  1. So, have you slogged through the whole report (I am only halfway through)? What is your opinion of it? Pretty damning for top tier FBI people from the Obama administration in through their firing by President Trump, huh?
  2. @transplantbillsfan I'll make it easy for you... first 10 seconds:
  3. Hmmm @Deranged Rhino think press indictments are possible, too? (I think you touched on this before, but I could be mis-remembering)
  4. That is a very nice sentiment. I think you are going to be disappointed, however.
  5. This is an argument put forth from time to time down here. There are several reasons for dropping a twitter link: the article contained within the tweet (so basically crediting the found source) and the twitter threads (some of the people on twitter do not write for a site, but rather put together sourced commentary in the form of a twitter thread). Additionally, twitter posts can bring about additional comment from the posters in PPP on the subject. ?
  6. Only the terminally naive ever believed anything coming out of Obama's mouth. The script was always a buncha lies.
  7. I cannot imagine why the Democrats want the Ukraine scandal anywhere near a national audience of hearings in the Senate. Simply crazy.
  8. "msm" = main stream media... I've demoted them to small letters as they are not worth much more than that. I could call them American-Pravda, it would be a pretty fair description.
  9. U.S. seals demise of WTO appeals bench - trade officials GENEVA, Dec 9 (Reuters) - The fate of the World Trade Organization’s top court was effectively sealed on Monday after the United States said it would not back a proposal to allow it to continue, trade officials said. The Trump administration has been blocking appointments to the WTO’s seven-member Appellate Body that rules on trade disputes for over two years, with U.S. officials saying the court had gone beyond its remit. The Appellate Body needs a minimum of three judges to function but the terms of two of the three remaining members of the appeals panel expire on Tuesday and there are no replacements in sight because of the U.S. blocking strategy. Another attempt was made on Monday to reach a consensus on laying down arrangements for filling the vacancies, as well as obliging the appeals panel to issue rulings within 90 days. </snip> Much of the U.S. displeasure stems from how the WTO has tied its hands in dealing with China. In binding rulings, WTO judges have given Beijing the benefit of the doubt on subsidies and rejected Washington’s treatment of dumping. </snip>
  10. This is a mix of different types of media including sports, news, whatever HuffPo and BuzzFeed are supposed to be, etc. 7,700 people have lost their jobs so far this year in a media landslide * In the past month, layoffs and cuts have hit Gannett, the CBC, and Highsnobiety, bringing the total number of media layoffs in 2019 above 7,700, according to Business Insider's tally. * The latest cuts followed layoff and buyout announcements at BuzzFeed, Verizon, Vice Media, and Disney. * For comparison, it's estimated that some 5,000 media jobs were cut from the market from 2014 to 2017. </snip>
  11. I'm not even bothering to watch. This is predetermined, so why give them the air time? I gotta tell ya, politics is an ugly business. There is no way I could ever be a politician. As the Democrats are manufacturing some impeachment nonsense, Trump and the House are also doing defense funding (including space force), the USMCA is about to be ratified, and now they all have to work together to avoid another government shutdown, and they will! I could not do it. I could not work with people who have threatened my family, lied about me, and made my job as difficult as possible for the last three years. And not even for some great philosophical reason - such as making the United States a better place! Oh no, this all comes down to money. The graft-machine has been cut off by President Trump, and the howling monkeys in Congress just do not like that. And this also has made me question... if 'everyone' knows this impeachment nonsense goes nowhere, and they are all continuing to work on funding bills (and other legislation), why do it? Bread and circus for their base? Make Trump miserable? Distracting from the OIG findings (regardless of the press trying to play the "mistakes were made" card, that report was damning for (ex) top-tier FBI officials)? Distracting from possible Durham/Barr indictments?
  12. Elections are Thursday. I guess that will determine whether or not BrexIt ever happens.
  13. No one knows exactly how "well informed" you are, @transplantbillsfan because you are not down here often enough to engage in a meaningful way. Reading source documents - not just the headlines or the first three paragraphs of a "msm" piece is how you (generic you) stay informed. Your point that most people do not have the time to do a deep-dive is well taken - and why the "msm" gets away with headlines and three-paragraph propaganda written before any facts found after that (in many released 'news' articles).
  14. Most have proved the adage that an attorney who represents himself has a fool for a client (sorta). I've said for a while the only "smart" one of the bunch during this debacle has been Tony Podesta who closed down his firm and has remained silent during this whole debacle. (The justice department ended their investigation into him this past September.)
  15. OH! Of course! She and Comey are toots absolved of any wrongdoing. They said so on Twitter. How stupid of me not to realize that was all it took. ?
  16. Let's see if anyone gets charged (well, except Ohr and Strzok who are *****) before we start talking prison time.
  17. Whaaaaa? I think you may want to read this report. It indicates she did not start this (people have surmised that was John Brennan) but I am not sure how anyone can say she was "vindicated" by this report.
  18. Because shut up, that's why... Sounds snarky, but it is pretty close to the truth.
  19. But, will he be charged? That is the $64,000 question.
