When all you've got is calling Catherine Herridge a hack for posting Government documents... and CBS is now "conservative." Huh, when I think right-wing, I cannot say CBS News is the first, or the millionth, thing that comes to mind. ?♂️ -
Fox runs stories 52% against Trump and the Trump Administration, 48% for Trump/Trump administration (those were the last stats I saw, you can find it if you look). That means they are pretty close to even, but they still report on Trump and the Trump administration negatively most of the time. You may mistakenly think they are "pro" Trump because they report some positive stories on Trump and the Trump administration vs the 90+% negative stories run by CNN and MSNBC. Now, if you want to point to a pro Trump/Trump administration, check out OANN. They are definitely pro Trump.

I like this explanation of unmasking (not mine, I stole it), and why this is a 'Big ***** Deal', to quote Joe Biden: When FISA is being used to surveil Foreign Contacts, such as the Russian Ambassador, US Law is such that any Americans on that call must have their names "masked" from the record, because of Constitutional provisions like the 4th amendment and the like. (You can't run secret investigation on American citizens without Probably Cause) So, if there is some special reason this person should be identified, this name can be "unmasked", but the official who asks for that must record his name and the date he asked for this to be done, since it is supposed to be quite unusual and rare. These records show that the Obama administration was grossly abusing this power and using it to surveil hundreds of people, presumably all of their political opponents. This is political corruption of the highest level. Unmasking someone without a valid intelligence or law enforcement reason -- something on the level of probable cause -- constitutes a deprivation of someone's rights and may be charged as a federal criminal offense.

So in Oregon where the Governor wants to keep the state in perpetual lockdown a lawsuit was filed last week by some churches (for the rule against 25+ people meeting). Here is the interesting part: Churches, individuals file suit in Baker County Circuit Court against Gov. Kate Brown seeking injunction to block coronavirus executive orders </snip> In the lawsuit he cites the section of the Constitution — Article X-A — that authorizes the governor to declare a state of emergency due to a public health crisis. Hacke said the plaintiffs don’t dispute that Brown has such authority due to the pandemic. The governor declared the state of emergency on March 8. But Hacke points to a section in Article X-A which states that the governor’s emergency powers can extend for no more than 30 days unless the Legislature, on at least a three-fifths vote of both the House and the Senate, agrees to extend the governor’s emergency powers. Brown has not convened the Legislature since declaring the emergency. “Because governor failed to avail herself of the constitutionally prescribed procedure, her initial executive order declaring the public health emergency, issued on March 8, 2020, terminated by operation of law on April 7, 2020, and all subsequent executive orders implementing or extending the original order are legally null and void,” the lawsuit states. “She’s giving herself powers to infringe on constitutional liberties in perpetuity,” Hacke said. “And she can’t do that.” He also contends that because Brown’s initial executive order was for 60 days, rather than the 30 days specified in the Constitution, it was unconstitutional from its inception. Oregon voters added Article X-A to the state Constitution in 2012 when they passed Measure 77 in the November election. Almost 59% of voters approved the measure. Prior to that, the governor had statutory authority to declare emergencies, but not constitutional authority. </snip>

If they wanted to declare Erie county to be "Finger Lakes Region" so we could reopen Friday, I'd gladly go along with it.

I've been reading people FAR smarter than I am saying Sullivan is a Federal judge and can do what he likes, but he will be smacked around by a higher court, and they will rocket docket the appeal to overturn in weeks or months (not years). Some have said Sullivan has shown animosity towards Flynn (not sure about that with this drag-on), some have said he hates Powell (that seems evident), some are wondering exactly WTF is going on here, and speculating a higher objective. ?♂️ I am not an attorney and do not play one on the internet, and even I can see this is odd, odd, odd.

Many people thought he'd set a hearing, at least based on what he did with the Ted Stevens case. He's been played for a fool by the prosecutors. How angry is he? I guess we shall see. He did let this drag on for over a year for a plea deal sentencing. At some point he must have reasoned something hinkey was going on. ?♂️

Funny you should say that... my uncle sent me some photos from 1980 and 1981 the other day, and wow was my hair long. I don't think it is any shorter right now. Shesh
