The Deep State War Heats Up

I like him because he is a force against corruption. I wanted to see a return to the rule of law, and it is inching there in spite of the far-left hyperbole that Trump is is a racist, sexist, misogynist, xenophobe, dictator. We are getting away from feelz, and moving toward laws. Oh, not all things, and I do get concerned when considering who will carry on with the good work in 2024, but this is not a trajectory I ever thought to see in my lifetime, so I will take what I can get.

All Roads Lead to the Ukraine
Buffalo_Gal replied to Deranged Rhino's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
Yeah, because Shokin's "corruption" is why he needed to go. Not a smidgen of corruption in the Obama administration. Not one smidgen! The *****. And some may wonder why people who have been following this for years were so outraged by the further actions of the Democrats in Congress in 2019 and 2020. -
All Roads Lead to the Ukraine

For those that want the Cliff notes: Biden and Kerry are telling Ukrainian President Poroshenko that we will give you a $1B (that is billion, with a B) but we can only do it if you fire the current chief investigator, Shokin, as he is "corrupt." Shokin was investigating Burisma. <<--- That Business Insider article aged well. LOL Trump and his personal lawyer Rudy Giuliani have suggested, without evidence, that Biden improperly pressured Ukraine to fire a prosecutor who had at one point been investigating Burisma Holdings. -

And Trump got impeached for a Ukrainian call. I doubt our "press" covers this, they have smothered every bit of Obama administration corruption for 11+ years. Why would they start reporting now? -

What have the Democrats done in the past Four years
Buffalo_Gal replied to B-Man's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
I thought his point was that Carter Page wasn't indicted because there was nothing for him to be incited for (say that three times fast!). He was simply used as a means to spy on people. They knew Carter Page did nothing wrong, and did not care. I could be misreading it though. -

I think you are missing his point. -
I was reading and there are 7 judges that are supposed to be elected (6 year terms), however the last 5 were all appointed by the Governor (mid term), and all 7 are Ds. The poor people of Oregon will be under lock down forever. The terms of three Oregon Supreme Court justices will expire on January 3, 2021. The three seats are up for nonpartisan election on November 3, 2020. A primary is scheduled for May 19, 2020. Thomas Balmer vs Van Pounds (all these are supposed to be non partisan) Chris Garrett (no opposition) Martha Walters (no opposition)

Judge tosses out Gov. Kate Brown's coronavirus restrictions in Oregon SALEM, Ore. (AP) — A judge in rural Oregon on Monday tossed out statewide coronavirus restrictions imposed by Democratic Gov. Kate Brown, saying she didn’t seek the Legislature's approval to extend the stay-at-home orders beyond a 28-day limit. Baker County Circuit Judge Matthew Shirtcliff issued his opinion in response to a lawsuit filed earlier this month by 10 churches around Oregon that argued the state's social-distancing directives were unconstitutional. Brown said she would immediately seek an emergency review by the Oregon Supreme Court. Her attorneys asked the judge to stay his ruling until the high court could review the case, but he declined. </snip>
