Yeah, I had that in an earlier post (most counties opened for elective surgery). I am simply wondering why the rest of WNY will not open up on May 15th with most of "upstate" (and maybe they will?) I cannot come up with a reason why they need to be lumped in with Erie county. Heck, I cannot figure out why Erie county will not be opening with the rest of "upstate."

My future DIL does too. There isn't a bed shortage in Erie county. Sorry if I was unclear. I was referring to the block that included Niagara County, Cattaraugus, Chautauqua, and Wyoming counties as part of that map to still be on lock down. While none of those counties have a high population count, they also do not have a lot of hospital beds. That was all I could think of as to why they would be included with a more populous Erie county. IOW, why wouldn't those counties start to open on May 15th too?

Cuomo should be opening some counties soon. He did that to a lesser extent with elective surgeries (all the counties except the ones with major cities could have elective surgeries). This is a good map, although I am not sure about any of the WNY counties (other than Erie) having any type of problem? Maybe lack of hospital beds?

The Next Pandemic: SARS-CoV-2/COVID-19
Buffalo_Gal replied to Hedge's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
I've written several times about Newark on March 14th. What they knew then was take a temperature, see who was hacking. We did have our temperatures taken (the forehead gun) before we hit passport control. We also filled out forms as to where we had been, who we had been in contact with (COVID-19 related), and contact info (I have assumed so they could contact us if someone on our plane turned up positive, but I do not know that). Where I wrote more which also has a link to what I wrote the day we landed. -

Hey, but I was told I should listen to everything the CDC says. It isn't political! It is for your health. -

Did you read the governor.virginia.gov links? The original stay at home day was June 10th. (signed March 30th) The primaries were June 9th. He did an EO to change them to the 23rd (signed April 13th) People were having a ***** fit, and that was why. The original lock down date of the 10th, voting for House and Senate (not president) on the 9th.

I'm adjusting! I was wrong about the Presidential one. That was March 3rd. I just linked to the Governor's executive orders. The original stay at home day was June 10th. (signed March 30th) The primaries were June 9th. He did an EO to change them to the 23rd (signed April 13th) People were having a ***** fit, and that was why. The original lock down date of the 10th, voting for House and Senate (not president) on the 9th. Note: the links are from the governor.virginia.gov website. So, all square, @plenzmd1?

The Virginia Republican Party has notified the Virginia Department of Elections it will not hold a primary on March 3. President Donald Trump is running for reelection and is expected to be officially selected as the state party’s nominee at a party convention. Apparently, I read that USA Today thing waaay wrong. They canceled the March 3rd one for President. Apologies. Democratic and Republican primaries to select candidates for the U.S. House and Senate are set to take place June 9, 2020. (original) Northham changed this to June 23rd. (Commonwealth of VA EO) Original stay at home order for Virginia, signed March 30th. Remains in place until June 10th.
