UPDATED - v3.0 (FINAL) on p.13 - Gunner's 2023 Mock Draft
Doc Brown replied to GunnerBill's topic in The Stadium Wall
I really like this mock and the rationale behind it. A couple of thoughts. I could see Tennessee taking Levis at #11. I'm not sure Gonzalez drops out of the top 10. Also, if the board plays out that way I think either Campbell or Sanders is the pick for the Bills. Most likely Campbell. -
Will DeAndre Hopkins be available this offseason?

Worst WR class since the Lincoln administration. -

Pull the string Beane. This WR draft class is trash. -
Bears Raiders Lions

This WR class is just so underwhelming that I don't think given where we pick would be much of an upgrade of what we have right now. Next year's class has to be better. Right? I'm thinking more long term with Josh anyways. I'd prefer a tackle that can play both sides and push Spencer Brown for his job. Maybe eventually take over for Dion Dawkins. My ideal first three picks would be something along the lines of Wright in the first, Campbell or Sanders in the 2nd, and then maybe take a chance on someone like Mauch (assuming Avilia is off the board) in the 3rd. Kick him inside to develop as a guard.

Agreed. I’d rather them not take a WR at all this year until day three if it means you draft o-line with two of the top three picks. Protecting Josh allows average receivers to eventually get open using their own unique skills to find a way. It’s no accident Josh’s best season came when the o-line pass protection was the strongest.

He signed the richest safety contract ever at the time so it's hard to argue he's underrated. I'm just hoping if he is traded it's to an NFC team. Poyer is one season removed from a first team all pro and he only carries a cap hit of 4.85 million. About 1/3rd of what it would cost for Baker.
-
Congrats on that glass half full perspective. Diggs is almost 30. Davis has been underwhelming as WR2 who's in the last year of his contract. We should be looking to draft a future Diggs replacement who can play on the outside as the WR2 in the meantime. Unfortunately, this WR draft class is abhorrent.

So, a defense is relevant as ours couldn't even hold the Chiefs to under 30 in our last two playoff losses against them. I'd watch the draft on a cheap TV if I were you.

With the 96th pick the Cardinals select Jordan Battle, S, Alabama With Budda Baker demanding a trade the need for a young safety becomes more pressing. The Cardinals are ready for the battle. The Commanders @Alphadawg7are on the clock.

Budda Baker is available for trade I guess because I charge them for food or something. Will take a late 3rd rounder and eat three million of his salary.

TSW Mock Draft Poll - Who Should the Bills select at #91
Doc Brown replied to Virgil's topic in The Stadium Wall
So if it’s a tie we get both. -
There's your Taylor Heineke replacement.
-
No. My guess is they just need a veteran replacement for Duke Johnson to ride the practice squad until there's an injury. We've been pretty lucky with the lack of RB injuries now that I think of it. We'll find out if Murray is willing to accept that role at this stage in his career.
-
He's an upgrade of who we have on the roster at TE2 right now though so it should at least be considered given the Bills pick is around where the consensus ranking of him is.
-
Brugler came out with his annual draft rankings on The Athletic today and had Tucker Kraft as his TE5 and 51st overall. Consensus big board has him at #70 right now. Saw him mocked to the Bengals a few times at pick #60. He might be a play for the Bills if he's available.
-
There's a TE that deserves consideration in my opinion that I could see the Bills taking late in the 2nd if he falls to us imo. Drafting a DE in the 2nd round is what Beane loves to do though and fans may riot if that happens. Also, should there be a a RB option in the poll?
-
He seems to be more of a San Francisco type personality too. Wishing this into existence.
-
With the 46th selection the Cardinals select Steve Avilia, G, TCU We need to make protecting our midget a priority and we had Cody Ford starting at guard last year. Avilia also has positional flexibility to hike it to our midget if need be. The Commanders @Alphadawg7are on the clock.

My gut tells me that OBJ's agent leaked to NFL Network that OBJ to the Jets was close to a done deal pending a physical on Monday. Ravens may have gone all Jimmy Haslam and got desperate so they panicked to match his asking price of 15 million guaranteed. Glad he's not on the Jets on around an 8 million dollar deal like I assumed was going to happen.

From WR7 to WR1 to one of the best in the NFL
Doc Brown replied to BillsFan619's topic in The Stadium Wall
Injuries derailed his career after he left Buffalo as Rivers was way better than Fitz. I agree that his unorthodox route running helped him easily beat press coverage and helped him three peat with those 1000 yard seasons. -
I'm pretty sure that was above the 1.77 million threshold Beane was willing to pay.

With the 34th selection, the Arizona Cardinals select Kelee Ringo, DB, Georgia Drummed up enough support internally to take a chance at a CB prospect in Ringo with excellent size, physicality, and speed that fits well in the Cardinals zone heavy scheme. Love his physicality and tackling ability. Also matches up well with bigger WR’s and TE’s in man coverage. The Colts @CNYfan are on the clock.
