Really? Because I recall the Rs hating Bill Clinton, but not trying to impeach him from before he was elected (actually, I recall them hating Hillary more than Bill). While Bill Clinton was impeached over an actual crime (perjury), Trump hasn't committed a crime (well, #OrangeManBad isn't a crime no matter how the press and the Ds would like to spin it). I disagreed with the Clinton impeachment (and he came back stronger after it), I am incensed with the Trump impeachment. I expect President Trump to be even stronger politically than Clinton was after that debacle.

To me, this is bizarre (and why I could never have been a politician). One day, "Let's impeach the president for reasons," next day, "Let's ratify the president's signature legislation!" Yea 385 Nay 41 (5 no votes)

The only reason is for Eagle Scout. It means something. My son is an Eagle and never takes it off his resume. If you are entering scouting and do not plan on becoming an Eagle (less than 2% of all scouts do), then I have no idea why a girl would want to join boy scouts.

What was the point of voting to impeach if you are not going to submit the articles to the Senate? A giant distraction? Making the crazy-base happy? Nancy caving to the clown-car drivers but going no further? And, what are the repercussions of not submitting to the Senate? Ha-ha we impeached you nanny-nanny-boo-boo is a pretty crazy way to govern. Does voting for impeachment impact how things work (or don't work) in Congress and between President Trump? IOW will bills still be written, judges still appointed, money still spent, etc and then submitted to the President? If so, why do this?

Oh come on now... everyone knows once Trump is impeached he must immediately leave the White House that night, and Pence, as his VP will be out of a job too! And then, we have President Pelosi... ? I think the Democratic base is gonna be a bit disappointed with the actual results of this debacle.

2020 is in the bag for Democrats to keep the House, and take back the Senate and White House!!

If you had been following the discussions about impeachment (across many threads) down here, you would know most who expressed an opinion that the Clinton impeachment was not in the best interest of the country.
