We don’t have anyone on the staff that can identify future defensive line talent. At this point we have to outscore everyone and load up the offense. It probably won’t be enough to win it anyway but it’s our last option. Josh would certainly request a trade if nothing is done. A man can only take so much. So yeah, we’re likely facing a wildcard exit the next 2 years while our new linemen and WR’s get acclimated to the game, and that’s if they’re any good which is doubtful going by previous drafts. We aren’t close.

Well, that definitely isn’t happening. I would expect the “draft for immediate need” to hit overdrive this time around since his job depends on it. He might even pull a Ralph and draft a Spiller type player/shiny new toy to distract the fans. Desperation time.

I agree with this. This will be the year where it all comes apart for this regime. I wish we could fast-forward and get it over with. JAX will likely beat us and officially pass us as a top AFC team. Better players…better coaching. Our trajectory is going down and there’s is going up. Our window is shut with this coaching staff and core group of players. It’s time to start the rebuild. What bothers me most about him is his game preparation for important games. His entire career is dismal. His defenses never ever show up ready. 2. We had just gone through 20 years of hiring washed up retreads and they hand us Frazier???? It doesn’t get more retread than that. Terrible hire right out of the gate. It was at least 10 years since anyone had heard Frazier’s name until we hired him. How did he even make the short list to be hired in the first place?

My enthusiasm died when they hired him. This man has been torturing me for years now. Always knowing deep down that it won’t ever be good enough. Why are they doing this?

How could Jeff George and Jake Plummer not be on that list?

Rumor has it that MCD is going to employ a new system designed to prevent injuries that will feature our secondary playing 5 yards deeper. I think this could work.

This is very similar to Tampa with Dungy. Everyone liked Dungy. Everyone also knew that they had to fire him to get better. They did that and immediately won a SB with a QB named Brad Johnson. That’s how bad Dungy’s offense was. Lots of similarities here.

We would need McD “hands off” on defense and an entirely different scheme with different players. I think they need to make the decision fast and decide if Tremaine Edmunds could fit whatever defense is coming in. If nothing happens and they pay Edmunds, we’ve just set ourselves back another 2 years. That would officially close our window with Josh. He would then leave. They could turn this around tho. It isn’t rocket science. 1 down year and be right back in it.
