And that ladies and gentleman is why the Browns sold the farm for Watson and moved on from Mayfield.

10/20/24 Game 7 GAMEDAY Bills vs Titans post game thread
Doc Brown replied to BuffaloBill's topic in The Stadium Wall
Unfortunately, we pry don't find out until Wednesday because McDermott didn't provide jack squat in his press conference today. I didn't like that he wouldn't confirm whether the injuries to Bernard, Williams, and Samuel were "day to day." -
the Daboll/Schoen regime - on the brink, it seems
Doc Brown replied to dave mcbride's topic in The Stadium Wall
In hindsight at where that organization was with their commitment to the high pick investments in Daniel Jones and Saquon Barkley neither one of them should've taken the job in 2022. Gettleman was dumb enough to spend the 4th pick in the draft on a RB and then reach for a QB the next year in the first round. -
Geez. This thread is 15 pages long since July and I was slow to even respond until now.

If they fired Hackett instead of Saleh they pry win their last two games imo. It sends a message to the locker room that this isn't Aaron's team and the defense doesn't drop off the last two weeks when you have a d-coordinator trying to be a head coach at the same time. Thank you Woody Johnson. It was in 2022 regular season game. Good call.

Let's hope so. The Chiefs with Mahomes are 11-3 straight up when an underdog and 12-1-1 ATS. That's insane.

Deshaun Watson may be done for the season

For a lower leg injury? Ambulance would seem excessive. -
Everyone you said plus Bernard, Codrington, and Epenesa. Spencer Brown seemed to stand out on the o-line too.

I was just thinking that is there any player in the NFL besides Watson that would've been booed (home or away) after a serious injury going off the field? I'm sure it was a catharsis moment among Browns fans and a big middle finger to the owner. -
Rodgers trading for Hopkins this week?

Watson's first question to the trainers, "Does massaging an Achilles help?" -

Ironically, our next home game the Bills's body clock will tell them it's 2:00 to start the game with daylight savings time ending the night before. So, um, maybe that will take care of the problem. -

Can we start our next home game at 2:00? They've been outscored 27-3 between 1 and 2 o'clock.- 319 replies

That might have been a better strategy but you saying the Bills weren't defending the sidelines for a possible field goal attempt is where you lost me.

They knew it was going to be a Hal Mary though.

Mason Rudolph to start vs. Bills tomorrow
Doc Brown replied to Kirby Jackson's topic in The Stadium Wall
You clearly don't understand that net point differential in common games is the 8th tie breaker when it comes to playoff seeding. -
You lost me when you said McDermott wasn't worried about the field goal. He obviously was and it's why they only rushed two. The personnel and execution was the major issue.

McDermott over corrects and does a Hal Mary eight man blitz. -

Tua’s Broken Dome (now being placed on IR-out at least 4 games)
Doc Brown replied to RunTheBall's topic in The Stadium Wall
Interesting. I guess faulty data from systems like that could take some money out of player's pockets (contract negotiations) and unnecessarily remove a player from the field that feels fine. The NFL as a whole would suffer because more star players would be ruled out of games. Too much potential money lost so they're trying everything under the sun to prevent concussions besides that. -

So why wear them then? -
You're making a lot of assumptions there and all the Cardinals had to worry about was the Hal Mary as a field goal wasn't an option at that point. If are blitzers are ineffective he could've stepped up and have a 65 yard throw or so without falling backwards. I remember Greg Williams getting roasted against the Jets for a cover zero blitz (sending seven) against the Raiders where Carr was somehow able to step up in the pocket and throw a strike to a WR single covered. Plus, if he did blitz seven and he threw a quick pass to the sidelines to get us in field goal range McDermott would absolutely be criticized.

The Cardinals tried that in the playoffs against him. Didn't work out too well. Granted it was eight or so years ago.

Week 7 - Titans at Bills Game Week Thread
Doc Brown replied to BillsFan619's topic in The Stadium Wall
Mason Rudolph and I'd prefer Levis. I suddenly am getting a little nervous about this game.
