The Thread For Greg's Stashes

The gofundme was easily reached. He will be getting his own pair, and the rest will be donated to a foundation that purchases color blind glasses for those who cannot afford them. -
@plenzmd1 there is a huge rush right now for people to set a narrative. Yesterday we saw them trying "oh, it was just a low-level flunky", and "oh, that craptastic steele dossier was an a-ok source" which it was not. The OIG report released earlier this week basically said, "nut uh" But Horowitz will conclude that the application still had a proper legal and factual basis, and, more broadly, that FBI officials did not act improperly in opening the Russia investigation, according to the officials, who, like others, spoke on the condition of anonymity to discuss the sensitive report. I know it is difficult to believe, but WaPo is spinning, and spinning hard. They are either being lied to and believe it or being lied to and happy to pass on the lies or making up lies. The printing of the lies, the slanting, the misrepresentations, are why few believe them as an accurate source (and when when something is accurate we say, "see even the... )

Former Vice President Joe Biden threatened Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC) for launching an investigation into his activities with Ukraine while in the Obama White House, stating the Republican will “regret” the move his “whole life.” On Thursday, Graham sent a letter to Secretary of State Mike Pompeo requesting documents to aid in determining whether Biden pushed for the firing of Ukrainian Prosecutor General Viktor Shokin to squash a sweeping probe into Burisma Holdings, the Ukrainian energy giant where his son, Hunter Biden, served as a board member. The younger Biden was compensated generously, making up to $83,000 a month for several years while on the Burisma’s board. “Lindsey is about to go down in a way that I think he’s going to regret his whole life,” Biden told CNN host Don Lemon in a Friday interview in South Carolina. “I say Lindsey, I just — I’m just embarrassed by what you’re doing, for you. I mean, my Lord.” </snip> -
Laura Ingalls Wilder removed from book award over racist language The US Association for Library Service to Children (ALSC) has removed Laura Ingalls Wilder's name from one of its awards over racist views and language. The association had received complaints for years over the Little House on the Prairie author's "anti-Native and anti-Black sentiments in her work". The ALSC board voted unanimously on Saturday to remove Wilder's name from the children's literature award. The medal will be renamed as the Children's Literature Legacy award. The ALSC, a division of the American Library Association, said Wilder's novels and "expressions of stereotypical attitudes" were "inconsistent with ALSC's core values". Wilder's children's novels about pioneer life in the American West have been criticised for language that dehumanises indigenous peoples and people of colour. </snip>

What have the Democrats done in the past Four years

This would not be a shock: -
Atkinson? He was legal counsel for the DOJ National Security Division during the Hillary Clinton "investigation" and the Donald Trump "investigation". As the top lawyer for the DOJ NSD he oversaw the people who altered the FISA docs before moving on to be the Intelligence Community Inspector General. He changed the rules and allowed for hearsay evidence and then pushed the fake whistle-blower claim into the public. Fox guarding the hen house.

Security footage confirms no one entered area Epstein was jailed the night he died, attorney general says • Epstein’s death was a ‘perfect storm of screw-ups,’ Attorney General William Barr told The Associated Press. • Barr said that he personally reviewed security footage that confirmed that no one entered the area where Epstein was housed on the night he died. • These comments come days after two correctional officers who were responsible for guarding the wealthy financier when he died were charged with falsifying prison records. </snip>

Last month: The Federal Communications Commission plans to cut off funding to wireless carriers that use equipment the agency says may pose a national security risk. The FCC said Monday it'll vote next month to bar operators that receive Universal Service Fund money from purchasing gear from companies such as Chinese telecom gear makers Huawei and ZTE, which national security agencies in the US say could spy on American communications. </snip> Today: (I couldn't get the bloomberg law write up in full, so am using this link instead) The Federal Communications Commission (FCC) has voted 5-0 on a new rule that would ban service providers from using government subsidies to buy China's Huawei and ZTE equipment, reported Reuters. 22-Nov-2019 11:26:34 AM - FCC VOTES 5-0 TO BAR U.S. RURAL CARRIER CUSTOMERS FROM U.S. GOVERNMENT FUND TO PURCHASE HUAWEI, ZTE EQUIPMENT, SERVICES All five FCC commissioners voted for the ban at the Friday meeting. The new rule would prevent rural carriers from accessing an $8.5 billion government fund to purchase Huawei and ZTE electrical components. </snip>

I am one that thinks RR is a weasel who cannot be trusted. A few things give me pause and makes me reexamine that thinking ... this testimony being one. And then, I have questions - Did he flip when he figured it was all gonna get pinned on him? Was he always aghast at what was happening? As you say, everything is not black and white, and RR may very well be a shade of grey. He also received a massive farewell ceremony/retirement party attended by people like Barr, Sessions, Kellyanne Conway, etc. That was interesting, to say the least. I won't be alive in 40 or 50 years (20 is possible) to see what the rest of the unsealed records reveal, but I am sure they will tell some story.

Who let CNN have first dibs on shaping a new narrative? Did they simply decide "oh *****!" and are now gonna try some semi-accurate reporting? @Deranged Rhino, I don't know all the media people involved in this (just some of the NYT names). Besides all the former FBI people they may have hired, is anyone else on CNN's staff going to be named in the OIG report? -

There is something wrong with Joe Biden. Whether it is old age or something to do with mini strokes, he's clearly got a problem. Is he remaining in the race to (hopefully) help Hunter? To save his own skin? To actually run as the nominee and fail spectacularly (no political capital lost for the Dems)? Why ever he's continuing, it is getting sad. And on Morning Joe... Morning Joe: It’s Time For Dems To Have A Talk About Biden </snip> SCARBOROUGH: Of course, Willie, he’s struggling there. He’s closing his eyes. He knows he’s having trouble finding words. The sentences are jumbled, the words are jumbled. I just worried when I read — you see this and, listen, I’m just saying, I think Biden has the best chance of beating Trump. I do. Like if he’s on his game. But I just wonder, is the media grading Joe Biden on a scale? Are we afraid to say that a lot of his sentences don’t make sense? That he’s having trouble completing thoughts? That when he’s asked in a previous debate about Afghanistan an issue he knows more about than anybody, not only on that stage, but in Washington, D.C., he ends up stumbling through an answer on Iraq. Are we grading him on a scale the same way people have always graded Donald Trump on a scale in these debates? GEIST: Yes. The answer is yes. </snip> -
Ruling. A California law that sought to require candidates to publish tax records in order to appear on the ballot has been ruled unconstitutional by the state’s Supreme Court Thursday. The “Presidential Tax Transparency and Accountability Act,” which was signed by California Democratic Governor Gavin Newsom in July, required candidates running for president or governor in the state to hand over the five most recent years of tax returns to the California secretary of state to qualify for the ballot. The California Supreme Court unanimously struck down the law Thursday ruling it a direct violation of the state constitution which mandates the state government to operate an “open presidential primary whereby the candidates on the ballot are those found by the secretary of state to be recognized candidates throughout the nation or throughout California.” The state’s highest court found that the new legislation passed by Democrats flew “in conflict with the [state] constitution’s specification of an inclusive open presidential primary ballot.” </snip>
