Trading up in the 1st to get a RB is a good way to get fired. With it already being 50/50 Beane still has a job after this season, I wouldn’t rule it out entirely. Desperate, cornered animals do unpredictable things.
A LB at our spot without first trading into the 2nd would be a pretty awful choice. Let’s hope Beane doesn’t draft for desperate immediate need like the other years.
Any deviation from a plan to draft multiple OL (3 or more) and we’ll all be here exactly a year from now demanding McBeane be fired. OL needs to be the STRENGTH of this team to have a shot at a SB.
There’s multiple issues now. Lamar has to find the solution to this problem:
How do I accept an offer to be the 8th or 9th highest paid QB without looking like a total idiot?
I don’t think he can. He so dug in and the embarrassment would be out of this world. I suspect he’s too embarrassed and shamed to even face the Ravens at this point.
That’s exactly where we are and I think he’s probably fine with it. If he can’t make it work this season then he should be gone. He will go down with that soft scheme if he has to.
I’ve been saying the same thing, especially if he sits next season. His career would probably be over and he would be shadow-banned by owners. This isn’t looking good at all.
Most people keep acting like he’ll eventually get what he wants and I’m not sure why.
I think the Ravens are praying someone trades for him but it doesn’t look like it’s going to happen. At that point they’re basically screwed and he will probably sit or the Ravens could make an example out of him and just bench him. It could get ugly.
I said 2 years ago that the Jackson experiment in Baltimore was coming to a close and I still believe that. That first Bills game made their decision for them. That was his ceiling.
It’s time to move on before they all get fired.
