  1. It's crazy to think he was a healthy scratch early in the year and now it would be a loss if we didn't re-sign him. I'm pretty confident they'll get a deal done.
  2. Correlation does not equal causation . For example, nine out of the last ten recessions happened under a Republican president despite relatively similar economic policies.
  3. Uggghhhh. Don’t like it given his unique skill set. He’s worth his current contract and some team will pay him at least that.
  4. That 75% is optimistic. Unfortunately, once we lose a pro football team we’ll never get it back so the Pegula’s had all the leverage.
  5. He'd be a great signing. Besides that T. White body slam has there been any other incidents of similar behavior? When Knox went out there was a significant downgrade to Sweeney. You always want to shoot for more depth if you can afford it. Just look at the Rams. We were saying did they really need OBJ knowing they already had Kupp and Woods? Then Woods gets hurt and the Rams pry don't make and win the SB without him.
  6. Then punters would change their punt projectory and value distance over hang time.
  7. Then a qb hungry team signs him for 40 million plus with one less year of wear and tear. You’d essentially help him.
  8. That's not quite what I got from the article. All that was said is they want to go through the same process they used to make kickoffs safer by having a similar committee look at all aspects of the play. That doesn't necessarily mean less returns although that probably will be proposed.
  9. So you'd pay him 5.4 million to do nothing for a season and then let him walk in free agency getting nothing in return?
  10. Seems so odd that they're going through all this trouble trying to weatherproof an open air stadium when they can simply build a dome. Just get it done though as we're lucky to have a team.
  11. Lamar should’ve done this last year. At least with him, Allen, Mahomes, and Herbert you know the intangibles are top notch. Murray - not so much.
  12. It can't beat this one. I didn't see this in LA.
  13. The only problem is these idiots don't seem to realize this happened in 2020. https://www.nfl.com/photos/top-10-photos-of-the-year#d0030c41-c06b-45c4-8125-625f3b2611b3 Should've went with this one.
  14. Agree with all of this but it should be pointed out the Rams have been better than anybody at finding steals in day two and three of the draft over that time period too. Almost half their starters on offense and defense are day two or three picks since McVay got there. That's obviously going to need to continue.
  15. Watkins would break all the Bills WR records. Merriman was a steal in free agency. Shady would be a locker room cancer. Trump would buy the Bills and move them to Vegas. Wanted Hue Jackson to replace Marrone.
  16. That WC game was good weather. Cold but little wind or precipitation. If you sat through the ‘08 Giants game to the very end and still prefer open air I’ll take your opinion seriously.
  17. Five letter last name that started with a b.
  18. Brian Brohm has Tom Brady like qualities.
  19. Darnold basically holds all the leverage then. There's no reason for him to take a new contract that pays him below 18.9m next year. My guess is the Panthers draft a rookie and Darnold is their starter while the rookie learns.
  20. Thanks. I thought the Panthers could just convert most of his guaranteed salary into a signing bonus and the new team would only have to pay the veteran minimum. Why they picked up the 5th year option in the first place is beyond me.
  21. Impressive resume. Will be interested in the confirmation process. This was happening anyways.
  22. Then you're looking at Kelce/Kittle money. At least 15 million a year. Pry more adjusted for inflation. If you're Knox right now and Beane offers you a three year 29.5 million dollar extension (8m average annual for the next four years), do you take it?
  23. The Panthers pry aren't cutting him. If they did I'd definitely be interested. For the cap experts out there......if we were to float a 6th round pick for Darnold could the Panthers pay out his entire guaranteed 5th year option?
  24. Funny you bring up Brady. Do you think him and the Pats would've gotten to and won all those Super Bowls if they had to play a Josh Allen led Bills team twice every season? No. They cruised to the division title almost every year ensuring they only had to win two games to get to the Super Bowl. Usually with home field advantage. The best QB competition the AFC East fielded during those years was maybe Chad Pennington? Drew Bledsoe? If you want to maximize your chances at multiple Super Bowl's during Allen's prime you're going to need a little luck. Having three bad to mediocre teams with middling QB's in your division increases the chances of us going to the Super Bowl.
