  1. Going back to the old MB I was always one to post about "is this style of winning" sustainable. I was always proven right. It's not rocket science. When your winning because of defensive points and special teams it's usually not sustainable. At least not in Buffalo. However perhaps the offense picks it up...but after a quarter of the season it doesn't look to be ready to start carrying the load.
  2. 2001 Dick Jaurons Chicago Bears - Surprising breakout season - the league's top defense - 13-3 Record - I recall that team be very limited on Offense in regards to "star power" and average QB numbers - A ferocious defense that provided turnovers and points that helped flip games.
  3. I don't think many believe the Bills can score. If you listen to the national talk some think Shady is starting to show age. 4 games with 0 TDs. I guess the Bills are just going to have to keep winning KC style and we fans are just going to have to deal with it until.
  4. I'm having trouble ignoring the poor offense output in regards to points. Help me. 1 td and 2 near 60 field goals doesn't ring to me like a receipt for sustained success.
  5. BS that ball crossed the goal line and I have fantasy players on Dallas involved in that play.
  6. Murph always reminds me how little excitement there has been here lately. Taylor's first down run yesterday and Murph was having a heart attack in the booth with excitement. EMT on stand by should we go to the playoffs this season.
  7. These were my August picks...See no reason to alter anything yet. Jets - W @ Panthers - L Broncos - W @ Falcons - L @ Bengals - L Buccaneers - L Raiders - L @ Jets - W Saints - W @ Chargers - L @ Chiefs - L Patriots - L Colts - W Dolphins - W @ Patriots - L @ Dolphins - L
  8. Be careful. All those fans who rag on "The Patriots Way". If things go well you might have a "Trust the Process" to stomach. Although something tells me we won't mind that one.
  9. After Upset Special Week 3 around the league. I'm ready to believe no one knows who does what.
  10. When you think about that...we and more important they need to play the long game. This is a roster that post 2018 might be without Eric Wood Kyle Williams Marcel Dareus Jordan Matthews and a 31-32 year old McCoy I still think it would be a good idea to draft a QB. So when 2019 rolls along and all the good players we have no are gone we aren't asking Taylor to carry this team. He doesn't really carry it now.
  11. 1.) this defense is going to kill our chances of a high draft pick. 2.) this defense might carry us to a wild card 3.) Tyrod won't come out. The games will never be bad. Say what you want but Buffalo teams do not get blown out.
  12. Good Win, I picked this as a "W" back in August. But now I have 4 straight loses for Buffalo and I a final record of 6-10.
  13. Can't speak for others. But let's say it isn't authentic like you suggest...that's weak. Not a fan of inauthentic emotion. Optics just aren't good as your offense hops into their time machine and takes us back to the 1940s
  14. I don't think that they would pass I just don't think they're going to have a look anymore there are other teams now that I didn't consider the New York Giants the LA chargers the New Orleans saints who will also be willing to wheel and deal and drafting if they fall in love
  15. Probably being on the field it helps. But as viewer...seeing a head coach so happy for his defense as his offense is a walking embarassement is a little embarrassing for him. Keep clapping little buddy!
  16. Typical DC mentality. "Oh it was a good team, proud of the effort and the team fought hard." See the thing with defensive coordinators are they love this type of nonsense they love keeping games low scoring and close and they feel that it's a good thing that it comes down to the end even though their own offense is settinging the game back by 30 years and a complete embarrassment
  17. To be the QB for 2018: I didn't think it possible, but the number of teams looking for a QB in the First Round is now nearly 1/3 of the league. Buffalo isn't drafting a QB in Round 1. Buffalo's defense is good enough to keep this team in the 7-9 / 8-8 range.
  18. Everything about today was like being in a time machine. September looked like June outside. Bills offense looked like NFL Offenses from the 40s Coach McDermott looked like Defensive Coordinator McDermott with his inability to call time outs. Although I will say... with all the clapping McDermott does over the most simple plays his hands may not have been in the condition to form the time out symbol. It's a theory anyway
  19. Needed win and Taylor held it together with a few nice plays. But this game could have been from 2015 or 2016. Nothing "unleashed" and outside the legs nothing elite. Seeing what Washington did with a Playoff QB in Cousins...I see Buffalo drafting a QB basically no matter what.
  20. It would be nice. With Kyle Williams gone after this season and potentially Dareus gone... That middle of the D-Line could go down in a blink.
  21. One whiff of fall air. One drive by of the lots at the Stadium One Patriots lose and Only one day away... ...my fever broke. Go Bills!
  22. Lol. Why is it every unit that struggles or is awful in the Pre-Season is "saving it" for the regular season? Lol. Like clockwork. Your offense can't complete a pass...don't worry it's vanilla. Your defense can't stop a fly...don't worry they are keeping week 1 opponent guessing. Lol. But for some reason I doubt anyone who believes that would grant the opponent is also doing the same the thing. Only their team is smart and sly. Lol. And bravo for keeping a QB in longer than wanted against the Eagles because he and the offense was that bad. Because most teams ask their QB to work on nothing he will be doing in the regular season and then risk keeping him in a meaningless game longer. I picked the wrong line of work. Should have just invested all my money on betting with fellow bills fans these past two decades.
  23. 1.) Eveybody wants it. I know, we think our guys want it more. The other guys want it just as badly. That will play zero factor in anything. 2.) it doesn't matter how loud your stadium. So if you think that the stadium being a "Rick in" will help at all? Nope. tthat will play no factor on anything. 3.) injuries to your opponent outside of the quarterback will have little to no impact on the outcome of the game. You might get excited when you hear that the guard for one of your teams opponents is about quarterback still gonna be a challenge. 4.). Finally both sides give rousing speech is pregame you only hear about the weinnjng sites rousing speech you never hear about how your guys who just lost by 30 had a guy set up at the locker room and pour their heart out after they get blown out
