Cooper Kupp agrees with your assessment.

Eastport and newcam sum it up the best as far as responding to the OP. It's the way I feel. We're all different and this board would be pretty boring if we didn't have different opinions on that "spectrum". And in some regards there's something to take out of what Dr K and Augie say. It's just so incredibly hard at my age to keep the "wait till next year" montra going. I'm not going to be around forever and neither is Josh. But I also can't let it give me ulcers and effort the other good things in my life. Maybe I just need to check myself in to "Buffalo Bills therapy".......

Stefon Diggs - “I watched the game five times”

I double dawg dare you to smoke a bowl with me. Then you'll really get some clarity. -
Stefon Diggs - “I watched the game five times”
LABILLBACKER replied to BillsFan619's topic in The Stadium Wall
I think both Josh and Stefon need to ask for a meeting with Beane and Sean. They need to be able to express their concerns. Maybe bring up the FACT that they're sick and tired of seeing the defense get all the spoils. And then these 2 guys are asked to cover up all the mistakes made defensively. Jesus.....they need help. This has been an ongoing problem ignored by McB for over 3 years. Upgrade the damn OL. Upgrade the damn running game. Upgrade the damn wrs not named Diggs. And maybe the most important thing to save " both your damn jobs" is Upgrade the damn coordinators. -
Stefon Diggs - “I watched the game five times”

I agree with everything you said but the biggest and first question that needs to be answered is who really runs this team? Beane or McDermott? Once you accurately answer that, you can start the job of fixing the issues. -
Brian was able to quickly identify Josh's early flaws and reel him back in. You definitely have to give Dabs credit for molding Josh into the qb who practically pitched 2 perfect games in the playoffs. Dorsey has been more of an intoxicating OC allowing more hero ball Josh to seep back in. I naively assumed Ken would practice more Daboll-isms but it never materialized. I think in a year or 2 when the dust settles, we might see a Ben Johnson type taking over.

Stefon Diggs - “I watched the game five times”

Yes I'd probably include Hyde, Poyer, Von....but that's about it....doesn't mean we don't have players who want to win but these 6 are dawgs, warriors. -

This team has 3 players whom I would never question their heart or passion to win. Josh, Stefon and Matt. These are the type of players you build around, not ever get rid of.- 189 replies

Trevon Diggs trying to get his brother in Dallas
LABILLBACKER replied to 78thealltimegreat's topic in The Stadium Wall
No one should ever deny Stefon's passion for winning a SB. He wants it for his teammates and the community. Maybe somehow he's questioning the abilities of these coaches and frankly I don't blame him. And now Josh might be in the middle of it. -
This narrative about our top 5 regular season defense is an illusion. And it has been for these last 4 seasons. It doesn't ever translate to the playoffs. I'm investing 75% of my cap and draft capital on offense. I'm tired of waiting for this top5 defense to ever play top5 in high leverage playoff games. On a side note I'm signing Vander Esch for 2-3 M/ yr. He had the exact same 2022 AV as Edmunds. This is a no brainer.

Trevon Diggs trying to get his brother in Dallas

JSN's college YAC ability is elite. Some concerns for his deep speed. He's projected to come in around 4.49 at the combine. But that Rose Bowl game was impressive. Would have no problem with him at 27 unless Johnston falls. Boutte will be another to follow. -
Apparently Vegas doesn't agree the Bills are done...
LABILLBACKER replied to eball's topic in The Stadium Wall
Ever since watching the infamous NE wind game I realized this Bills team was not built to win in their own weather. That includes wind, rain and snow. We just don't play and Josh doesn't throw like it's an advantage. I was praying for a dome regardless of how butt hurt the hard cores would feel. And obviously that ship has sailed. The coordinators are a major problem. Events like 13 seconds and 3rd & 4 usually gets someone fired. I think the clock is ticking on Leslie as Holcomb being hired. If you bend something long enough eventually it breaks. And Dorsey definitely looked like a "deer in the headlights" with multiple wrs in the same area, no hot reads and too many bombs. Diggs telling Josh to stop listening to him is pretty concerning. This is Sean's team. He's the CEO. He hired or promoted these guys. He's responsible for fixing this. -

This is something you gotta consider. I love the chemistry Josh has with Stef but we all saw the confrontation. Love to keep Diggs thru his contract and somehow land Quentin Johnston. Diggs just needs to calm down and prepare for this fall. And Dorsey must Re-evaluate his offense. If not I'll be slamming down his headset. -
Daboll/Hodgins - Does their success bother you?
LABILLBACKER replied to Virgil's topic in The Stadium Wall
I just wish we could hit on picks like KC does. I have no control over coaching and I know Andy will always outcoach Sean in a playoff game. We just have to stop drafting decent players like Hodgins & Teller, only to allow them to move on. -
Daboll/Hodgins - Does their success bother you?
LABILLBACKER replied to Virgil's topic in The Stadium Wall
I never understood it. What was this obsession with guys like Kumerow or Gentry. Why did we allow Hodgins to get poached while we kinda panic returning Bease & Smoke. Shakir is hardly allowed to develop? So many odd decisions. -
Yeah, you gotta take him if he falls. He's supposed to be gone mid 1st. Singletary is out the door anyway. This would pivot us into taking WR @ 59. Then pray there's a couple good olineman in the next 2 picks. RB, WR, OL, OL...yes please.

LABILLBACKER replied to eball's topic in The Stadium Wall
I totally agree. There's still plenty of time for this organization to make improvements to the offense. Plenty of time for the defensive coaches to adjust philosophy. Plenty of time for Ken to actually create an offensive identity. Plenty of time for Brandon to have a great off-season. Stop expecting Josh to do it all and do the right thing. We're not done nor is anyone panicking but it would be naive to believe we don't have reason for concern. -

Great post Alphadawg. Somebody who discusses issues with common sense. How refreshing. Nobody says we're done. With Josh running around making ridiculous plays we're pretty much guaranteed 10 wins every year. The problem lies how do we get to that next level. We need better coaching. We need better GM decisions. We need healthy players. We need a season where the world isn't crashing down on the team in 10 different ways. We need luck. We're not done but we're hardly the SB favorites. -
How do the Bills win the Super Bowl next year?
LABILLBACKER replied to QB Bills's topic in The Stadium Wall
I agree with everything you proposed. Getting McB to agree will be a completely different challenge altogether. -

....along with that Vegas recently received an authentication code guaranteeing Gabe never drops a pass again.
