If the Raiders draft Jeanty at #6 it would be $6.5m/season. It would cost the Cowboys $4.1m per season at #12. Would you rather sign Cook for maybe double or triple that, save the pick, and give up say a 3rd? I wouldn't do it but they know they have a sure thing in Cook. Plus, to answer your questions it's the Raiders and the Cowboys.

Nobody will give up a 2nd round pick and then pay a RB way more than he's worth. Unless Al Davis is still alive.

What? If tariffs are even? What are you talking about? If you want to squeeze out China the goal should be to build a durable and dependable supply chain that reduces our reliance on China. A universal 10% tariff on other countries and for some reason a 35% tariff on Canadian lumber for example is antithetical to squeezing out China.

Auto groups lobby Trump administration against parts tariffs in rare unified message Six of the top policy groups representing the U.S. automotive industry are uncharacteristically joining forces to lobby the Trump administration against 25% tariffs on auto parts that are set to take effect by May 3. The group – representing franchised dealers, suppliers and nearly all major automakers – say in a letter to Trump administration officials that the upcoming levies could jeopardize U.S. automotive production. The letter notes many auto suppliers are already “in distress” and wouldn’t be able to afford the additional cost increases, leading to broader industry problems. “Most auto suppliers are not capitalized for an abrupt tariff induced disruption. Many are already in distress and will face production stoppages, layoffs and bankruptcy,” the letter reads. “It only takes the failure of one supplier to lead to a shutdown of an automaker’s production line. When this happens, as it did during the pandemic, all suppliers are impacted, and workers will lose their jobs.”

Take that Canada.

Hollywood Brown same year as AJ Brown. Must be a Brown thing.

Wait. Are these voluntary of involuntary? I don't really pay attention until training camp.
-
No. It doesn't. All it does is increase the number of extremists on both sides and makes regular Americans extremely cynical/skeptical of the political process.
-
Just don't work out if you skip the voluntary workouts and you'll be fine I guess.

All it does by you calling him a fascist is raise the temperature in the room and makes reasonable people less likely to take your opinion seriously.
-
Fascist? A bit hyperbolic. Should the executive branch have this much power? No. Is Trump a fascist? No. Yes it does. Eliminating tariffs completely works even better.
-
Which they will be successful at doing unless Trump lifts the tariff policy on other countries.

Problem is he can't do two things at once. His messaging has been awful. If the goal is to isolate China then the best way to do that is to remove all the tariffs Trump imposed on other countries and pass tariff legislation making Chinese tariffs permanent unless certain concessions are met. If the goal is to bring manufacturing jobs and businesses back to the US then he again needs legislation passed through Congress so businesses know this tariff policy is permanent so they can make long term business decisions to invest in America.

Those long Saturday and Sunday's will not be missed by me. Too much information at once. Love the way they have it set up now. More time to reflect what happened after the first round and GM's can then re calibrate how they want to attack rounds 2 and 3. I'm a night owl though so I can understand why people don't want to wait until midnight for the Thursday draft to be over.

This is very sad but I'm wondering who the next pope might be. Just here me out.......

Just tell Tre White to play like he did in 2020. Problem solved.

Kind of disappointing as I always pictured Josh chipping and putting with a driver.

Using Beane’s past 7 drafts to try and predict 2025 picks
Doc Brown replied to LEBills's topic in The Stadium Wall
That's kind of interesting as Coleman who was basically a 1st round pick who is only 20. It makes sense as they think they can still develop those players. Makes me wonder how they view Amos, Revel, and Barren who are all 23. -
Return of the Tre! (Tre White signs with the Bills)
Doc Brown replied to FireChans's topic in The Stadium Wall
Watch out for Chase Young. I'm more worried about Lamar than Thomas? I do agree that not trying to upgrade at CB2 is a huge mistake though. Plus, as good as Benford played last year he wasn't quite as good as prime Tre White. The Bills used to get away with Levi Wallace at outside CB2 because of the safety tandem of Hoyer and Poyd along with Trey White's all pro play opposite him. We don't have that anymore. It was painfully obvious down the stretch last year as Douglas struggled and high powered offenses like the Dolphins (2nd match up), Rams, Lions, and ultimately the Chiefs in the playoffs. Finishing 27th on defense on opponents 3rd down conversion % is just a lack of talent on the D-line and secondary. If the Bills took a defender with every pick in this draft I'd be fine with it. What's the glaring weakness on our offense? A TE3? -
The Athletic ranks each teams quality of drafting
Doc Brown replied to Einstein's topic in The Stadium Wall
Agreed. Just happened to be the same draft class at the same position. You don't cancel out the Cody Ford bust because we drafted Spencer Brown. Zach Moss with James Cook. Boogie Basham with Groot. Jack Fromm with Josh Allen (I kid). This article really just confirms in the last five years that Beane and company overall has been good but not great in the draft. A lot of singles and doubles. Few strikeouts or home runs. -

A very good but not elite grade. Shocking. Benford was a better value than Shakir. Chic-fil-A diet > TB12 diet -
I meant to say "it did" after re-reading your comment. Lol. Those Canadians need to pay.

Add a rookie CB and I think either Ingram or Jackson gets cut. -
They did but when you shut the economy down there really isn't an alternative to what the CARES act tried to accomplish. It was a bipartisan bill too. Something similar to the American Rescue Act would've also been pushed by Trump to be fair if he was reelected and the Republicans would sell their souls again to pass it. However, Biden was in office it was a party line vote. It was just too bloated to think it wouldn't have significant inflationary effects. He's always been pro NATO.
