  1. I could see a scenario where we miss out on other FA’s and just grab a TE to save face a bit. I wouldn’t hate it but I definitely don’t want to spend on one that we’re not absolutely sure has a few years left and can help with Josh’s development. It’s risky.
  2. If we don’t snag some of our other FA targets, maybe Henry would/should be the way to go. Being that they still haven’t given up on Knox, it would probably be Ertz tho.
  3. Yeah. If Knox doesn’t work out, there isn’t much we can do. If they feel our window is the next 3 years we can’t really draft another TE. just ask the Detroit Lions. Didn’t they draft top 10 TE’s 2 or 3 years in a row and not one of them was impactful in their time with the team. Any upgrade for us would have to be a FA.
  4. I could be in charge of hanging motivational signs around the locker room. My first one will read, “It’s all about the pressures.”
  5. I figured the “built-in” excuses would come late night. OMG guys, did you see all of those “pressures” we had this season? Pressures? We did all of this “without this and that.” Well, isn’t that the problem? You’re not supposed to be “without” a bunch of things. That usually means that your team has a bunch of holes. I don’t remember them announcing that we’d be rolling with a “declined” defense. In fact, everyone said the defense would be improved.
  6. I’ll let him know you’ll be running the draft this year.
  7. Rumor on Twitter is that he thinks Diggs is a b***h for whining and leaving but there’s no telling. I’m sure you’ll see the story floating around. One of the Podcast guys had it.
  8. Yeah. I don’t think there’s any reason to think Star can still play. That’s another hole.
  9. I totally agree. I didn’t think Hughes would still be on the team last season. I expected to already have upgraded there.
  10. My GF and I are both UNCW alums and have a soft spot for Beane, but man, we really need to get this off-season and draft right with surgical precision or I fear we could take a substantial step backwards next season.
  11. I really don’t know. Would adding an elite DE tell us everything else we need to know about the others? I sure hope so. I also hope the model is different because if Beane thought Singleterry and Miss were going to be the next DeAngelo Williams/Jonathon Stewart 1-2 punch, he missed by a mile on that one. I don’t know what’s going on there but it isn’t funny anymore.
  12. Would an elite edge guy make that happen? Maybe. But it would have to be a Mack type player. I think we need to find out, and quickly.
  13. I really just don’t see it. I think the offense was obviously playing over their heads and the coaching did a great job of hiding the lack of talent on defense. I lived in Carolina all of those years and there’s no resemblance at all. Who is the Julius Peppers of this defense? Who is the Charles Johnson of this defense? Those D lines were absolutely dominant. We don’t have ANY of those pieces. I would send BOTH of our LB’s packing tomorrow. We aren’t close on defense at all if the model is Carolina. I think a few posters here recently hit it right on the head. We don’t just need an edge guy. Those Carolina defenses had outstanding pressure and sacks coming from up the middle.
  14. I truly believe this team has been over performing and I’m worried that it won’t last. We need the best FA DE we can find, draft the best LB available and even trade back up for a RB if need be, and call it a day. I’m also worried about Star.
  15. We are way lacking in talent. The process can only get you so far. We need 3 or 4 great players added to this team. How?
  16. Buffalo, not SF, rushes for 200 yards and 2 Moss TD’s.
  17. Guys, he called a Cover 0 on the last play of the game. It’s kinda obvious what’s going on isn’t it?
  18. Sorry the Rich story didn't work out for you. Debunked.
  19. Apparently It was Kushner's call which surprised me. They aren't very bright. It also was Ivanka and Kushner that insisted on promoting Flynn when everyone knew the FBI had him dead to rights. This is a family that doesn't believe they have to follow the law. Laws are for the peasants.
  20. His memos aren't a "smoking gun" without him being fired first, which he was expecting from the start. The two events together are what makes this so bad.
  21. Lol. At least you're fun. The rest of this place is a factory of sadness.
  22. I'm just here for the salty tears. Can you show me where I could find some?
