  1. NBA and NHL don't quite live up to their name either. Agree. The networks are pry already fighting over that game and it won't be any earlier than a 4:15 game (10:30pm) Germany time.
  2. Yup. That's how Vince Lombardi and Tom Landry got their start too I believe.
  3. They have processing speed tasks on all the major cognitive tests that are quick and easy to administer. I always thought that would be more useful than a mini SAT which is what the Wonderlic is.
  4. Thanks for making us all feel better.
  5. Mahomes, Burrow, and Stafford also didn't get a vote. It's a regular season award. Rodgers and Brady put up better numbers with their team winning their respective divisions. BTW, I guess the woke mob Rodgers claimed wouldn't vote for him are still asleep.
  6. Eh. Kolb said something similar and we just laughed.
  7. He's pry their second best o-lineman behind Williams right now which is being like the second smartest Baldwin brother. It's the three players to the right of him that are a disaster. All my money is now on the Rams.
  8. One less home game for the Chiefs or Pats is fine with me. Bonus if we get to play them there.
  9. We’re going to have to agree to disagree. The way that game was going the ‘85 Bears defense wasn’t stopping them. We pay good money to have one of the best coverage units in the NFL. Give Mahomes/Kelce/Hill as little time as possible.
  10. I don’t even think it was supposed to be a squib kick but a kick landing around the 10 yard line. Wires got crossed. I can live with Mahomes/Kelce/Hill getting down their with three timeouts despite only 13 seconds. They’re stars that had perfect execution. There’s no justification in punting it through the end zone. See ya Farwell.
  11. Pretty cool interview. Talks about "circle the wagons," 49ers Bills predictions, and his relationship with the people of WNY. Sorry if posted already. Starts at 5:38.
  12. He’s got them by the balls. He’s doing what Lamar should’ve done last offseason. -They built their offense around him and basically wasted a first round pick the year before which they traded up for. -They’re in the best division in the NFC where if you don’t have a top qb you’re screwed. -He’s proven himself enough where he can demand top dollar. -He has the trump card in threatening to go play for the A’s and retire.
  13. So the Texans finish 4-13 and think "let's fire the head coach and promote from within." Lovie went 8-24 as the Bucs head coach and 17-39 as Liberty's head coach. The Texans defense ranked 31st in yards allowed last year. This is the worst hire of the nine openings and makes no sense whatsoever.
  14. Do you see Sean McVay or Kyle Shanahan as intimidating (?) because their respective teams won the NFC three of the last four years. More than one way to skin a cat.
  15. Didn’t ESPN carry that game?
  16. You're correct. I should've been more clear. Beane also didn't trade up and grab one either. Regardless, that comment was telling in what he thinks of Jackson and why I think they'll move on from Wallace if his price tag really is that high. With White, Poyer, Hyde, and T. Johnson signing extensions they already have a lot invested in their secondary. My guess is they let him walk if some team does give him nine million or more per year.
  17. They did but I think they like Jackson enough to take his place. Beane said at his press conference he didn't think a CB in the 2nd round of last year's draft would be an upgrade over Dane. If Wallace commands nine million a year then this will pry be the first real difficult loss of the McBeane era. Then they'll either draft a CB and/or sign a veteran CB for depth. They need as much cap room as possible over the next couple of years to extend Edmunds, Oliver, Knox, Diggs, and possibly Phillips.
  18. My guess is each black individual has their own opinion on the matter.
  19. He's the only Canadian born head coach I believe. That's got to be worth at least a 4th rounder.
  20. We're not even in the offseason yet.
  21. I wonder if they can lure Peyton Manning into the booth with Al. Aikman is too wooden for my liking. I like Kevin Harlan.
  22. Seems that way. Gannon and McCown (white) were the reported front runners. Now it's between Lovie and Flores. Dysfunctional franchises do dysfunctional things.
  23. Down to Lovie Smith and Brian Flores apparently. I'm sure the Texans will get this right.
  24. He was a ball boy with the Broncos when he was in high school as his mom married a member of the Broncos video staff. When he graduated from Yale Mike Shanahan hired him as an intern for his technical expertise.
  25. The Rooney rule is working.
