So, I had asked where they were going to go when discharged, as the nursing home is their home. Looks like they cannot be discharged until they test negative. Hospitals can’t discharge coronavirus patients to nursing homes: Gov. Cuomo Patients in New York hospitals must now test negative for the coronavirus before they can be discharged to nursing homes, Gov. Andrew Cuomo said Sunday — partially reversing a policy that forced sickened seniors into facilities housing those most vulnerable. </snip>

Ummm you must be new here. Tibs does not "make a case" or back-up any of his ridiculous assertions. He's a (paid) doofus who comes on the board (almost) daily to spout Russia! Russia! RUSSIA!, #OrangeManBad, and whatever DNC/Soros talking points come out that day. Ignore him (literally). You will be happy you did.

The Next Pandemic: SARS-CoV-2/COVID-19

If course he does!! WTH do you expect a negotiator to say? Exactly how would you negotiate with China? You are asshoe, now let's work a deal? SMH Now as to that February tweet... methinks what is "known" in February (or what information US Intelligence is trying to glean in February) may be very different than what will be known in August. Check Trump's tone later as more information is being gathered and becomes available. He qualifies, but is most unhappy with China (I am pretty sure he wasn't happy with them in January as he closed the border to flights from China). I would never consider Trump to be a diplomat, but as a negotiator who is being hamstrung by past deals? Yeah, I think he's done ok. (You may want to take this to the China thread. ? ) Makes you wonder what the intel on the Wuhan virus was, doesn't it? -

Er, I am not certain how you get that. He constantly bashes, then retracts, bashes, retracts. President Trump is a negotiator. He does push-pull, flattery, strong-arm, etc. His favorite appears to be push-pull. I think you are going to see some interesting times for China in the near future. I didn't want to put this in here as it goes further on China than COVID-19. There may have been fear it was a bio-weapon, and that may be why the world shut down. -

I do not think anyone here is is defending WHO or China, but a German newspaper has this story: China pressured WHO to delay global coronavirus warning: report Chinese President Xi Jinping pressured the director of the World Health Organization in January to hold off on issuing a global warning about the coronavirus outbreak, according to a report in a German newspaper. The Jan. 21 conversation between Jinping and WHO leader Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus was reported in Der Spiegel, which cited intelligence from Germany’s federal intelligence service, known as the Bundesnachrichtendienst (BND). The report published over the weekend said Xi urged the WHO chief to “delay a global warning” about the pandemic and hold back information on human-to-human transmission of the virus. </snip> -
Hmm. Like most stories on this virus, it’s hard to be sure what’s going on. Tom Cotton said no cell phone, roads closed. (Public information) To me, that would explain why the world leaders shut down as they feared it was a bio-weapon. Watch the video. Cotton drops a lot.

Still happening. Heck, we have true believers and shamers in this thread, and when anyone points out anything that contradicts the party-line, is a conspiracy, you want grandma to diiiiiiiiiiiiieeeee, yada yada. -

People are becoming less and less shy about naming Obama. Sidney Powell this morning names Obama. (Around 5 minute mark) McCabe to Clapper to Obama. Maria: Do you think this goes all the way to the top to President Obama? Powell: Absolutely.

They destroyed her career and forced her and her family to move and go into hiding over death threats. She needs to be able to sue the ***** out of these #######s. (This is a video) How Svetlana Lokhova Became A Casualty of Spygate, In Her Own Words | American Thought Leaders In her own words, how was Svetlana Lokhova, an intelligence historian and fellow at the University of Cambridge, suddenly swept up into the Spygate scandal?

The House and Senate can investigate and recommend criminal prosecution. Basically, they yap a lot and then ask someone who can do something about what they find to investigate further. (And people wonder why this all takes so long!) People may not be thrilled with Lindsey Graham, but when he said last week on Maria Bartiromo's show, I'm not going to interfere in ongoing criminal matter. This is a rule of law nation. I'm a politician. He is correct.

$3 each (plus shipping) would be a pretty good price for N95. We have a bunch (for construction use) and Hubby paid $2 each (he said "under $2" ) for them last year, so a dollar more right now? US made? Not bad. But, to the point, going to a doctor's office and buying one or two, or stopping in the pharmacy and picking one up with a script? That seems pretty easy.
-
I wish the state would do this. Those N95 masks that are so hard to buy? The state should give them (sell them) to doctors and pharmacies. Have the pharmacies distribute them with insulin. Give doctors (especially endocrinologists) cases of them for the most vulnerable. Have some sort of distribution to people who really could use them. There is no reason the average under-60-year-old needs to be housebound. But, people who are immunocompromised, have diabetes, are over 70, etc should have access an N95 mask (and gloves) that might aid them against contracting COVID-19. And those people might want to stay home until the summer heat and humidity has a chance to work (for those wondering, there was a slide show at a presser a few weeks back that showed how heat and humidity kills the virus).

I am "no party affiliation." I pretty much think both sides suck. Like many, I am hoping Trump succeeds in draining the swap. What I think will happen? You will have indictments. The question I now have it: "how high up?" I am, at the moment, leaning towards pretty darned high... ex head of the FBI (Comey) and ex head of the CIA (Brennan) would be pretty darned high. Joe Biden sat in on these calls and it could taint him. He has other issues too, including China and Ukraine. He will not be charged. Obama foolishly stuck his head-up from his bunker yesterday. I never thought the man was very bright, but that was an unforced error. Was it because Durham is over target? Has Obama been interviewed? (That would be something.) Has Trump drawn him out by naming the Obama administration as the most corrupt ever? As we are seeing, Obama did have quite a bit to do with this soft-coup. Was it his idea? Was he simply read in? Exactly what did President Obama know, and when did he know it?
