  1. That is some thread. It shows why it is taking so long to go through everything. "*****ery," indeed
  2. Bernie can gather more delegates. A Federal judge says NYS has to hold the democratic primary. </snip> On Tuesday night, Douglas A. Kellner, a co-chair of the New York Board of Elections, said the board was “reviewing the decision and preparing an appeal.” And speaking on CNN, Gov. Andrew M. Cuomo said the presidential primary would proceed per the court’s ruling at least for the time being, but he noted the potential for an appeal. </snip>
  3. That salon owner will be able to pay her fine and fight her conviction if she chooses. Her go fund me is over $125k.
  4. Albacore tuna mayo tomato sunflower seeds pepper easy-peasy
  5. Trump on ABC (from Phoenix, this is not live): 70K deaths attributed to coronavirus 2K overnight 38 states opening Muir: Biggest decision is reopening the country... How do you save livelihoods without losing lives? Trump: Closing was my biggest decision. Muir: Asked about Fauci, will lives be lost? Trump: It is possible, but we will be social distancing, washing hands. People are dying the other way too. Muir: Testing... should Americans who want to go back to work, should they be allowed to have a test? Trump: Test if they want. Muir: They can have a test? Trump: They should have no problem getting a test. Muir: What did you do to restock the cupboards that you said were bare? Trump: We had things going on... Russia! Russia! Russia! then Ukraine! Ukraine! Then they impeached the President. Muir: Cuomo says how much is a human life worth? Trump: I'd have to see his full statement. Muir: Cuomo said you have to be ready to turn the valve off. Trump: We have to reopen, some people will not stand for this. We need to put out the embers. Muir: John Hopkins said the death rate could double, UofWashington, said 135K... what do you make of this? Trump: The models have been so far off... Muir: Your own numbers have shifted. Trump: They have. Muir: What should Americans be prepared for as we head into the fall and could see a second wave? Trump: It may be higher than 70K Muir: Are you convinced we will have a vaccine by the end of the year? Trump: I cannot be convinced of anything. I get reports daily. These companies are really working... Muir: Unemployment question how bad will this get? Trump: It is what it is. Even the Democrats are not blaming me for that, we had to close up the economy. Muir: These families cannot afford to wait for the next quarter. Trump: We have done a lot for that, PPP, stimulus, etc. We will probably do more. Muir: People will look back and wonder what you knew, and when you knew it. He asked him about the statement at the end of February (after saying he wasn't going to look back) Trump: We have more cases because we have the most testing. (He is showing charts on how many people have been tested.) If we only tested 1M people, we would have less confirmed cases. Muir: Was it an intelligence failure? Trump: I shut the border with China, and had to let 40K American citizen citizens back. I went against a lot of people, including Fauci, Birx, and closed the border. I do not want to be all doom and gloom. I want to be a cheerleader for our country. Muir: About the 70K people who we have lost. He did the stupid Vietnam war analogy. Trump: Chatter about we love you... no matter how well we do next year, those people can never replace someone they love. I can't sleep at night thinking about it. But, we have to get the country reopened. Nightline will have the extended interview.
  6. It was only last week they stopped the 24 hour subway trains in order to clean the subway.
  7. Weee are those guys built!
  8. I watched her routine and admired the athleticism and strength it took to perform. There are poll dancing classes (and have been for many years) to teach people to poll dance, and not for skeevy purposes. People do poll dance for exercise. However, that routine in front of little kids? Come on.
  9. Some people need to go to jail for this, and it ain't Flynn. The (non troll) comments to Undercover Huber's tweet pretty much sum up what I think about Wray with the current information available. However, one person stating Wray may have been "following rules" is a possibility.
  10. I can get my windows cleaned tomorrow!! It has been put off a number of times, first because NYS asked them to hold off "for a week," then because with the extra $600 in unemployment, he was having a tough time getting people to work for him. Building cleaning has been listed as essential, but NYS has been playing games with the cleaning services. My cleaning service told me last week they are hoping for next week, but expecting June 1. Again, this is with cleaning services listed as "essential."
  11. Well, I hope I am terribly wrong about Wray. I would gladly mea culpa if it turns out he is doing his job and not obfuscating.
  12. Sounds like China decided to insult the EU, and accept no blame. Coronavirus: China gets defensive during high-level EU event on fundraising and vaccine development * In online event featuring world leaders, Beijing offers no additional financial pledges and does not promise to make any successful vaccine a common public good * Chinese ambassador to the EU Zhang Ming, the lowest-level representative to participate, asked the world to stop the ‘blame games’ The European Union’s effort to raise new funds for developing and distributing Covid-19 vaccines has met with a cold shoulder from China, despite the bloc’s success in almost reaching its US$8 billion fundraising target. Not only was China the country that sent the lowest-level official to the online event on Monday, it also made no new financial pledges, nor promised to make any successful vaccine a common public good, as several participating countries have called for. Instead, Chinese ambassador to the EU Zhang Ming asked the world to stop the “blame games” over the coronavirus. He also outlined existing Chinese efforts, such as commercial sale of protective equipment and masks, to needy countries. “China is a responsible member of the international community, despite daunting tasks of outbreak response at home,” Zhang said. “China is doing its best to help those countries in need.” </snip> Zhang added that “panic and blame games are not useful at all” amid growing international calls – including from European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen – to investigate China’s role in the pandemic. </snip>
  13. And over in Jolly Ole England... Government scientist Neil Ferguson resigns after breaking lockdown rules to meet his married lover Prof Ferguson allowed the woman to visit him at home during the lockdown while lecturing the public on the need for strict social distancing The scientist whose advice prompted Boris Johnson to lockdown Britain resigned from his government advisory position on Tuesday night as the Telegraph can reveal he broke social distancing rules to meet his married lover. Professor Neil Ferguson allowed the woman to visit him at home during the lockdown while lecturing the public on the need for strict social distancing to reduce the spread of coronavirus. The woman lives with her husband and their children in another house. The epidemiologist leads a team at Imperial College London that produced the computer-modelled research prompting the national lockdown, which claimed more than 500,000 Britons would die without it. Prof Ferguson has frequently taken to the media to support the lockdown and praised the “very intensive social distancing” measures. </snip> On at least two occasions, Antonia Staats, 38, travelled across London from her home in the south of the capital to spend time with the Government scientist, nicknamed Professor Lockdown. The 51-year-old had only just finished a two-week spell self-isolating after testing positive for coronavirus. </snip> Prof Ferguson sat on Sage, whose advice has guided the government response during the pandemic, as well as the New and Emerging Respiratory Virus Threats Advisory Group (NERVTAG), which advises the Chief Medical Officer and the Department of Health. </snip>
  14. MTA to use ultraviolet lights to kill coronavirus on NYC subways, buses </snip> Transit officials Sunday announced plans to use powerful ultraviolet lamps to disinfect the agency’s trains, buses and work areas — a modern upgrade from the bleach and chemical sprays typically used for clean-up. The technology is a part of the Metropolitan Transportation Authority’s beefed-up cleaning efforts during the coronavirus pandemic, and was born out of a partnership with scientists at Columbia University who were previously testing UV lights as a method to quickly kill other diseases in transit systems. </snip>
