  1. Wasn’t McCloughan the GM Cousins went right up into his face after a great Washington win and basically yelled at? oh yeah! here it is. “After his 375 passing yards and three touchdowns helped the Redskins beat the Green Bay Packers 42-24, the veteran QB tracked down general manager Scot McCloughan and screamed a bold message into his ear.” “How you like me now?!” lol. Keep up the good work Mr. McCloughan. ?
  2. Every generation needs that one nut at the end of the bar mumbling into their beer about how Mohammad Ali was a bum, or Tiger Woods was a loser or Michael Jordan wasn’t that good. not sure I’m proud it will be fellow bills fans to earn that label of bitter nut preaching about the patriots in 20 years.
  3. Man ‘O Wars greatness did not lessen the impact fans felt for racehorses that followed him. Same to be said with Secritariat. the 70s Dolphins undefeated season had no impact on any team or its fans enjoyment of their own championship. phil micklesons majors pale in comparison to tigers or jacks...but the moments that he won them or bubba Watson’s Victories are not lessened. sounds like you are more worried about THE LEGACY. i will make it simple for you. the Patriots, Belichick and Brady are on the Mount Rushmore of NFL and possible professional sports. nothing the bills can do to change history. They won this era we lost. need to stop focusing on the Legacy for now because that isn’t going to happen anytime soon if ever. Focus on 1 first.
  4. I would say it was more luck that the Steelers game was even close. All of 4 TD passes by Steelers were so 50/50. 4 chucks and prayers two on 4th down with good coverage by the Jags and they ALL hit?! That is a little lucky.
  5. Franchise QB essential for extended Windows of being good. keeping a great defense together for more than a couple seasons...very difficult. See Seahawks or Ravens or 49ers. keeping Franchise QB around and sprinkling in pieces is much easier. Vikings will understand that next Season when they have to play in a division with #12 back. oh yeah...recall Aaron Rodgers? Who got taken out by Vikes when the Pack were 4-1? vikes that then got 2 Ws against Pack and finished with a 13-3 record. I doubt Vikings are hosting anything yesterday if #12 is starting for Packers all season.
  6. Haha. Come on. From an execution standpoint if you are a fan of the sport it’s a marvel to watch.
  7. Brady is the best and has been such a treat to watch all these seasons, so to see that level of excellence continue would be nice. however, I do find myself enjoying watching Blake Bortles continued journey toward the Super Bowl in the face of the football world telling him plainly that he is “garbage”. and besides...a Foles/Bortles SB is really the only way this awful NFL season should end.
  8. New York’s Jets 2015 - 10-6 2nd place AFC East. Missed PO. 2016- 5-11 4th place AFC East. Missed PO. Miami Dolphins 2016 - 10-6 2nd Place AFC East. WC Loss. 2017 - 6-10 3rd Palce AFC East. Missed PO. Buffalo Bills 2017 - 9-7 2nd Place AFC East. WC Loss. 2018 - ???????? All first year head coaches too that followed up with less than stellar returns on the sophomore season. what is the solution to avoid the Jets and the Dolphins fate?
  9. 1. how is Andy Dalton’s arm in 2018 will be key. 2. Will the afc as a whole rebound in 2018? buffalo has been pretty average and consistent with Taylor as QB 8, 7, 8 regular season wins. If he were to return it would be I’d say be between 7 and 9 wins and then it’s just a question do the Broncos, Raiders, Texans, Dolphins ...etc rebound at all to push those wild card records to 10 or even 11 wins.
  10. TT with 3 Offensive Coordinators in 3 Seasons. Condensed Playbooks. Benched twice. Missed 3 games to injury. 5 games with 0 Touchdowns of any kind in offense and that was in 2017. other options now please stick with Dennison if have to pick. Can’t rely on Andy Dalton every season.
  11. Turnovers Bortles gives them. Taylor does not give them. those 1-2 extra possessions in good field position might be enough for the additional 6-10 points to put Buffalo ahead.
  12. Bears have completed Step 1 in the attempt to turn Trubisky into the 2018 Jared Geoff.
  13. This is what makes the previous 17 seasons the most amazing. these type of average/slightly below average teams sneaking into the playoffs happens all the time. But to never be that team in 17 seasons is the biggest of them all to me. 2016 - 7-9 but the 8th loss game on a Miracle fg by Miami to force OT. Then we bench TT and lose to go 7-9 against the Jets. i think we all were a little guilty of not seeing this team as really always being on the cusp of a 6th seeded talent because they were never getting the lucky bounce. now this season they are coming. olus you didn’t mention that Miami played basically their 4th string QB yesterday
  14. Not a big fan of Taylor, but even less a fan of Rappaport “report” this could be his last regular season game as a Buffalo Bill. He can control his own destiny and all that “end of” talk should be sidelined until an appropriate point.
  15. Seems like everything is riding on that Jags/Titans game potentially. shoot I have buffalo going 9-7 and titans only winning the last game against Jags and it still drops Bills chances to 0%. then again...ravens I have at 3-0 and chargers at 2-1. this might mess the brain. So best to put the standings away for myself lol until week 17.
  16. Someone needs to email NFL.com because they have us as the 8th still with updated standings.
  17. Per ESPN Macine that I did, 9-7 for Buffalo, Baltimore, Los Angeles, Tennessee. Baltimore and Tennessee getting in.
  18. What is the tie breaker the titans have on us? i have them both at 8-6 after next week and Titans getting the nod.
  19. Eli will be available. And I want a shot at securing his rights while the rookie learns the ropes. maybe.
  20. 1.). Need younger coaches who are more offensively inclined. 2.) Coaches need greater job security. Most coaches would rather lose by a little and make all the safe calls than take risks and lose by a lot. It's easier to explain away when review time arrives.
  21. First, it's not impossible. beleive it or not Miami under Ryan Tannehill have beaten New England with Tom Brady several times. When they are actually trying. the jets too have beaten Tom Brady a few times this century. it can be done.
  22. Who cares if they aren't THAT good. if there is one thing to learn from this season. is for our fan base to finally learn what playoff teams look like. there are "playoff" teams. and then there are "playoff" teams. ;-p every season needs a Miami Dolphins wild card team.
