CIA. LOL He's mentioning how they lied to get the FISA warrants.
