The last time we wore these we were coming off a loss and playing in a dome where we got beat by Houston. Good decision guys. Some people love black licorice and pineapple pizza too. It really doesn't bother me but I'll never understand it.

If the Steelers lose to the Eagles and then win out their strength of victory will be higher than ours and conference record would be the same. That's assuming we lose to the Lions and sweep the rest of the season. Our conference record would also be identical. If they can beat the Ravens, Chiefs, and Bengals than they deserve the two seed anyways.

There goes all of Beane's leverage for the conditional 7th round pick in 2027 for Elam that Beane was going to try and pull off this off-season.

Whatever. It's still light years better than a four team playoff.

Where was the defensive adjustment on Puka Nakua?
Doc Brown replied to 26TrapDraw's topic in The Stadium Wall
I knew somebody would crack the code of McDermott's zone heavy defense eventually. It only took seven and a half seasons. -
What do you have against Sam Monson?

Bills record in one score games including playoffs under McDermott: 2017: 6-3 2018: 3-3 2019: 4-6 2020: 6-1 2021: 0-6 2022: 7-3 2023: 7-7 2024: 3-2 Overall: 35-31 Bills don't lose often. When they do it's usually in one score games where every coaching decision will usually be ignored if the Bills win but magnified if the Bills lose. It's just the way it is when you're a perennial contender.

"Coach. You know if we went for two after every touchdown we'd have won by four." "Yes Josh. You give me that stat every week no matter the score."

Plus, by volunteering at his press conference that they only had nine men on the field he subtly threw Smiley under the bus.

There used to be this joke that the Eagles should have a relief coach come in for Reid in the final five minutes in the game. I wonder what he did personally to get much better at it or did he hire someone?

That was pry his best game plan (plus give credit to Flores) in his career at least in all his Super Bowls as a coach and coordinator. That includes his game plan against us in '91 and the Rams in '01 (especially with the cheating). It's also why I can't stand the sentiment among some people that Belichick was nothing without Brady.

An absolute disaster by the coaches at the end of this game

Yeah. He got back to what he does best. Destroying Bills coaches. -

The defense is definitely more concerning but they usually respond well when they lay an egg in the McDermott era so I'm not going to overreact. They have a chance next week to quickly reverse the narrative. Credit to Stafford and Nacua though as they played phenomenally with their season on the line. I agree that Smiley isn't a good special teams coordinator and shouldn't hold the title. -
You'd think they'd find a way to make Elam active on game day if he's their first option if Douglas or Benford get hurt. It tells me they don't think the playing gap between Elam and Ingram is that different.

It definitely should've been four pass play calls at maximum to the end zone. The only way you can justify it is Allen is usually money with those QB sneaks so Brady/Allen/McDermott thought there was no way in hell they weren't sneaking it in for a TD there. Rams defense made a great play. It would've been much better if it was first and goal from the 4 instead of from the 1.

I wasn't surprised Brady abandoned the run as quickly as he did. Brady does an excellent job of "reading the room" when calling plays. He knew what kind of game this was. You don't handcuff your all world talented QB who is on a heater. Especially when your defense can't cover a stationary wall with paint. I'm sure there's many owners licking their chops hoping to hire him as head coach this off-season.

I'm not an expert but I think someone should tell the Bills defense to play better in this one.

The only way that happens after this year is if Josh threatens to request a trade.
-
I'm just saying let's not have that mistake distract us from the egregious use of a timeout that took away any reasonable shot we had at the game.
-
Funny but the odds of a blocked punt or punt return for a TD were slim there. It was practically over when they called the time out on the failed QB sneak on 1st and goal.

12/8/24 Game 14 GAMEDAY! Bills vs Rams Game day Thread
Doc Brown replied to Chandler#81's topic in The Stadium Wall
Quentin Morris out too? Might be a more pass heavy game plan. -
I'm guessing you mean 3.1m on the money line at -700. It's a 442k payout. Scared money doesn't make money but he's definitely sweating it now. LOL.
