You often hear Trumpers say that the pandemic killed Donald. What those people fail to realize is that any other president/politician would’ve used that crises to their advantage and had numbers in the mid 60’s going into Election Day with good leadership. Nope. Not Trump. He did every single thing wrong the entire way through. He sabotaged his own election. Team Trump knew he was toast. All of their internal polling said that. No one on that campaign was surprised that he lost. The only state they didn’t poll correctly was Georgia. They knew Pennsylvania was gone long before Election Day came.

I think you need to surround yourself with better people. I haven’t heard a single person on the street say anything negative about Biden yet.

Approval rating polls are usually much more accurate than other polls. It’s kinda hard to screw those up. Polls by Scott Rasmussen in the final week before an election are usually accurate. I believe he had it 51-47, which I think was exactly right. Rasmussan Reports had it tied.

There’s multiple Ras companies. Ras reports is a terrible pollster. Scott’s polls are better. People get confused by that.

Ras has him at 54, so with my personal experience with polling and campaigns, that means they have him at no less than 58.

What should the break down be?

Receiving foreign money illegally and not paying taxes on that money because you can’t list it in your taxes is tax fraud. There will be other charges but that’s the one that will send him away for awhile.

Multiple polls at 62-63 percent. Averages are moving on up. His ceiling might be slightly higher than I guessed. It could be 65-66. He’s eating into Trump’s base now.

When did Trump get over 50 percent?

Really, the only way to fix our political system is to: 1. Move strictly to a public financing system. Each candidate gets the same to spend, same amount of tv time, same amount of direct mail ads, etc. That also has to extend to social media, etc. 2. Enforce a 2 week blackout rule like France does. Make it illegal to discuss the campaign ANYWHERE in the final 2 weeks. 3. Overturn Citizens United. 4. Create broad digital laws.

If I was a Trump supporter, I’d be a little freaked out. The data foreign countries and firms have on them is ENORMOUS! They know where you live. They know where your kids go to school. They know if you believe Hillary eats babies. Its one thing for the American government to know these things. It’s entirely different for foreign countries and who knows who else to have this data and be sold to whoever wants it.

Obama was the first one to assemble huge digital voter mailing lists. Now all candidates do that. For example, Hillary likely purchased or used Obama’s voter data list, and Biden likely used some of Bernie’s list after Bernie lost, so they could target their voters. Thats how it works these days.

They’ve improved each cycle. I would have to go back and refresh myself on what Trump needed Russia to do that American firms couldn’t legally do, but they basically shared all of the internal polling data with each other and targeted certain voters to climb back in the race in Pa, Mich, etc., in the last 2 weeks. Trump wasn’t able to do most of those things the second time around, so Cyber Command was on the ball.

What was new in 2016 was Russia’s and Cambridge Analytica’s help with the micro-targeting. Thats why Manafort sent them polling from specific places so they knew exactly where to target in the final weeks. Since then, Republican firms have adopted Russia’s model and used it in 2020. Were both parties doing it in 2016? No. Are they both doing something similar now? Dunno. I can’t answer that.
